Aspen ate her hot cheetos in silence watching her aunt Remy on the phone looking for her credit card. She was feeling hyper today and was so happy making Remy raise a eyebrow, finally paying for their stuff they walked out getting in the car.

"Joshua, you annoying me I'll be home when I get there damn." She spoke hanging up. 

"You're so mean to him." Aspen spoke making Remy laugh.

"He's so annoying, he wants me to come home just so we can look in each other faces." She rolled her eyes.

"You like it." Aspen smiled making her laugh.

"You wanna come with me to get my hair done?" 

"Yeah, I don't have nothing else to do."

"Doesn't Jamie go record his song with Zayyir today? You not gon go support?" 

"Kaiser and India wants me to but I don't think I should." Aspen spoke rubbing her nails together. "It's been almost three weeks since I spoke to him and I'm still not over it."

"This something big though Aspen, he's been to every competition or science fair you had even though he hate it. I'm not saying stay but at least go show some support." 

"Okay, I guess you're right." Aspen nodded.

"You know what's the best way to make a nigga regret losing you?" 

Turning to look her way Aspen answered. "No."

"Show em why he shouldn't of lost you."

"So what should I do?" Aspen asked not really getting it.

"Change your hair, your clothes, get a new man." Remy laughed. "Show em you ain't doing bad without him and watch how he start regretting everything he ever did to you." 

Aspen didn't say anything but thought about what she was going to do, she got out the car following Remy in a hair shop. Aspen looked around at all the different kind of bundles, colors and lengths. 

"You think this will look cute on me?" Aspen asked Remy touching a bundle.

"Blondes have more fun." Remy smirked holding up the blonde hair she was planning on getting.

"Ouu, we finna be twins." Aspen squealed making her laugh. 

Remy picked four bundles of 30 inches Malaysian hair since she wanted it to go past her ass, she watched Aspen pick through the inches not knowing what she wanted. Aspen finally picked 24 inches of mink Brazilian body wave. Remy got out her card again paying the total of $700 for her and Aspen hair. 

They walked to another part of the shop where Kai, Alyssa, Alli and Olivia was standing around. Kai perked up seeing them walk in, she ran straight to Aspen making her laugh. Aspen hugged all of them then stood there admiring all of them. They were in their 60s and looked like they were in their late 20s.

"You ain't tell me you was bringing my baby, I haven't seen her in so long." Kai smiled still holding on to Aspen. "You growing up, look at my pretty baby."

"She look like me when I was a teenager." Alli said making them agree.

"Who doing my hair?" Remy asked.

"Cliff." She motioned for him to come so he can start.

"Aspen want her hair done too, she changing her look." 

"You heartbroken?" Olivia asked making her nod slowly. "When Mace and I separated, I changed everything. Had him begging to come back."

"He used to call my phone like can you talk to your cousin? I just wanna talk." Alli laughed.

"We jumped the shit out of Mason when he cheated." Lys laughed.

"We jumped Mace all the time." Kai laughed. "The worst jump was when he told ol girl about the abortion, JC, Iyan and JJ didn't know what the fuck to do." 

"That's the original gang." Lys laughed. "Me, you, Alli and Liv. Now Alli and Liv be doing they own thing, barely around and shit." 

"Girl bye, I come around enough." Alli laughed.

"So why you heart broken?" Olivia asked as she started braiding her hair up.

"I fell for my best friend, the feelings were mutual. I told him I wanted something more and he said he was bad for me and we haven't spoken in three weeks."

"Wait, Jamie?" Kai asked making Aspen nod. "I remember y'all used to claim y'all were in love when you was 5."

"First of all, their married cause I remember the wedding." Lys smirked making Aspen smile wide.

When Aspen was 3, Jamie told her she was the prettiest girl in the world and gave her his food while asking did she wanna be his girlfriend. Aspen said yes then at 5 he proposed and Aspen said yes again. When Lys and Kai asked them why they were getting married they said they were in love so Lys fake married them. 

"I still got the video." Lys added.

"People fall out of love." Aspen mumbled but they still heard her.

"You want JC to beat him up?" Alyssa asked making them laugh. "You know for you he won't give it a second thought." 

"Shit, I'll come out of retirement and beat him up." Kai said.

"Speaking of coming out of retirement, y'all remember Aspen best friend Kaiser right?" Remy spoke remembering what Ky said.

"Of course, I love all Aspen friends. Especially Lay." Olivia smiled.

"Tell me why Kaiser got a boyfriend and his mother and sisters be jumping her." Remy spoke. "They all older than 20 and they be jumping her, she got a black eye now because they jumped her." 

