After two servings of bacon and eggs, I stood up and yawned loudly. My sister giggled at my loudness. I allow a small smile to show on my face but quickly hide it away in embarrassment. I needed answers not smiles.

"So, Madison," I start in a calm voice. "Do you want to tell me where you really were all this time?" I ask. The desperation bubbling into my speech.

"I-I told you! I was with Sans and Papy!"Maddi protests. I can't help but let the anger form into bitter and mean words.

"Those aren't real people!" I yell. "Where have you been?" I demand.

"I told you already!" Maddi screams and she slams her fists against the table. Tears now forming in her eyes. "They are real! They're just trapped underground!" She cries.

"That's enough, Maddi!" I scream. I see the tears roll down her face. It's a terrible sight. "M-Maddi... Wait I-I'm sorry!" I try to apologize and reach out to her. She turns away from my touch and runs upstairs. All I can think to myself is: what the hell have I done?

The panic hits me instantly and my breathing stops. Horrible memories flood my mind. My breathing quickens and I grasp at my hair. Scissors. I need scissors. I needed to be free of my hair. It was a weight upon my shoulder. It was too girlish and taunting. Each strand that went longer than my ears was a sin. Somedays I feel the need to cut it. The urge is so unbearable it gives me headaches.

Emotions come and go, making my head hurt. It felt like two people were fighting for control inside my head. One tells me to run to my sister, while the other says to cut my hair. Scissors where are the scissors?! My brain throbs in pain and I can't help but allow a blood curdling scream escape my lips.

Scissors!! I almost sigh in relief at the sight of them. I didn't notice the small hand offering them to me. I quickly chop strands of hair in a mad fit until I finally feel satisfied.

"Are you better now, Rachi?" Maddi asks me in a worried voice.

"I'm just... Tired..." I manage to mumble out before I feel the world about me turn black.
