another nighttime update! and it's two days in a row! love u all <33

It had been awhile since Jimin attended a gig.

He watched a lot of bands play at his work, but he didn't count those because it wasn't intentional. They just so happened to play at Jimin's work, giving him a free show as he worked.

This was different. He wasn't working, he had been specifically invited, and he had actually bought a ticket. (Sure, it only cost him ten dollars, but it was the idea of it.) He also didn't have any of his band members with him. Though Taehyung had offered to come with him to give some moral support, Jimin had decided that it would be best if he showed up alone.

This was the smart decision, given how flirty Jungkook was being towards him, but he just couldn't shake the anxiety he was feeling because of it.

He hardly knew Jungkook, and he didn't know any of his band members. None of the other faces in the bar looked familiar either, and so Jimin was truly on his own in a crowd full of strangers. Was it worth it? All of this nervousness just for an attractive man's attention?

Jimin watched from the bar as Jungkook settled himself behind his drum set, taking a swig of the drink that the younger male had given him. He hadn't moved since Jungkook left, just silently watching as the band set up and did mic checks. He found himself sort of wishing that Taehyung had come, forgetting just how awkward it felt to be at a bar alone.

Jimin observed as Jungkook performed a small drumroll, warming himself up for the show as the other members of his band did the same. The jean jacket he had been wearing was long gone, and Jimin knew that the ripped T-shirt he was wearing would be soon to follow.

Jimin felt so shameless around Jungkook. He didn't mind letting his gaze linger, because he knew that the younger male wouldn't mind. If anything, Jungkook seemed to love it every time he caught Jimin staring, his lips always twitching up into a sly smile.

"How's it going tonight?" Jimin's attention perked up once the lead singer of Jungkook's band spoke into the microphone, tapping it a few times beforehand to make sure it was on. "We're a little band called 'After Dusk'. If you come here often, you probably already know who we are." He winked cheekily, eliciting a few cheers and whistles from the crowd that has formed around the stage.

Jimin watched as the lead singer beamed at the praise, pushing his chestnut brown hair off his forehead and smiling. The lead singer looked back to Jungkook, and Jimin watched as Jungkook nodded once and spun his drumsticks between his fingers.

"This is a song called 'When the sun goes down'" The lead singer introduced their first song, beginning to strum a chord on his cream coloured guitar. "Give it a listen."

He strummed soft chords against the strings of his guitar, swinging sweet vocals into the microphone into the microphone in front of him. Isolated, only his voice and his guitar as his other band members waited for their cue, the notes his sang floated through the bar atmosphere so smoothly.

Jimin was sliding off of his barstool without even realizing it, his body seeming to move on its own as he slowly gravitated towards the stage.

Soju cold in his hand, his attention snapped to Jungkook as the blue haired male hit his drumsticks together, his foot creating a steady beat with his kick drum as the beat of the song kicked in. His eyes were locked on a Jimin, somehow honing in on him throughout all of the other faces in the crowd, and he grinned.

Jimin slid through all of the dancing bodies crowded around the stage, keeping Jungkook's gaze on him the entire time as he slowly moved his way to the front of the huddle. The blue haired male had a glint in his eyes that had Jimin's stomach twisting, his heart beating quicker and quicker at the idea of being the centre of attention for someone like him.

He was just so.., breathtaking. His arms swinging and crashing his drumsticks against his cymbals, as he banged his head to the beat of the song. The electric blue strands of hair atop of head flailed from his movements, beginning to slowly frizz up from the body heat he was beginning to generate.

Jungkook was made to be on stage. Even seated farthest away from the crowd, he was still making himself the centre of attention - well, at least to Jimin. Even if Jungkook hadn't been keeping his gaze trained on Jimin since he had spotted him, Jimin wouldn't have been able to stop looking at him.

He pushed past the last few drunk patrons, finally finding himself closet to the stage and staring up at the band performing in front of him. Jimin had forgotten how invigorating it was to actually attend a show. The atmosphere, the crowd, the live music, it all just fizzled through his veins and made a grin spread across his face.

He took a swig of his drink, locking eyes with Jungkook once more. The blue haired male licked his lips, and once there was a pause in the song, he quickly stripped his already sweaty T-shirt off of his body. Jimin was nearly drooling, and the wink that Jungkook sent him from the stage just made it even worse. All of this eye contact and attention, it was if Jungkook was trying to make him lose his mind.

The first song came to an end, and Jimin cheered along with the rest of the audience. He was smiling from ear to ear, feeling so energized from the aura that the band was giving off.

The rest of the gig went much the same, Jungkook flirting as well as he could from a far distance, and Jimin cheering him on with a pink tinted face. They played five songs, all of which Jimin knew would be stuck in his brain for the next week or two.

Jimin now found himself standing next to the back door of the club, leaning against the wall as his chest still heaved gently from dancing. He hoped to find Jungkook here, knowing that the younger male would probably be trying to sneak off for a smoke break after the show.

He knew that Jungkook wanted to see him, and after the performance he had just put on, Jimin definitely wanted to see him too.

Maybe it was the alcohol, maybe it was the boost of confidence from Jungkook's shameless flirting, but whatever anxiety he had before had left completely. Whatever Jungkook wanted to do tonight, he wanted to as well.

"Waiting for me, cutie? How sweet." Jungkook's voice, like music to Jimin's ears, turned his attention away from where it had been rested on blankly on a wall. Jungkook was walking towards him, using a towel to dry of the sweaty strands of hair atop his head. His black T-shirt stuck to his glistening skin, his tattoos peeking through the rips in the fabric.

"You put on a good show." Jimin answered softly, trying not to be so obvious as he raked his gaze across Jungkook's form. "And you said you wanted to see me after."

Jungkook raised an eyebrow, and it didn't go unnoticed by Jimin when the younger male's gaze flickered to his lips for just a moment.

"Well you like giving me a hard time." He answered lowly, running a hand through his hair and pushing the strands off of his forehead. "I was expecting to have to play hide and seek to find you after the show."

Jimin couldn't help but chuckle at that, shrugging and nodding.

"You've got me there." He answered, meeting Jungkook's gaze. Eye contact with him was never something simple. Jungkook always made it so intense, like he was trying to pick Jimin apart with his gaze (or maybe undress him).

Jungkook was the first the break it, tugging at his bottom lip lightly as he looked to the side with a smirk. Jimin watched as he absentmindedly patted around his pockets, and he raised his eyebrows knowingly .

"You going out for a smoke now?" He asked, making Jungkook's gaze snap to him once more. He smiled cheekily and nodded, pulling a carton of cigarettes out of his pocket and shaking it.

"That I am." He smiled, opening up the carton and pulling one out. "You coming? Or waiting here? I know you don't like it." He said that, and yet had the most shit-eating grin on his face as he placed the unlit cigarette between his teeth. It seemed to be amusing to him, that there would always be this one little thing about him that Jimin wouldn't like.

"I'll come." Jimin answered, having to tear his gaze away from Jungkook's lips. "Just don't blow the smoke on me."

Jungkook smile morphed into a smirk, and he raised an eyebrow.

"Why? Don't you know what it means when someone does that?" He asked, and his eyes swam with a look of mischief mixed with... could it be lust?

"No." Jimin answered, brushing a few pieces of hair out of his face and looking to the side. He could feel his cheeks heating up, too overwhelmed by the way Jungkook was looking at him. "What does it mean?"

And Jungkook chuckled, spinning his cigarette between his fingers and dropping his gaze to the ground.

"You'll find out."