"She know where they live?" Kai asked pulling out her phone. "I'll most definitely come out of retirement for that."

"She said she didn't know but I found all of them and I got their addresses." Remy spoke.

"Yeah, that's out of line. Aspen tell her we gon fuck them up." Alli said. 

"Do her mother know about this?" Olivia asked.

"Kaiser mom died and her stepmother doesn't necessarily care about her to do anything."

"Well, she got us and Imma whoop his mother ass for her." Lys said.

"You look so beautiful." Remy told Aspen for almost the seventh time making her laugh as she came out in a different outfit. 

"Thank you teetee, I love how this look on me." 

"I do too." Remy looked over her hair. "So we got your hair done, nails and a new outfit. Time to show the new you." 

"I'm nervous." Aspen smiled.

"Don't be." Remy laughed. "You want something to eat?" 

"Popeyes." 

"Most def." Remy nodded as she pulled into the parking lot. They got out while Aspen was laughing.

They ordered their Popeyes then waited in line as people starred at them like they was something to eat. Aspen laughed jumping in Remy snapchat video since she was still so hyper, Aspen decided to pay for their food since Remy spent so much money on her already. As they was walking out a car in the parking lot was playing a song making Aspen stop to dance and rap.

"What you got Aspy?" Remy instigated recording as she dropped down going side to side.

"I got that drip, I'm overseas. D R I P P I N G, I got that VVS I C E!" Aspen rapped loudly scrunching her face up milly rocking.

"You cute as hell in this." She laughed as they passed a group of niggas getting their attention as they stopped talking.

"Send it to me." Aspen smiled.

"Yo, y'all beautiful." One of em called out right before they could past them.

"Thank you." Remy smiled.

"And you chocolate, just give me one date I promise Imma treat you how you deserve." The cute lightskin one stated making them stop walking. 

"How I deserve to be treated?" Remy asked touching her chin deciding to entertain him.

"I see you rocking Gucci shades, Gucci boots, even the Gucci purse so that let me know you got money, shit I got money too but that ain't what I'm offering. I'm offering a good time and a chance to get to know you because I deserve someone who could match my fly and someone as beautiful as you."

"Yeah boyy!" His friends gassed as Aspen laughed and Remy smiled.

"You got game, you almost made me forgot about my age, kids and husband." She laughed showing off her big ass ring.

"What?" He asked confused. "You married with kids?" 

"And I'm almost two times your age boo." She laughed.

"Damn, you aging backwards? You finer than any girl my age." He looked her up and down making them laugh.

"Let me go because you boosting my ego." Remy said making the boy and Aspen chuckle.

"Aspen?" Aspen heard from behind her making both of them turn around to see the boy from the gas station making her smile in the inside, she been praying she run into him again.

"Darius, right?" She walked towards him.

"Yeah, I almost ain't recognize you. I like the blonde look on you."

"Thank you. I see you got a shape up, I see you boo." She teased making him run his hands down his waves and smile.

"I ain't get ya number the first time I saw you but I think this a sign that I gotta have it now." He smirked.

"Y'all little boys so damn smooth." Remy spoke making the group of boys laugh along with Aspen.

"Yeah, you can have my number." Aspen nodded holding her phone out while he did the same. 

"I'll text you beautiful." He gave her a hug as she felt comfortable in his arms. 

"Okay." She smiled walking away with Remy. 

"New look, new clothes, new man." Remy chanted making Aspen laugh.

"Imma come in to say hey to Zayyir and I wanna see how Ky man looking." Remy spoke putting on her shades.

"Okay." Aspen nodded calling Zayyir. 

"Wassup Aspen?" 

"Which studio are Jamie and the rest of y'all in?" She asked waving to Zayyir assistant she knew getting on the elevator. 

"Studio 5d." 

"Okay, Remy and I coming now." She said pressing the 5 button then wiping her finger on her pants, these buttons had so many germs.

They walked off the elevator seeing Zayyir standing at the desk talking on the phone, Remy and Aspen both hugged him then followed. When she walked in Jamie, Kaiser, India, Gee, Dell, KC, Nay, Lay and three more boys was in the room along with her uncles Avery, Ralph and Zaydrien.

"I know that ain't my niece." Raphael screamed getting everybody attention making them look at her.

"Yes, yes Princess Aspy has arrived." She spun around then dropping. "Y'all lives may now get better."

"Aye aye my niece bad and boujee." Avery yelled as they walked towards each other milly rocking. 

"What frontal bitch?" Ralph flipped her weave bopping side to side.

"Y'all kill me together." Remy laughed while Ralph, Avery and Aspen continued dancing.

"Aight, aight I quit." Aspen waved them off going to hug her friends.

