Chapter 1: New Motive...?

Kokichi's P.O.V.

"Ding Dong Bing Bong!" The morning alarms chimed. Sighing, I burrowed deeper into my blankets. "Rise and Shine, Ursine!" The Monokubs chanted over the monitor. "Head to the gym right away!" Reluctantly getting out of my warm bed, I headed to my bathroom to take a shit- I mean, brush my teeth and such. After I did all the necessary things, I walked out the door while tying my bandana. "Huh...I wonder what Monokuma's gonna pull today. Welp, guess I'll hafta find out!" Opening the doors to the gym, I saw a few people had yet to arrive. The people that WERE there consisted of Kirumi, Korekiyo, Shuichi, Tsumugi, Kiibo, Gonta, and, as of now, me. Kirumi nodded in my direction, but nobody else really paid attention. Slowly but surely, every other student that remained alive entered the gym. "Well? What do you want this time, Monokuma?" Kaito shouted as Monokuma himself popped out of nowhere. "Upupupupupu. I've decided it's time for ANOTHER motive!"

"Really?"

"Seriously?!?"

"Go to fuckin' hell, you damn build-a-bear!"

Shouts reigned throughout the gym as everyone protested. "Now, now, pay attention!" Monokuma snapped impatiently. "For the motive, I have prepared a VERY special...thingy!" I raised an eyebrow at that. How does Monokuma not even know what to call his own invention? "Well? What is it?" I called out from near the doors.

"Relax, kiddo! Gimme a sec! So, this-" Monokuma waved something resembling a gun in the air "-is the new motive!" Everyone stared at it in confusion. "Now, it's not just ANY gun! It gives one person, who will be chosen by majority vote, their memories back! Whether the change will be good or bad is unknown until it's decided!"

"Wait, HOW is this a motive?" Shuichi asked, his brow furrowed.

"Meh, I dunno. I guess it depends on who gets their memories back!"

I wonder who would be the most changed...I wonder how Kiibo would be? Nah, he'd probably just act like a robot, as always. I did the mental math until I came up with a suitable answer: Kaito.

"Time's up! Time to cast your votes, and by that I mean say aloud who you want o be changed!"

"Kokichi."

"Kokichi."

"CHOOSE THE GRAPE SHOTA-!"

"Kokichi, maybe."

Everyone answered one variation or another of 'Kokichi'. "Gee, thanks. Your confidence in me is astounding."

"Rules are rules, kid. Get up here!"

I casually walked over to Monokuma and waited for a (hopefully painless) change to my mind. I steadied my breathing and everything slowly went black.
