usually update during the day... feels weird posting at night

Friday night, nine o'clock pm, and Jeon Jungkook was messily smudging on eyeliner in a bar bathroom.

There was still around a half hour until they were slotted to play on stage at the bar he stood in, and he was using his spare time to do makeup he didn't have time to at home. It wasn't often that he wore eyeliner for live shows, as he knew that he was just going to end up sweating it off anyway.

For some reason though, tonight he wanted to put the effort in.

Jungkook looked at himself in the mirror, tucking his eyeliner pencil into the pocket of his black denim jacket. Under the harsh white lights of the bathroom his hair boasted an electric blue tone, and he ran his hands through the strands to smooth down some of the frizz.

He knew deep down, that there was a reason he was actually putting effort into his appearance for this show. Jungkook didn't just want to take anybody home from the crowd tonight, he wanted one specific person if he could.

But would Jimin even show face?

Jungkook fiddled with his eyebrow piercing in the mirror, making sure that it was sitting properly as he let out a soft sigh. He hoped that Jimin would be here tonight. He has been in the bar with the rest of his bandmates for over an hour setting up their equipment and ordering drinks here and there, but he hadn't caught a glimpse of Jimin once.

Fashionably late, maybe? The raven haired male definitely seemed to like giving him a hard time.

What did he even want with Jimin? Jungkook really wasn't sure, but the raven haired male was captivating. He was just so pretty. From his head to his toes, from his voice to his mannerisms. But he was also so bratty, and loved being hard to acquire.
Sweet and sour, Jungkook wanted to sink his teeth in.

Jungkook leaned back away from the mirror, smoothing his hands against the black fabric of the T-shirt he was wearing under his jacket. It was ripped in various places, allowing for his tattoos to peek out of the holes.

If Jimin didn't show up tonight, should he take that as a finale answer? God he hoped that he was going to.

Jungkook reached up, smudging away some of the eyeliner underneath his eyes. He then shook his arms out, and breathed out a deep exhale - trying to eliminate any lingering jitters. Stage fright was something he had issues with when the band first got together, but as time went on and support grew he slowly got more and more used to having an audience.

Now that Jimin might be in the audience though, he suddenly found himself feeling a diluted version of the anxiety he used to.

He took one last look in the mirror before opening the door of the bathroom, walking back out into the bar atmosphere. The air was hazy and humid, and the sound of laughter and music was mixed and muddled. Jungkook slowly made his way through the crowd, returning a few smiles and lingering glances as he walked to the bar.

"Could I just grab a bottle of soju?" He asked the bartender, taking a seat on one of the stools and checking his watch. Still nearly ten minutes until his bandmates would need him.

Why did he feel so disheartened about starting the show without Jimin there to see it?

The bartender slid a cold bottle of soju over to Jungkook, and the blue haired was quickly grasping it in his hand and taking a few swigs. He had already had drink earlier with Namjoon, but he wanted just a little extra to ease the nerves before he got on stage.

He scanned the crowd, gaze lingering on all of the people in the building. Jungkook watched as a black haired male tucked a strand of hair behind a girl's ear, and the look in her eyes after was one with a message. He watched a variety of people dance alone, their eyes waiting to meet someone else's gaze. What he didn't see though, was Jimin.

"You waiting for someone?"

The voice that graced Jungkook's ears was so sweet, so distinct that he could hear it clearly over all of the other noises in the bar. Jungkook turned his head slowly, sinking his teeth into his bottom lip as he laid his eyes upon none other than Jimin.

"Not anymore." Jungkook breathed out, raking his eyes across the short male's form. Tight black jeans hugged his thighs, and the white t-shirt he wore was loose and draped across the curves of his body perfectly. "Your other plans fall through?"

Jimin smiled bashfully, tucking a few strands of hair behind his ear.

"You could say that." He smiled softly, taking a seat at barstool beside Jungkook's. "I wanted to see you play, so I came."

Jungkook gulped, feeling a bubble of warmth in his chest at Jimin's words. The raven haired male was looking at him in a certain way too. Like he had decided upon something before walking in
here.

"Is that all you came here for?" Jungkook's eyes met Jimin's and he watched as the other male curled his fingers around the hem of his shirt gently. "Was hoping you might stick around for a little while after the show."

Jimin raised an eyebrow, and he propped his his head up on the elbow he was resting on the bar.

"Why would I do that? You have something planned?" He asked, his eyes following Jungkook's hand as the blue haired male brought his bottle of soju up to his lips. His piercing clinked against the glass bottle, and his skin glistened under the bar lights as he gulped down the drink.

"No, I don't usually plan things out." Jungkook answered, setting his bottle back on the counter. "But I don't want you to disappear into the crowd afterwards, I can't just keep having you in snippets."

Jimin cocked his head to the side slightly, furrowing his eyebrows together.

"What do you mean by that?" He asked, sitting up straighter in his seat.

"My last gig, meeting you at the sign up, and now." Jungkook replied, glancing down at his watch and sighing as he realized he should be walking over to the stage right about now. "I get a few moments with you at a time, when what I really want is to have you for the whole night."

He took one last swig of his soju, before sliding the bottle over for Jimin to finish. "So, I do have to get going now, but I hope this isn't the last I time I talk to you tonight."

Jimin took hold of the soju bottle, sinking his teeth into his bottom lip and looking to the side for a moment.

"I guess that depends how good of a show you put on." He answered softly, meeting Jungkook's gaze with a look that had the taller male gulping. Jungkook stood up and brushed off his pants, before leaning down to whisper soft words against Jimin's ear.

"I never put on a bad show."