"Bitch, when did you get your hair done?" India asked.

"You look fucking good." Lay smiled.

"Thank you." She smiled going to hug Nay. "I got it done today."

She walked towards the boys getting their attention although she been had Jamie attention since she walked in, he wanted to know was she going to speak to her, he hoped she did. She smiled hugging Dell, KC and Gee since they were the only boys she knew out the group.

"I was thinking you was all shy and shit but you energetic as hell." Dell said making her laugh.

"That's because that was your first time meeting me, I got a idea of you now so it's time you met the real me." She smiled causing him to laugh.

"Aspen come here bitch." Nay laughed.

"Okay." She laughed already knowing what they was about to get on her about. She was about to walk pass Jamie but stopped and smiled. "Hey." She didn't give him time to say anything back because she walked away.

"You so damn stupid." Dell said as they all looked at Aspen.

"Since you ain't tryna fuck with her can I? Cause damn." KC continued looking making Jamie glare at him.

"I'll kill all y'all niggas." He mumbled making them laugh listening to the instrumental beat writing. 

"Turn this up." Gee said catching Zayyir attention doing as said while Jamie nodded.

"That's your boyfriend?" Remy asked.

"Yeah." Ky smiled proudly.

"Okay, he cute. I was about to curse you out if he was ugly and you getting jumped for him." Remy said bluntly making them laugh.

"Nah, my lil baby something to look at." She smiled.

"Okayyyy." Lay said as Gee and Jamie freestyled back and forth in the booth on the beat.

"They wrote this down?" Ralph asked bobbing his head to the music.

"Nah, this off the top of they head." Dell recorded them.

"He just said "You judging me for carrying, you ain't gon save me when they blasting. Another black man down now that's a tragedy." Yooo." Avery repeated as Gee continued rapping.

"They nice." Zayyir nodded pulling his goatee with a million thoughts in his head, he was going to make them big.

"Niggas switch on they manz over a bitch, bitches switch up over some dick, cops kill a nigga then get a slap on the wrist." Ralph repeated Jamie as he recorded himself on snap.

"They're fucking snapping." India stood up hyped. 

Aspen wanted to be happy for him, fuck that she was happy for him, his dreams were going to finally come true but she wouldn't be on his side like they always talked about. Just as she started smiling her phone beeped letting her know she had a text from Darius making her smile even wider.

Jamie dapped up Gee as they laughed knowing they just rode the beat and snapped, they came out all smiles dapping everybody up while they told them how good they was. Jamie appreciated the love but he only cared about one person opinion and she was sitting down not paying him no mind.

This whole time he been doing little shit to get her attention and she still didn't pay him no mind, he was starting to get mad. He watched as she sat by one of his friends Nine, she started recording for snapchat and Nine was watching her every move making Jamie mad.

Aspen feeling somebody looking at her she looked at the caramel boy and smiled. "Can you take a picture of me?" She asked handing him her phone as she posed for a few pictures. "How I look?" 

"You look good." He downplayed it making her smile.

"Thank you, I'm Aspen."

"Wassup? I'm Nine."

"Your real name?"

"Nah but it might as well be, everybody call me it." He laughed.

"I just wanted to introduce myself since nobody else did, what's y'all name?" She asked the other two smiling.

"I'm Nami." He shook her hand chuckling, he only shook white people hand at job interviews.

"Rage."

"I'm Aspen."

"We know who you are." Rage laughed making her raise a eyebrow.

"Is that a good thing or bad thing?"

"It ain't nothing bad." He smirked.

"Oh okay, I thought you was going to tell me I had a bad reputation. I was going to cry." She joked making them laugh.

"You actually cool as hell, thought you was finna be stuck up." Nine asked.

"Why'd you think that?" She asked.

"I offended you?" 

"No, I get that a lot more than you think." She spoke honestly. "I like to prove people wrong though so why'd you think I would be stuck up?" 

"Cause you rich." He chuckled. "People with money always acting like they better." 

"Just because I have money doesn't define my personality, I was born a millionaire but I still don't let anything get to my head. Money could be gone tomorrow but my high spirit won't."

"I never thought about it like that." Rage nodded. "Niggas been doing me so dirty if I become rich, I'mma be the most selfish nigga in the world. Imma say no so much, they gon think that's my name." 

"When you become rich." Aspen corrected. 

"What?" 

"You said if you become rich, it's when you become rich. Speak everything into existence so the only people that's shocked when you make it is the people who were praying on your downfall." 

"You got me thinking bout moving mountains and shit, you a motivator?" He laughed making her chuckle.

"Rage bout to steal ya girl." Dell said watching Aspen touch his arm from laughing too hard.

