Chapter 7:

The eye of a revengeful soul

[P.O.V] Benjamin de Guzman (Benjie)

[ATM] Classroom

Time check 9 A.M in the morning (Monday)

"Hey, Gun, did you know that Kai told me last Friday that If I made him fall in love with me in three months, he will allow me to be his boyfriend!"  (I told to Gun as I pat his shoulder with a smile on my face.)

"Hmm... I think you should thank Jelai because she did everything to carry out all the plans." (Gun told me as he focused himself listing the essential things he will buy at the grocery store.)

"Huh? Wait! plan? what are you talking about? and who's the fuck is Jelai?" (I suddenly asked Gun as I feel confused.)

When Gun heard my question, he suddenly gives me a serious look as he said: "Seriously, Benjie? She's the girl who's always with Kaito and moreover, she's our homeroom class president who carries out Kevin's plan to put you and Kaito at the same study desk."

"Oh... really? but where she is now? I want to see her and thank her personally." (I asked KGun with a smile on my face.)

"Well, at this moment, I think Jelai is taking her training as a taekwondo athlete in our university gym because she's one of the working scholars as an athlete on taekwondo club, that girl is extremely hardworking." (Gun told me as he focused himself listing the essential things he will buy at the grocery store.)

"All right, then, I'm going to see her." (I told Gun as I quickly stood up on my hair.)

But after I went out to our classroom to meet our class president (Jelai), Gun suddenly notice strangely.

"Benjie, where's Kaito?" (Gun suddenly asks me.)

"Well, currently, Kai prefers to study in the library for an unknown reason but after I talk to our class president, I'll go to the library to see my future boyfriend hahaha." (I told Gun with a smile on my face.)

[P.O.V] Gun Sivilya 

After Benjie went to the university gym to talk to Jelai, I thought to give myself a fresh by opening our classroom window but unexpectedly as I opened our classroom window, I coincidentally saw Dianne talking to some random people who have passed by her as If she asking something and as I suspiciously looked at here form our classroom window, I suddenly felt something was wrong so I thought to talk to Kevin because I want him to do something but he wasn't in our classroom at these times so I thought of calling him using my phone.

[Phone call]

"Hey, Kevin, where are you?" (I speak to Kevin on the phone.)

"What's the matter, dude? I'm taking my breakfast in the cafeteria, okay." (Kevin told me on the phone call as he ate his breakfast at the cafeteria.)

"This isn't time to eat your breakfast, okay, because right now, I want you to watch Kaito at the library! (I told Kevin on the phone.)

"Huh? why?" (Kevin spoke to me on the phone as he still eating his breakfast at the cafeteria.)

"Have you forgotten you told me the other day that you were ready to protect Benjie and Kaito's relationship?... and also, I have a bad feeling that Dianne is making her move now."  (I told Kevin with seriousness.)

"Yeah, I made that promise but can't you see I'm in the middle of having breakfast? so can you please watch Kaito at the library for me? please!" (Kevin ask a favor from me on the phone call.)

"Well, there's something I must do before our next class will start (Pretending to be busy) ha~ha~ha (Awkward laugh)" (I told Kevin on the phone as I wiped the glass window in our classroom using the rag I saw near our window.)

"Wait, how about Benjie and Jelai?" (Kevin ask me on the phone.)

"Benjie and Jelai have an important conversation at the university gym at this moment, so give them some time to talked each other that's the reason why I want you to carry out the task to watch Kaito for a while and moreover, you may have forgotten that I paid your debt to Dianne so, in order for you to repay the debt you owe me, I have to follow my favor with you to watch over Kaito." (I spoke to Kevin on the phone call.)

"(Sigh) Okay, geez! I'm now heading towards the library to watch Kaito?" (Kevin told me as his voice sounded forcible.)

"Okay, thanks." (I told Gun.)

