A weed, seed and a hoe
'Wendell, I brought you here
because I thought it would be good.
You have everything you need
or ever would.
From one seed
this magnificent place arose
and what do you do?
You turn up your nose.'
'It's boring, cutting grass
and trimming trees;
yanking every weed
while down on bended knees.
Then you sent that woman
who doesn't wear a stitch,
who wanders 'round the garden
doing nothing . . .
And every time I'm hungry
and want to take a break
she's always in the food court
yakking with that snake.'
'Wendell, this is paradise,
you should be happy that you're here.
I admit Fran might be-- pushy
but she is there to bring you cheer.
Just keep the garden litter free . . .
is that clear?'
'Sure, it's easy enough for you to say,
you don't have to dig and weed and hoe.
Same thing every single day,
no place else to go.
And look, here she comes again . . .
Oh! Oh . . . ho, ho!'
'Wendell! No, no!'
