Gauravi's POV

He picked me up bodily and carried me back along the bank dumping me by the plane.

As soon as he set me down I kicked his ankle hard out of sheer frustration and he winced and then put his hand up, one on each side of me imprisoning me against the plane.

" Listen to me for the last and final time... you will do as I will tell you to and when I tell you to. You can take a bath later on. We have to check the plane and see if we can get something that we can make use of. I think that it may have escaped your mind but we don't have any food, I can manage, but I am not sure how you will make out on a diet of grilled iguana and snake soup. " He said and I literally had to stop myself from making an offending comment but I said, " Ughhh!! "

" So by the time you are checking the plane, I will be back after taking a bath. " I said.

" But if you go to take a bath I will have to waste the valuable time minding you. " He said.

What the hell does he think of me? Does he think that I am a baby and he is a bloody babysitter?

" Minding me? But why? I can take care of myself." I said immediately.

" You don't mind sharing your bath with crocodiles, leeches, and Piranhas?? " He asked raising his eyebrows.

"What??"

" Yes, there are lots of them in there. " He said nodding.

" Oh, please, I didn't notice any of them, since you seemed to be enjoying your swim and bath. " I said immediately without thinking anything, just wanted to prove that he was lying.

" What?? You were... Watching me?? I didn't know, was anyone minding me? " He asked and my cheeks started to burn again.

" Oh, I just happened to see you swimming in the water and came back. Didn't keep sitting there minding you. " I said with embarrassment. He was looking at me intensely instead of feeling embarassed that I saw him.

I was getting uncomfortable under his heated gaze. He smiled all of a sudden.

Smiled?? But why?.

" It's not fair, if you can bathe why can't I? " I asked again before he could tease me again.

" Because I am saying that...I told you that I would give the orders and you would follow them or you could take a leisurely bath but I will leave, you can find your way on your own. Do I make myself clear? " He asked raising an eyebrow.

" Absolutely clear, sir!! " I said sarcastically.

" So stop sulking and arguing. I am a patient man usually but... "

" You patient? Really?" I asked and laughed sarcastically.

" Yes, but you are the most irritating girl I know. You bring out the worst in me. I suggest that you mind your sharp tongue, or manage on your own" He said.

" How long will it take to get out of here? "

" Four to five days at my speed but if you keep irritating me, we will take much longer. " He said.

" Four days?? "

" At the least! " He said. How would I sustain being in such proximity with him??

Damn him!!

I was dying to get away from him ...

But I shuddered, thinking that all the crocodiles, big wild animals, snakes, leeches, and Piranhas I would have to manage while trying to get out of the jungle on my own, "Ughhhh! "

" Aww, don't worry honey if you behave yourself, I promise to keep you safe and get you out of here," he said pulling me into his arms.

" Are you not scared of all these things?" I asked, pushing his hands off my body.

" With such a dense forest around us, I would be mad, if I am not scared in the situation, but since you are with me, I am not that scared. " He said

" Awww... That's one of the best things you have ever said to me, but I am scared. " I said.

" Don't be, I am scared for the wild animals, but I hope they would be scared of you and will keep away from us. " He said seriously.

" I just hope that they don't overreact out of fear or panic and attack us. "

I said and looked at him in the same mocking way and he burst out laughing.

" Okay, now shall we see if we have anything worth carrying with us till we are in the jungle? " He went in and he started looking for the goods, while I looked at the crumpled tin that had been a plane just a day before and realized once again how lucky we were to be alive and how lucky I was to have him by my side.

Though we were still miles away from being safe I felt safe being with him at the same time, I felt different, alien feelings, and I didn't feel that safe all of a sudden.

But why was I taking his bullying so easily?

Why was I enjoying the morning sun on my face, the breeze caressing my hair, the rush of joy of intense gladness just to be alive which I had never felt before??

" Are you going to help me Daddy's princess?? You better come as I am not your slave. Come here and help me, I can't carry all this. " He said.

I shook my head to clear my thoughts and went in to see that he was sitting in front of some kind and pack of ready-to-eat food.

He turned to me and smiled. It seems we got lucky, somehow. I sat beside him and checked the food items. There were many packs like ready-to-eat MTR upma, rice, Savory rice packs, two kidney beans in gravy packs, two MTR Savory rice flakes packs (poha), some daal rice, and spices. Four cups of noodles, some cookies, tea bags, etc.

" Wow!! It seems someone was going on a picnic in the jungle. " I said smiling at him.

" This is the emergency rations... See we have a first aid box and a few common medicines. " He said and then he pulled two more boxes in the end. He flipped open one and whistled.

" Wow!! "

" What?? " I asked as I had not seen the box yet. I leaned against his shoulder to see what he had found.

A big sharp knife, a spade, and an axe??

" We have to take them with us, in case we need them." He said.

"Yes, but we should pay for everything we are taking even the plane... " I said.

" Yes, let's wait here, they will come to find us and kill us instead of taking any payment for all this. " He replied.

" Why are you saying that? " I asked.

" It belongs to the smugglers, maybe, your precious Arun. " He said.

" How can you be sure of it? "

" We have some of the very expensive gold antique statues here in the plane. There is some jewelry, valuable metal things like some gold and silver coins, and some other valuable things they got at the digging site like some old utensils. And wait a minute... " He said and took out something that was tied in a muslin cloth.

He parted the cloth and we both gasped when we saw a big gold pendant of sun in a thick gold chain.

" It is so beautiful... " I said looking at it with my eyes almost out of my face.

" Yes, it is, perfect for you." Smiling he reached out, moved my hair aside, and fastened the chain around my neck It felt cold and heavy against my flesh, the thick big locket swinging softly on my bust.

" How is it looking on me," I asked him.

He looked at me intensely and when I asked him again.
