Chapter Twelve:
Sky's POV:
I sort of drifted there, unable to move or think properly. I started to think I was dead, and this was hell. Or some sort of void between worlds. I guess hell. A voice from the dark behind me startled me out of my daze.
"Sky!"
I turned, trying to peer through the darkness. I could see a figure moving around. To my surprise, the figure was walking, not floating, like I was.
"H..hello?" I said cautiously.
"Hey Sky." The voice sounded dull, and upset.
"Ian?!" I gasped.
Ian step towards me, and the darkness lifted slightly. I could see him....sort of.
"Are you in a coma too?" I asked.
He shook his head.
"Nah. I'm dead, Sky." He said, giving me a small, sympathetic smile.
"W...WHAT?!" I shouted. "HOW?"
"I was murdered, Sky." Ian said dully.
"Wait...so am I dead too?" I said, horror gripping me.
"No, you're not. I'm only here because I have a tiny bit of life energy left. If it is used up, I will vanish, and move on." Ian explained.
I floated there, staring off into the huge expanse of black. Ian suddenly moved towards me, and grabbed both of my hands.
"What are you-" I started to say.
"Shhh." Ian said, shutting his eyes. Our clasped hands started to glow with a white light.
"Ian, what are you doing?!" I gasped.
"Waking you up. I using the last of my life force to wake you up." Ian said.
"What? No, Ian! You'll die!" I protested, trying to pull away. His grip was like iron.
"Ian please!" I begged. Ian shook his head.
"I'm already dead, Adam. Listen to me. You are the only person who can find everyone." He insisted.
"What do you mean?" I asked, still struggling to break his grip.
"You are the only one who has a telepathic bond with Herobrine." He said.
"Ian, how do you know that?" I asked, trying harder than ever to break his grip.
Ian didn't answer.
"How do you know that?!" I said, pulling away from him with all of my might. I couldn't break his grip. What was going on?!
"Ian!" I gasped. My head started to spin. A thousand voices spiraled around in my head. I stopped fighting him. I looked up at him. He was still holding onto my wrists. The glow was brighter now, and I could feel my energy vanishing.
"You...you..you aren't Ian..." I gasped, falling to my knees.
Ian laughed.
His eyes were brown. Not blue...
My vision blurred, and than turned black.
Mitch's POV:
I stood up, but almost fell over again.
"Whoa!" cried Jerome, holding me still. My vision was blurred with tears. Fucking Ian. He had to sacrifice himself for me. Jerome had tears in his eyes too. He pushed me into a chair, and than ran over to Husky, who was unconscious on the ground. Jerome nudged him.
"Wake up, please." Jerome said. Husky started to stir. He sat up, clutching his head.
"Are you okay?" I asked. He nodded, but suddenly froze, a surprised look on his face. I turned.
"Whats wro-" I stopped. "Sky!" I stood up and ran over to him. He was stirring, groaning slightly.
"Sky?" I said, shaking his shoulder. Sky opened his eyes, and looked up at me.
"Hey...Mitch..." He said, his voice barely above a whisper. I grabbed his arm and helped him sit up. He immediately started to rub his head.
"Are you okay?" Jerome asked, helping Husky over. Sky nodded.
"I have a awful headache..." He said, groaning again. He lifted his head and looked around the room, as if trying to figure out where he was. He froze when he noticed Ian's body.
"Is Ian-" He said, trailing off.
Husky followed his gaze, his eyes widening.
I looked down. Jerome refused to look at either of them.
"He...he's dead. He died in the process of saving me." I said softly.
Husky and Sky stared at me silently. I refused to meet there gaze. My eyes filled with unshed tears. Jerome put a hand on my shoulder comfortingly.
"It's okay." He said softly, in an effort to calm me down. I shook my head, unable to speak. Sky watched me, his expression sad. Husky looked on the verge of tears.
Sky suddenly looked around, a confused look on his face.
"Why is it so quiet? Where is everyone?" He said, a worried tone in his voice.
Jerome looked up.
"We don't know. Me a..and Ian went to search, and we found nothing. Nobody. Than Mitch screamed, and we came running down here. There was someone who had Knocked out Husky, and stabbed Mitch. Ian started to fight him. He got severely injured in the fight. There...there was only one healing potion, a..and Ian insisted I give it to Mitch. A...and then h..he..." Jerome buried his head in his hands, trembling.
Sky patted him on the back in an attempt to comfort him. He looked up and me and Husky.
"We are going to find everyone. Then, we are going to hunt down the person who did this, and we are going to kill them. Deal?" He said, anger creeping into his voice.
Husky and Jerome nodded.
"Deal." I said.
