MELODY POV
I stood infront of a house and stared at it, so this is where I have to live my whole life. This place will be my permanent address. I sighed and step on the doorway and knocked, still can't believe that this is it... This is where a new beginning of my new life starts leaving the past behind. My thoughts were interrupted by the opening of the door by a lady in her late 70's still looking as beautiful as always.

"GRANNNYYYYYYY!" I screamed seeing her there standing and went in to hug her tightly.

"Oh my dear! How are you? I feel really sorry for you. I heard what happened, I never expected he would do something like this. I am sorry dear."

"Its okay granny, its not ur fault, u didnt knew anything about it. And lets not talk about it I am too tired, lets get in and I can smell something" I said avoiding the topic and trying to cheerup the moment.

I know my granny is really upset after what happened but now I need to start afresh and forget all about it. I heard my granny call me from kitchen and I knew immediately that she has made my favourite food, lasagne.
We had our food together and talked a little bit enjoying each others company. She told me she got me registered over here in one of a nearby school and I start from monday.

That means I still have one day to myself. Then after bidding granny goodbye I left for bed and slept remembering the past.
