Chapter 6
Ty and I have been friends for what felt like forever. At the beginning of us being friends, I spend most of my time at his place.
It was my second home. I know his house like I know my own. I knew where everything was; I've been to all the rooms in this house.
Except for Liam's.
Never have I once entered his room. In the 5-years I've known them, I never dared to step foot inside it.
I was always terrified and scared to enter it.
I've, of course, seen it from my bedroom window, but that was nothing since I could never see the entirety of it. I barely even knew the colour of his walls.
But despite hiding away and being afraid, I never imagine being in his room with Liam himself dragging me to it.
The wall was white. His bed was pressed against his wall, covered in plain grey sheets. His closet didn't have a door, but somehow it was still clean. There were a few shirts and hoodies here and there, but not much. It was instead covered in paper.
Sheets of papers everywhere. It covered almost the entire of his floor. I noticed a few drawings of various things, but mostly it was covered in words. My bet says all of them were lyrics of songs he wrote.
He had his acoustic guitar on his bed and a keyboard piano next to his closet.
I stared into his dark orbs, trapped against his bare wall, his hand on either side of my head.
"What d-do you want?" I asked, shuddering against my words.
I could hear the beating of my heart the longer we stood like this. I wanted nothing more than to escape and hoped Tyler or Cassian would come in here and save me, but none of them did.
"I asked you to leave me alone, Liam," I said, looking right into his eyes. I saw his face fall for a second, his eyes going blank.
"I can't," he murmured so quietly.
"What?" I asked, matching his tone of voice.
He shook his head. "You don't get to decide that. I'll do what I want," he said, sounding exactly like the Liam I knew.
He brought his hand to the loose strand of hair on my face twirling it with his finger. "I wanted to say sorry for what Isaac said to you last week. He didn't mean it," he said, surprising me completely.
The Liam Stone was apologizing to me? And not even for himself but his friend?
"But now that I see you. You did gain a bit of weight," he eyed me up and down.
I shouldn't have let my guards down this fast. I can't trust him and, certainly not this fast, either.
"But you look good," he bit his lips. "Better than how I left you,"
Um, what? What was going on with this man?
"Stop it, Liam. I don't have time for this," I say, trying to push his hands away, but once, again he trapped me—his hand travelling down to my waist, holding me firmly against the wall. My arms fell to my side as I looked up at him.
"Okay, seriously, let me g-"I didn't even finish my sentence when he twisted me against his arm and pushed me on his bed with him on top of me and my arms pinned above my head.
"What the? What are you doing?" I snapped at him. I struggled against his hold, but he held me so firmly against his grasp that there was no point in fighting.
"You know I never thought you would be on my bed, but now that I actually have you here, there's so much I want to do," he smirked, biting the corner of his lips.
He brought his lips closer to mine, and I immediately closed my eyes pressing, my lips together. I could feel his breath fan against me, and my stomach shifts in excitement as he gets closer to me. My toes curled under me, and I waited for our lips to connect, but they didn't.
"Fuck," he cursed
I wasn't sure whether I was relieved or disappointed. But he let go of my arms and pushed himself off of me and stood up in front of me. I got up, sitting on the edge of his bed, fixing my shirt, confused as ever.
"What's wrong?" I whispered.
"I don't think you should be here right now," he said.
I looked at him, puzzled and got up to stand near him. He came closer to me until he was pressed against me.
I looked down and gasped.
He let out a chuckle and said, "It's a good thing I stopped when I did cuz if I hadn't-" he came closer to my ear, "you would be screaming my name all night,"
I choked on my spit and began hysterically coughing moving, away from him.
I didn't know what was wrong with him. He acted entirely differently each second, and I couldn't even keep up.
"Storm," the door burst open and in came Tyler. "Sorry to interrupt, but Cas wanted to see you before he left. He's outside," he said.
I shook my head and turned to leave, but Liam caught my arm, pulling me one more time against him. "This is not over," he said, licking the side of my neck, sending an electric run down my body.
He lets me go, and without a second glance, I ran after Tyler, who had left already.
I tried to steady my breath, telling myself to calm down. Reminding myself not to overthink any of this and remember the hatred I still feel towards him.
But it was hard when at that moment, I knew no matter how much I deny it; I liked it.
-
"You're leaving already," I said, making my way over to Tyler and Cassian.
They both smiled, and Cas nodded his head. "Ya, I got get back to my dad's office,"
"This late?' I questioned.
"What can I say? I work day and night," he winked. I rolled my eyes and giggled.
"But hey, when were you going to tell me you and Liam were a thing?" he raised his eyebrow with a sneer.
It felt like I was choking all over again on literal air this time because I didn't expect him to say that at all. Tyler, on the other hand, bursts out laughing.
"That's because they aren't," Ty said in the midst of him still laughing.
"Wait, I thought you guys were, you know... dating,"
"Well, you thought wrong," I spat.
"Sorry Sun, I didn't mean-"
"No, Cas, I'm sorry I didn't mean to sound rude. It's just crazy you thought that," I sighed, interrupting him.
"I just figured since he rushed you out of the room,"
"No, that was nothing,"
"Good," he mumbled.
"What?" I asked.
"Nothing, but I got to get going now," he said. "Let's do something soon, guys," he said.
I nodded my head. "Yes, we have too," I said.
He smiled, coming up to me, kissing the tops of my head and waved us both goodbye before getting on top of his standard BMW motorcycle and left.
I looked over at Tyler crossing my arm, and asked, "Why didn't you come to my rescue,"
He shrugged his shoulder, "I wasn't going to disrupt the new couple," he laughed.
"I'm going to kill you, Ty!" I yelled.
He snickered.
"But aren't you glad Cas is back," he said with a smile?
I clapped my arm, and a broad smile spread across my face. "Yes! I missed him so much," I exclaimed.
Tyler, Cassian and I have been really good friends ever since the beginning of my high school freshman year. Cassian and Tyler were in the same grade, and when I started high school, Tyler introduced me to him.
It took me a little bit of time getting used to being around him at first, but we became inseparable afterwards. We would spend most of our time together. They were the only friends I had, and I liked being around them.
Cassian, unfortunately, moved in the middle of my freshman year because of his dad's work, and as much as I did try to keep in touch with him, I lost contact after a while, especially after I started dating Noah.
I was beyond surprised to see him here today. But I also couldn't be happier because it felt like an old-time. Almost, as if we never stopped being friends.
I missed Cassian so much, and I couldn't wait to catch up with him again.
