"Where is she!"

An angry voice split the air, and its target backed against the wall.

"I-I don't know" she stammered, causing the man to become even more enraged.

"You promised to give her to me! I let you keep her, but only if you let me have her!" he yelled.

The woman said nothing until the man left, than rushed to her small room.

Hurriedly, she began throwing things in a suitcase. She knew that she must leave before the man found out what had really happened to her child...

Like a shadow, the woman moved through the halls. She made her way outside, and started silently creeping to the forest. Then, she disappeared into the night.

"Lindy? Can I come in?"

The voice of Vanya broke the silence in Lindethiel's house. "Come in" she called, and Vanya came by her.

"How is she?" Vanya asked, looking at Miriel.

"Fine, as usual" replied Lindethiel.

Miriel gave a small laugh, her blue eyes shining. Both Lindethiel and Vanya smiled.

"Did you find out anything on where she came from?" asked Vanya, and Lindethiel shook her head.

"All that matters is that she's here now"
