Lindethiel stared at Vanya in silence before attempting to speak. It came out more like a dying bird cry, and despite the situation, Vanya couldn't help laughing.

"Your sister?" Lindethiel finally asked.

Vanya nodded. "You see, we were raised together in Rivendell. Moon, my older sister, was always interested in the stars. I however was more social. We had to keep the fact that we were sisters a secret, for reasons my mother never explained."

Vanya stopped and sighed. "When she developed her plan to take over, I refused to be a part of it. I could only watch as she was sent into exile, I couldn't stand up for her. She eventually sent me a note telling me where she was."

At this moment, Moon came back from a successful hunt. They ate in silence, no one spoke a word. After a while, Moon motioned for them to get up, and they started traveling once again.

Vanya's story kept playing in Lindethiel's head. A thought suddenly occurred to her. Was I not there when Moon was exiled?

She shook it off, and for the thousandth time thought of Miriel. They had left her with one of Vanya's closest friends. who had promised to keep her secret.

Lindethiel pushed all of her thoughts away, and kept walking.
