Nelson's PoV

I really wished Annie would tell me what was going on. Why were we in a hut and eating soup with a giant and a titan? I think that was random enough to qualify getting answers for, but she just launched into an explanation of what has been happening for the past week. She told them a little bit about her past life, how we met, what was happening at camp, our chat with "Tarty" as Annie now called him apparently, jumping in after Nico and Will, losing Will, finding Bob, and up until the point where Damasen found us. At least she filled me in with the last little bit.

By the time she was finished, I still had a raging headache from when I woke up, we had finished eating, and Gab and Nico were starting to wake up. "Ow, I feel like I had been ran over by a freight train," Gab complained while ze sat up in the bed.

Nico seemed to wake up slower. He blinked slowly as if he was trying to remember what was going on. He moved his head a few inches to look at us with a slight frown. "Where-" His eyes widened, and he shot out of bed before he crumpled in a heap on the ground. Bob helped him up, and he unsteadily made his way over to where we were sitting. Gab looked around in confusion, but when ze saw where we were and the giant sitting on the ground eating soup, zeir eyes went wide. Ze got up and slowly walked over to Damasan.

"Are you actually..." ze couldn't finish zeir sentence. 

"Yes, he's Damasan," Annie confirmed.

Damasan looked em over curiously. "Annie told me about the quest. I suppose Bob took you all to find me in order to ask for help?" His question was directed to the silvery Titan who was subconsciously petting Small Bob.

"We need your help to free Hades, find Will, and find a way to close the rift," Bob said.

"What you need is a plan on how to get there. I don't suppose you have one of those?" Damasan asked.

"I had heard that Lethe was down here somewhere. If we can find her, we might be able to convince her to help us. She would be able to make the monsters forget that they saw us as we walk by. It is also a safer bet than going to Achlys." Bob said.

"Wait, isn't the Lethe a river? I thought that was what Butch warned me about before leaving." I said.

"And who is Achyls?" Annie asked.

"Achyls is the goddess of misery. I agree that we don't want to pay her a visit. And usually when people talk about the Lethe, they do mean the river, but there are a few myths where there is a goddess named Lethe who is a personification of the river." Gab said.

Bob nodded in agreement. "If she is in a good mood, she should be able to help us."

Damasan snorted. "You think she's going to help you? She helped take your memory.

Bob shrugged. "Would you rather we go to Achyls?"

Damasan scowled. "No because with Lethe at least you'll die a less painful death. How do you expect to find her though? From what I heard, you don't exactly have the luxury of time to look all over Tartarus."

"She can't be too far from the river right? I would think she would stay around it especially if she's trapped down here. If I were her, I wouldn't want to travel farther into Tartarus than I had to." Gab reasoned.

"We could get to the river much faster if you help us," Annie said sweetly. "We can also help you get out of here."

Damasan looked at the group of people around him. I looked around at us too. We were all worn out, tired, and we looked like we tried to sleep with a hungry dragon in an active volcano. I looked back up at Damasan, and he sighed. "Get some sleep. I'll pack our bags and keep watch. This better be the last time I have to trek through this pit in an attempt to help half dead demigods succeed in a doomed quest."

As he got up and turned to clean up what was left of dinner, Annie got up, ran up to him, and gave him a hug. He stopped what he was doing in surprise and looked down at her. "Thank you, Damasan," she whispered, before letting go and curling up on a spot on the bed. Nico, Gab, and I glanced at each other before we got on the bed too. I didn't think I would be able to fall asleep after everything that happened, but as soon as my head hit the pillow, my eyes closed on their own. I was asleep in a matter of seconds.