[End call]

[P.O.V] Benjamin de Guzman (Benjie)

After I found out from my friend Gun about Kevin's plan, I decide to meet our class president named Jelai by myself to thank her personally to carry out Kevin's plan and after seven minutes of walking towards the university gym, I finally arrived at the university gym but as I watched other taekwondo students train themself, I realized I didn't ask Gun what our class president named Jelai looked like so I thought to pretend to know her as I yell her name: "Jelai, where are you?"

When I strangely call our class president's name, all the taekwondo students at the gym suddenly startled at me as they keep their distance from me.

"Geez, what he doing here? why is he looking for Jelai?" (the guy with a red belt whispery told the guy next to him.)

As the taekwondo students are still wondering why I was here at the university gym... there's a girl with a ponytail hairstyle who suddenly approaches me.

"Yes, Benjie? why are looking for me?" (A girl with a ponytail suddenly asks me as her face is so sweaty.)

"Oh, I see... she's our classroom president named Jelai" (I spoke myself in my mind.)

"Can we talk?" (I asked Jelai with a smile on my lips.)

"Hmmm...Okay, just wait for me here, I'll just change my clothes and wipe my sweat first." (Jelai told me as she immediately walk towards her backpack.)

After two minutes.

"What are we going to talk about?" (Jelai asked me as she looks at me.)

"Thank you for helping me with Kai." (I told Jelai as I avoid her eyes.)

When Jelai heard what I said to her, she suddenly gives me a slight laugh as she quickly looks at me.

"Wait! Are you here just to say thank you for what I did yesterday?" (Jelai told me with a smile on her lips.)

"Well, Yeah, I'm just here to say thank you but I'm still clueless, what did you do to Kai to convince him to give me a chance to make him feel that I really feel for him?" (I asked Jelai as I scratched my head and sit next to her.)

"I'm just told him what I witness from you a year ago." (Jelai told me with a smile on her lips.)

"A year ago? about what?" (I asked as I was completely clueless.)

"Did you still remember the words that you always say to the girl named Irene Amores?" (Jelai asks Benjie.)

"Sorry but sometimes I utter words without using the brain but I still remember that psycho girl who always want me to love her back." (I told Jelai.)

"Yeah... she had a huge crush on you and she always confesses her feeling towards you that's why, you always told her that no one can beat and steal the love you felt for your childhood friend, and that time, when I heard those words coming from the stupid bully like you, I suddenly realize the person you  always referring to was Kaito, not Dianne." (Jelai told me.)

"Oh... I see I remembered it now but I really can't explain why I love Kai." (I told Jelai as I scratched my head.)

At that moment, Jelai suddenly looks at me and she gives me a slight smile as she pats my shoulder.

"Well, we don't need to understand everything though because our feelings aren't a science, it's an art." (Jelai told me with a smile on her lips.)

At that moment, I suddenly smile because of what Jelai said to me.

Currently, I am so happy with what I feel for Kai, I can't even explain why I love Kai but all I know is that Kai is important to me that can't replace anything.

As Jelai and I were continuously talking about how Kaito cute is when he was still a kid... my friend Kevin suddenly came here to the university gym.

"Hey... Benjie! Where are you still here!? Please answer me I'm begging you!" (Kevin yell as he keeps looking at me within the university gym.)

"Hey, What's the problem with you? Why are you looking for me?"  (I asked Kevin.)





When Kevin saw me with Jelai, he quickly approaches me.

"Well, after you left our classroom to come here, Gun suddenly contact me to ask a favor to watch Kaito in the library but when I got there, I immediately saw Dianne heading towards Kaito I don't know what she going to do but I have a bad feeling that she---". (Kevin stuttering told me as he took gasps with a sweaty face.)

When I heard what Kevin told me, without hesitation, I suddenly ran into the library.

"Tsk!... That stupid witch! I am going to kill her If he tries to seduce Kai!" (I say as I felt annoyed by Dianne.) 

When I ran towards the library to stop Dianne's plan... Kevin and Jelai immediately follow me to the library.

