Emily Wheeler was adopted by the Wheeler family when her mother died of a robbery gone wrong while she was at school. And her father was nowhere to be found for years. Until he was arrested for killing her mother.

The wheeler parents knew her mother, so when Emily was left with no family, they adopted her.