"She ain't gon wanna fuck with no corpse." He said seriously making them laugh.

Ain't no nigga was having her, especially not one of his niggas. He'll cut that brother shit short real quick and kill them without thinking twice about it, he won't play bout Aspen.

"Princess Aspy? Can you go get my papers from my office? They in a purple folder on my desk." Zayyir asked making her stop laughing.

"Okay." She nodded taking the key from him.

Jamie watched her walk out thinking this the perfect time to get her alone by herself, he watched her walk on to the elevator and just when it was about to close, he held his out out making the doors open back up. Aspen saw the tattoo on his hand knowing it was him before she could even see his face.

"What floor?" He asked standing by the button. She didn't say anything but she leaned up to press the third floor, he sighed knowing this was going to be harder than he expected it to.

He followed her out the elevator as she prayed he went away, she couldn't take being with him alone, her heart wasn't healed yet and she looked too good to be crying over him today. She unlocked the door grabbing the file as quickly as she could making the papers fall out making her sigh as she saw his hand reach out to pick them up.

"I got it." She snapped picking them up making him back up.

"You spoke to me earlier but now you not speaking to me, I don't get it." He spoke to her as she rearranged the papers back in order. "I miss you Aspen, more than I thought I would, more than I should."

"I spoke to be polite." She spoke trying to walk out the door but he grabbed her arms.

"Aspen for real?" 

"You walked away from me, we have nothing to discuss." 

"I walked away so I can give you your space, I can't give you what you want but that don't mean I walked away to be out your life. I don't understand-"

"I sleep with Kash or Allure every night because every night we were on FaceTime or on the phone, I can't go to sleep without hearing your voice or seeing your face. You right, you don't understand and you won't ever because I'm not explaining it anymore."

"I can't sleep without you either." He told her honestly. "I just miss you so damn much Aspen."

"Get used to not having me in your life." She mumbled trying to walk past him again but he stopped her.

"You talking about me walking away but look what you doing, I love you Aviana." He called her by her middle name making her tear up. "It's not enough for you but it is for me, I love you so much I'm not willing to hurt you." 

"Don't you see that you already are?" She asked as a tear came from her eye making him feel worse than he already did. "You don't think not being able to talk to you hurts? It does Jamie but not being with you hurts more. Excuse me." 

Jamie sighed getting frustrated because he just wanted her to understand from his point of view and nobody understood. He went to say something else but Avery walked into the office looking at his niece crying instantly getting mad.

"Aye Jamie, I'm tired of you making my niece cry." He spoke up as Aspen wiped her face clearing her throat.

"It's okay uncle Re, I was just leaving anyway." She mumbled grabbing the purple folder hurrying out while Jamie stood there wishing she come back. 

"You don't wanna be with her and you don't wanna be without her, it's selfish as hell." Avery spoke up interrupting Jamie from his thoughts. "Anybody could tell you love her but for some reason you can't see y'all together so just leave her alone. Leave her alone until she could get over you or at least let her wound heal because my niece ain't bout to keep crying over you real talk." 

Avery walked out leaving Jamie there as he sighed taking his words in, he was just going to have to get used to not being around her. He would just have to adjust to everything and it would only be his fault. 

"I'm ready to go." Aspen walked up to Remy making her nod. 

"Okay, let's go then." 

"Aye Aspen, I heard you the science kid with the bars!" Gee yelled getting her attention as everybody laughed. She smiled pushing Jamie to the back out her thoughts.

"I do a lil sumn sumn." She smiled.

"Go show em they don't call you Princess Aspy for nothing." Zayyir gassed her making her laugh as she walked in the booth putting on the speakers. 

"Aight, I'm bout to kill it." She laughed. "Shout out to my mom and dad for creating their first blessing." 

"She gets on my nerves." Nay laughed as they watched Aspen bob her head to the beat. 

"You search my name up and you see my net worth but that ain't ish if you see how I money surf. They say money is the root of all evil but if you ain't securing the bag then how you sleeping peaceful? I'm only fifteen but I been counting millions, unless you paying me I don't give a fudge bout yo opinion." 

Avery and Jamie walked back in seeing everybody smiling and recording so they looked to see who was in the booth making both of them smile. Avery instantly became her hype man making her go harder as everybody laughed and smiled recording her.

"Yo, I'm really confused." Gee said walking to Jamie after he finished recording Aspen.

"On what?" 

"How the fuck you letting her go." 

Jamie didn't say nothing back snapping a picture of her just as she finished, in the off guard she had on a big ass smile. He posted it to his snap and Instagram with a finger crossed emoji as his caption.

He decided he was going to give her space but he was going to get his best friend back sooner than later.