[P.O.V] Kaito Almasen (Kai)

[ATM at University library]

[5 minutes before Kevin meet Benjie at the university gym]

As I peacefully read and write some study notes here in the university library for the upcoming prelim examination, I suddenly remembered Benjie's annoying smile at me this morning.

That freaking jerk (Benjie) always stared at me as he tries to seduce me with his charming smile, and because of that, I can't concentrate on my studies for the upcoming prelim exam.

I don't want to see him staring at me just like a perverted person that's why I was forced to go here in the university library just to avoid him for a while but as I annoyingly thinking about Benjie's action this morning, there was a beautiful woman coming into the library and when she entered, all the library suddenly hooks their eye to that girl but as she entered the library, she suddenly acts so strange as if she looks for something but she becomes calmly with a confidant on her eyes when she saw me inside the library and after a few seconds, she hurried to sit next to me.

"Are you Kaito, right? it's been a while." (The beautiful girl suddenly spoke to me with a smile on her face as she held her phone to me.)

At that moment, I was suddenly confused about who she is soI thought to ask her"Sorry miss, Did I know you?"

At that moment, the beautiful girl was suddenly shocked and laughing at me.

"Oh my god, Kaito, seriously? you don't remember me?" (The beautiful girl asked me with a smile on her face.)

"That the reason why I'm asking you because I don't remember." (I ask the beautiful girl as I focus myself writing my study notes .)

"Oh... I see it's been nine years since last we meet each other so I'll introduce myself to you again... I'm Dianne Mendoza, I'm one of your classmates in grade school." (Dianne told me with a smile on her lips.)

At that time, when I heard her name, it suddenly caught my attention as I suddenly ask myself.

"Don't tell me she's Benjie's ex-girlfrie---- (My mind.)

But when I slowly figure out that this girl I meet right now was Benjie's ex-girlfriend, out of the blue, Benjie suddenly came inside the library "Hey witch! What are you planning to do with Kai?!"

As Benjie angrily asks Dianne, he suddenly looks at me with his worried face... At that moment, I can really see that Benjie is worried about me as I looked at his teary eyes.

After a second, Benjie suddenly walked closely to Dianne and confronts her with his fierce face. 

When because of what Dianne said to Benjie... Benjie suddenly pissed off with her and as the both of them argued because of me, all the students who studying inside the university library were suddenly startled as they starts to gossip about us.

"Seriously? the two elite students in our university fighting because of him (Kaito)?" (Student 1 (Boy)

"So the humor was true that Benjie likes the transfer student (Kaito)." (Student 2 (Girl)

"Wait for a second! Is that the guy who filed a student petition against Benjie half a month ago?" (Student 3 (Boy)

"Yeah, you're right dude, he's the guy! but I'm still confused why Dianne tries making a mess right now." (Student 4 (Boy)

Because of the gossip, I heard from the other students here in the library, I thought of keeping them away from each other but I was suddenly confused as to who I would pull away from the two of them but after a few seconds, I choose to grab Benjie's hand to take him away from the mess he made within the library.

At that time, when I suddenly grab Benjie's hand to take him out. I suddenly feel something within me, its hard to explain but it feels like there's something that starts to bloom one petal of a flower.

Eight minutes passed, Benjie and I were able to return to our classroom but as Benjie standing near the window in our classroom, I could see on his face that he was still annoyed because of what happened earlier at the university library.

As I'm staring at Benjie as I feel concerned about him, Gun suddenly talks to me as he sitting next to me but from a different row: "So my prediction was right that Dianne is making her move to take you away from Benjie."

"Why did she do that?" (I suddenly ask Gun.)

"Because your the main reason why the two of them broke up." (Kevin told me as he sitting next to Jelai.)

"But I have nothing to do with them both." (I frankly told Kevin.)

"For you, you have nothing to do with them but for Benjie, you are the root cause of why Dianne became Benjie's girlfriend in the first place." (Jelai told me as she sat in her chair in front of me.)

