Round 1

                                       Eunni's pov

I looked at my empty bare room that I've lived in my whole life. The once smooth crème wooden desk now chipped with tear as you've bumped it through the years. Your plant that was slowly withering although watering it. The once cluttered bookshelf now empty looking much more spacious than before.

"Eunni!!" Your mom yelled from down the stairs. "Coming!" I yelled back quickly grabbing my luggage and running down the stairs. My mom gave me a warm smile and pulled me into a comforting hug. "We will always welcome you back no matter what, remember that Euns" she reassured against my neck. "I know mom I know" I chuckled at her nervousness.

Sometimes I think they're more nervous than me. I know it's not that common for a girl to wish to be a boxer but my grandpa heavily inspired me to follow my dreams no matters who's judging, not that I would care about what others think.

I gasp as I seen my dad has already sneaked through and took my bags. My dads pretty shy but my moms a total extrovert, she said that she hit on him first and he would not take a hint I chuckle to myself.

"You should go honey, dads probably waiting" she said choking up. Tears brimming her eyes. I smiled "I love you mom"
"I love you too sweetie now go" she said and turned around sobbing quietly yet smiling showing how proud she is.

I took one last glance at our home and started walking out the big dark oak door.

I walk towards the red slightly worn down Kia rocking an black exterior and cluttered console. I sat down in the passengers seat and starts buckling up my seatbelt.

The car wasn't too hot from the summer sun since my dad had the air conditioner running for about five minutes.

My dad looks at the gps on the infotainment system and starts pulling out of the aspire driveway of our family home.

I roll down my window and stick my hand out, my long fingers flowing through the wind as we drive through town. Listening to the fm radio blasting throughout the car.

I watch the houses flow behind us as we pass them. I lived on a block filled with many kids my age I remember meeting up at the park after school gossiping about others and boys and how annoying the teachers are but as the years passed slowly people moved away due to inflation of the rent and only a handful of family's stayed while the other houses got renovated by higher class family's.

Lost in my thoughts I haven't notice that we were about 10 minutes away from the college of martial arts called 'Gwontu' an Ivy League school in the terms of boxing located in Daejeon. Only the most talented martial artists can get in. The school has helped raise legendary martial artists such as Bruce Lee,Jet Li, Jackie Chan,Donnie Yen.Giving it the name as the golden boxing school.

I look outside the window taking in the neon lights of the city as it was around 7pm. I look at my right and stare in awe of the Expo Bridge.  The arches illuminating blue and red symbolizing Yin and Yang.

On either sides of the road are covered with convenience stores and vibrant glowing signs of yellow oranges lighting up the streets. Tall white residence buildings on top of the  convenience stores.

We pulled into the parking lot and I gaze at all the luxury cars. Cadillacs, Escalades, Bentleys, Porches, Rolls-Royce's, and other luxury car brands painted in dark neutral colors such as black, grey, and white decorate the parking lot. Although you need talent to get into Gwontu you also need to be rich to pay the enrollment price.

Lucky me my family isn't necessarily poor but isn't necessarily rich so we can pay the price but we don't live a extravagant life with luxury cars and mansions we just live a comfortable life without worrying about paying bills.

I collected my phone from the charging console and placed it into my pocket of my comfy grey sweats and exited the red Kia making sure not to slam the passenger car door and receive a scolding from my father.

I walk to the trunk of the car and take out my two Samsonite beige luggage carriers that I magically fit my whole room into and happily strolled next to my dad with a bright smile on our way to the receptionist's office.

After being cleared from the school's vestibules my dad and I walk towards the campus's receptionist and I look around at the grey-blue color scheme of the waiting room, two modern light grey benches with a built in cushion completed by sturdy steel frame. Placed on either side of the vestibule doors.

I snap back into reality as I feel my dad nudging me with his sturdy shoulder and I look to see the middle aged woman holding two keys in front of me displaying two traditional goldish keys, one for backup.

I smile embarrassingly and shyly take the dorm keys thanking her.

"Your on the third floor to the right room 343" she says sweetly and goes back to typing on her keyboard.

"Thanks miss....?" I question trying to look for a name tag of some sort

"Song"

"Thanks miss song have a good night!" I dickride her in case I don't make the college courtesy and need to get back in, which I hope won't happen but better be safe then sorry and your ass in the streets at night.

I take my luggage despite my dad insisting he can carry them and make my way to the elevators and press the third floor button. As the doors open I step in my dad slowly stepping in after.

"I don't trust these things y'know? It doesn't make sense" my dad protests as I chuckle at his old timer mindset.

"It's fine we aren't that heavy" I smile trying to hold back my laugh as my dad glares at me.

My dad quickly scurries out the elevator as the elevator chimes indicating it's at the right floor.

I walk down the halls dragging my luggage along the long grey checkered carpet.

326....332...337....340

I count as I past the wooden doors on either side of the hallway letting out a sigh of relief as I reach my dorm.

I grasp the brass doorknob and inhale as I open the door to my new home for the next few years. I immediately walk to one of the beds plopping myself onto the soft white mattress relieving my tensed back from the long car ride.

I sit back up looking at my dad peeking through the door. I can't help but chuckle from his shy introverted personality.

"Come in dad, there's not a monster" I tease to his dismay as he rolls his eyes walking around with his hands in his pockets as he inspects the place.

I smile "It's nice right?" I smile proudly as I landed myself one of the best dorms in the campus with the help of my high GPA.

"Yeah,Eunni honey if you ever need anything don't be shy to call me, I'll always answer and don't tru-"

"trust people and go out to party I know I know dad" I roll my eyes playfully finishing his sentence.

"I know I just don't want you to get hurt or anything bad to happen. Your my only daughter and don't know what I would do if something happens to you"

"Gosh you watch to much law and order and besides I don't have much interest in boys anyway and I will be careful don't worry" I give him a reassuring smile and I see some tension release from his face.

"Okay I believe you now give your old man a hug!" He says displaying a huge smile showing his pearly whites.

We pulls me into a tight embrace slightly leaning down as I'm two inches taller than my 5'4 dad. His dad bod softly squeezing me.

"I love you Eunni I'm so proud of you" he says his voice slightly cracking as he holds back tears
"I love you too dad, but I'm not dying" I chuckle as he hits my back and I could feel him rolling his eyes even though I can't even see his eyes.

He slowly pulls out of the hug and gives me one of friendly smiles and after exchanging a few more words he moseyed his way out and I begin working on my dorm.

I look to the right and I see a twin bed with blue satins sheets and a navy blue blanket covering it neatly and a wooden nightstand horizontal to mine on the side that has a wireless charger, lotion, boxing tape, and a bin next to it.

I smile thinking of what I see. So far my roommates seems clean so maybe this won't be too bad. I wasn't too upset to have a roommate as it would be a good opportunity to make a friend just like those movies and they would have a sister-like bond.

I take out my newly bought pink cotton bed set and place it over my twin bed. I sigh to myself thinking about how it's gonna be like sleeping on a twin bed again, sleeping like your in a casket arms crossed and unable to move very far without falling.

As I tightly secure the sheet's corner onto mattress corner. I turn around proudly my expressions quickly changing as I jump slightly and let out an embarrassing squeal as I was met with a robust chest and piercing brown eyes looking down at me skeptically.

"Who are you?"
