Third person's POV

He was thinking of some way to know about her health and if she was pregnant... When Vihan came that way and saw him.

" Hey, what are you doing here? " Vihan asked him bluntly.

" It is none of your business... " Shaurya said.

" You are standing here, and this is my business. " Vihan said.

" It is a hospital, not your home, anyone can come here. "

" Anyone can but not you after what you did to Gauravi." He said glaring at Shaurya.

" How is she? I just got to know that she was admitted here, what happened? " Shaurya asked.

" That's none of your business. Stay away from her or I will... " He was saying but Shaurya asked another question.

" Why are you behaving like this as if I am asking about your girlfriend?? " He asked.

" Shut up!! "

" Oh, come on, I know about you... You are just like me... But are you interested in her as well?? " Shaurya asked glaring at him.

" Not another word or... " Vihan was yelling at him by now and just then they were interrupted by another voice.

" Vihan, what's wrong with you? I can hear your voice." Shaurya turned to see that Mihir was coming to them. The moment Mihir realized that Shaurya was there, his face turned hard and he rushed to him.

" What are you doing here?? " He also lost his temper seeing him there.

"I need to talk to Gauravi for a minute. " Shaurya replied.

" No way! Get lost. " He said in a very firm voice.

" Mihir, I don't want to create any scene here, I just came to know that she is hospitalized. How is she now? What happened to her? " Shaurya asked.

" How does that matter to you? You have no right to ask about my fiancee." Mihir replied.

" Ex-fiance! As far as I know, she refused to get married to you. " Shaurya said.

" You don't know anything, that is stale news, She is still his fiance and they are getting married as soon as she gets discharged from here. " Vihan said looking into Shaurya's eyes and smirking.

" You are lying! She said that she is in love with... " Shaurya stopped as he didn't know what to say.

" No!! She is not in love with you anymore, even if she had that misunderstanding it is cleared now. You will get the invitation since our parents are friends, but I would appreciate it if you didn't come to the wedding." Mihir said glaring at Shaurya.

" Can I talk to her for a minute? I just want to know if she is alright?" He asked again as he needed to tell her that it was Shlok she had met on the trip.

" Thanks for your fake concern, but it is not needed. We all are here to take care of her. Leave before I call Siddh or the security?" Vihan yelled. Shaurya had no alternative but to leave. He didn't want to create a scene when he didn't even know about the extent of the relationship between his twin and Gauravi.

He came out of the hospital feeling frustrated as he could not get to know anything. So he went to the office as both he and Shlok had been out of the city for a very long time.

He was even more confused now after he got to know that she was getting married to Mihir. Was she involved with Shlok?

Was she pregnant with his twin's baby?

Did she get the child aborted or had a miscarriage after the accident?

Why was she getting married to Mihir if she loved Shlok?

At Malhotras' office...

Damini and Sagar were feeling very uncomfortable with what had happened on the last day.

So Damini decided to talk to Maurvi as she was quite level-headed and mature enough to understand all that.

She looked for Maurvi's number and called her, after about 7-8 rings, Maurvi finally picked up the call and said, "Hello!"

" Hey, Maurvi, how are you? " Damini asked.

" I am fine, thank you," she replied, Damini felt as if her reply was very formal.

" Er... Maurvi, we are extremely sorry about what happened yesterday... I am sure there was some misunderstanding... " Damini started saying but Maurvi stopped her.

" Let's not talk about that, Damini. Leave it." She said and just then a nurse came in to attend Gauravi and asked her how she was feeling and if she had any pain or anything.

Gauravi replied to her saying that she was okay but obviously had a lot of pain in her body.

Damini heard that and she got tensed.

" Is that Gauravi? What happened? " She asked immediately.

Just then Shaurya entered his mom's office and saw that she was busy on the phone so he waited there.

Maurvi told her that she slipped down the stairs in the hospital. Damini was shocked to hear that.

" Oh, my God !! I am so sorry to know that... How is she feeling now? " Damini asked and Shaurya looked at his mom. He understood immediately that she was talking to Gauravi's mom.

" She is out of danger now. " She replied.

" That's good... Er... How is...the baby?" Damini asked hesitantly.

" Everything is fine... " Maurvi replied and Damini took a deep breath and closed her eyes out of relief.

" Maurvi, I don't know what to say, but we all need to talk and find a........"

" Damini, I understand what you have been going through since yesterday, but please stop feeling guilty about it. We already have the solution, as soon as she is fine, she will get married to Mihir. " Maurvi said.

" What? She is getting married to... Mihir? But... " Damini was shocked to hear that and asked but Maurvi stopped her.

" Damini, please listen, I would really appreciate it if we don't talk about this matter now. I hope you understand. " Maurvi said but Damini felt very bad hearing her say that, though she could understand what she was saying.

But what if Gauravi was not lying about everything??

" No, please! We came to talk to you as soon as we got to know the truth, and I know that you tried your level best and welcomed her with open arms, but you know what happened... We don't want to force Shaurya to tie himself in a relationship, our daughter is not a burden for us and we can take care of her and the baby with us forever. But since Mihir wants to have her in his life with the baby, we are happy about it. For I request you, for god's sake don't talk about it now. You are a woman and understand that these matters are very delicate. " Maurvi said.

" Yeah, I understand all that and I am sorry. Both Sagar and I could not sleep last night...."

" Hmmm, I can imagine, but it is okay, I just want a favor from you, just leave this topic forever, forget that we ever came to talk about it. Bye, I need to attend to her. " Maurvi said.

Yeah, okay... take care of her and...the baby. " Damini said and replaced the phone.

She got very upset, almost on the verge of crying.

" Mom? What happened? " Shaurya asked.

" Gauravi is admitted to hospital, she was going towards the staircase and some patient, who might be in a hurry, bumped into her and she fell off the stairs. She is out of danger, and the baby is fine as of now but anything can happen. She has to be on bed rest. " She said and a few tears rolled her eyes.

" Mom... Please don't cry."

" If what she said that day was correct, your dad and I would never be able to forgive you. Our friendship of about 45 years is spoilt. You care for your friends and think of yourself in our condition. I am feeling disgusted, tell me, did you lie to us when you said that you were not in a relationship with her? Tell me the truth, as I don't see any reason for her to lie." Damini said.

" Mom, I was not lying, and trust me, I will find out the truth. " Shaurya said with his head bent and went out as he could not tell anything to his parents till he was sure that she was pregnant with Shlok's baby.