"What do you mean I'm the root of their relationship?" (I ask Jelai as I'm so clueless.)

"Benjie just agreed to be Dianne's boyfriend so that Benjie would forget about you when you were in America." (Kevin told me.)

"But it's still not right for him to use other people just to forget someone like me." (I spoke as I looked at Benjie standing near the window in our classroom as he staring nowhere.)

"You can say that  because you don't understand the pain he feels while he waiting for him to come home here in the Philippines, and it hurts, even more, when Benjie tries to love Dianne even though you're the person his heart always prays for, and if I were in Benjie's position, I would do what he did just to forget you more." (Gun told me as he looked at his phone.)

After I heard what Gun say to me, I'm suddenly felt speechless as I felt guilty within my heart, and because of that, I suddenly felt what Gun trying to say to me.

"But now what we need to focus on is what Benjie is doing now, his aura is so dark because he still thinks about what happened earlier in the library, so guys, is there's any way for us to stop him being overthinking? because if it continues like this, our classmates might be scared of him." (Jelai told us as she feel concerned about Benjie.)

As Jelai asked us about how to rid Benjie of being overthinking about what happened earlier. Kevin suddenly stood up from his chair as he laughed so creepy: "Hehehe, I have an idea!"

After Kevin told us that he has a plan to stop Benjie from being overthinking, he quickly approach Benjie to say something.

As Kevin talks to Benjie, Gun suddenly spoke from his chair as he cover his head: "Geez, I have a bad feeling about this."

"What do you mean?" (I suddenly ask Gun.)

As I waited for Gun to answer my question, Benjie suddenly cried out in joy because of what Kevin had told him.

"Really, Kaito told you that!?" (Benjie suddenly cried out in joy with a huge smile on his face.)

At that moment, when I heard Benjie mentioning my name, I suddenly felt goosebumps but as I looked at him with a huge smile on his face, he immediately came out to our classroom to go somewhere and after Benjie came out in our classroom, Kevin suddenly go back from his chair as if nothing happened.

"Hey, Kevin, what did you tell Benjie about me?! and where the hell is Benjie going?" (I immediately ask him as I quickly turn around at him.)

"Benjie went to our university bookstore to buy a book he can use to study because I told him that if he passes all the subjects in the upcoming prelim examination you will allow him to date you after our prelim examination ends." ( Kevin told me as he gives me a creepy smirk.)

When because of what I heard from Kevin, I got up from my seat and said: "Why did you say that to Benjie?!" Why did you tell him that if he could pass all the subjects in the upcoming prelim exam, I will agree to date him!"

"I think Kevin's plan was an effective way for Benjie to take care of his grades in the upcoming prelim examination." (Jelai spoke.)

"And also, don't worry, Kaito, because I have a strong feeling that Benjie doesn't have a chance to pass all the subjects in the upcoming prelim examination... I just told him that you will allow him to date him so that he can break his mind to study, besides, you are Benjie's study buddy and as his study buddy, you have a responsibility to help him raise his grades in the coming prelim examination." (Kevin told me as he pats my shoulder to make me calm.)

"But guys, you don't understand me!.. Don't you know that Benjie was an honor student when we were still in grade school so I have a strong feeling that he will pass all the subjects in the upcoming prelim exam!" (I told Kevin and Jelai as I start to freak out.)

At that moment, after all my friends heard that Benjie was a former honor student, they were suddenly startled. 

"WHAT! Benjie is an honor student back in grade school?" (Jelai, Gun, and Kevin.)

[P.O.V] Joseph Sebastian

[After the incident happened inside the library]

It feels great that our university library gives me knowledge that boosts my confidence to fight the legendary beast (Benjie) 

"So he was the person who previously filed the student petition against Benjamin?" (I spoke in my mind when I found the complainant of Benjie's previous student petition in the library an hour ago.)

"How would Benjamin feel if the person he loved was the cause of his downfall." (Joseph.)
