An before the chapter starts: this story is loosely based on flowers from 1970 but it's not the same so if you see similarities that's why :) 

"My names Karl, nice to meet you" He said smirking and playing with the small gear once more. George laughed quietly in disbelief. A million thoughts slipped into his mind. How did he know his name? Why did he have that book. Why did he word his previous words so weird? And most importantly HOW DID HE COME THROUGH A PORTAL? 

George hadn't moved he just stood there his mind  going a million miles a minute. "Listen George I know this is confusing, and you're probably freaking out. You'll learn how all of this came to be soon, for now I need you to let me talk you through something" he said swiftly trying to comfort George. He started towards the stairs that led up to George on the porch. George turned to open the door and tell everyone but he heard a snarky voice behind him "George you can't fight this, you try that every time and it never works, it's funny how time works right?" He asked George's turned back around with a glare on his  face "everything happens for a reason Georgie, including me being here" he said now standing in front of George. 

They stood there a minute. Looking around in silence. The  George finally looked him in the eyes and spoke "how can I trust you?" Karl pulled out his book he had scribbled in earlier and held it up "a friend gave me this, to record everything that happens every time this course of vented happens, he has me record in just in case anything changed but it never does, and that's the way it should be. If the timeline changes it can cause catastrophic events, maybe even the end. That's why I'm here George, to make sure everything goes according to plan" Karl said with a half hearted smile "who is this person?" George asked "well obviously I can't tell you that" Karl said "well why not" George said angrily, he wasn't eager to know everything, but he knew he couldn't. "That's the point of me being here George, if they've whatever you to know they would've been doing it themselves, and I'm not supposed to tell you" Karl said smiling a dorky smile. "Ok you said for everything to go according to plan. What plan? What's gonna happen" George asked confused "you know I'm getting tired of these same annoying questions every time I do this, it doesn't get any easier" he said smiling 

"Now hurry and go back in there and meet me after the party is over I'll be waiting" he said "waiting where?" George said "later George!" He called running down the stairs, gear still in hand "how will I find you?" George asked "I'll find you don't worry" he replied not reining around. 

He took the gear in his hand and threw it in the air causing a shining blue rift to open and he stepped inside and disappeared. Everything was quiet  after the swirling sound of the vortex was gone. George stood there still amazed it happened 

How in the hell was this possible.
