Chapter Sixteen:

Ty's POV:

They made Sky and I sit down, which, honestly, I didn't mind. If I could, I would have collapsed and gone to sleep ages ago. I was completely drained. Than, of course, they started drowning us in questions. I let Sky do as much of the talking as he could. He said he didn't know what happened, all he knew was that he felt incredibly sick all of a sudden. Than, I had to talk. Greaaaaaaaate.

"I just sort of appeared here, and collapsed. I felt like my insides had turned to fluid, and that I was going to vomit it all up." I explained.

It was the truth...kind of. I left out about half the story. I didn't, no couldn't, tell them what I did. Ever.

"Where were you before you appeared here? Where is everyone else?" Mitch asked.

"I was alone." I said, dodging the first part of the question.

Jerome gave me a look.

"Ty, why do you keep being vague, and dodging the question?" He asked.

Well shit. Umm...think fast.

"I honestly don't know where I was. I was dark, and I could barely see anything." I said quickly.

"And you just appeared here?" Husky asked, unconvinced.

"I think I stepped on something that triggered a control block or something." I said.

Mitch nodded, accepting this.

Phew. Crisis averted.

"Wait," I said. "Is everyone else missing or something? And why is it so quiet? And what-" I stopped at the look on their faces.

"What's wrong?" I said, lowering my voice a little.

A...a couple things happened while you were gone. One, everyone vanished. And I mean everyone. Two...." Jerome trailed off, not wanting to continue.

I looked at them. They seemed incredibly upset.

"What happened?" I said, not really wanting to know.

"Ian is dead." Sky said quietly.

"What?!" I cried, standing up. I was dizzy for a few seconds, but the feeling soon faded. "WHAT?!"

None of them would look at me.

"How?" I asked, my voice level, and emotionless.

"H-he was fighting someone. We still don't know who. He was mortally injured in the fight. He....he didn't make it." Husky explained. I glanced at all of them. When I looked at Mitch, he looked guilty. They weren't telling me everything. I got up, and left the room silently. I could feel my sadness and anger building up inside me. I wanted to hit something. Really badly. Outside, I found a tree. I started to beat the shit out of it. After a few hits, my hand glowed purple, and the tree dissolved into ashes.

Great. There goes my punching bag.

I sat down, head in hands. I'm really glad I left when I did. That tree could have been one of my friends. I started at my hand. It was glowing with purple light. I closed my fingers into a fist, and the light vanished. I opened them again, and a small ball of purple energy formed in my hand. I slammed my hand down on the ground angrily. The ball extinguished itself. Jerome walked out of the building over to me.

"Hey Ty." He said dully.

"Jerome, go away." I said, not wanting to accidentally hurt him. He stood there silently. I moved my hand behind my back, keeping the light out of sight.

"Jerome, please." I said. He finally went back into the building. I could hear muffled voices talking. I sighed, pressing my head against my knees.

"Ty, what did you do?" I mumbled to myself. "You've fucked yourself and everyone else by doing this."
