I came back to the room on my slightly unsteady legs and threw myself on the bed as I was dead tired and kept staring at the opposite wall.

Did all those things really happen an hour ago?? Did he really save me??

Yes!!! I should be grateful to him but the way he was behaving was making it difficult for me to be grateful to him.

I took a quick shower, changed into fresh clothes, and packed my bags. I was ready, but could not simply leave after what I saw in the jungle.

Why was he telling me, not to do anything? Did he really understand the gravity of the situation or had he simply seen me leaving the hotel, followed me there, and was playing a game at my expense to amuse himself??

He was Shaurya... Anything was possible with him.

Anyway, I was not going to leave the matter like this... For god's sake, I am a responsible citizen of my country and it is my duty to stop if I see any illegal activities.

Yes, I have to do something. I went out taking precautions so that he wouldn't see me going out or he would keep shouting at me.

I looked for Arun and told him everything. He was shocked and then became very angry all of a sudden why did I go there alone?? He scolded me saying that I was his responsibility till the trip was over, so why did I do something that he had told me not to do as the instructions were for our own security?

Then he calmed down and asked me if I was alright. I nodded.

" Does anyone else know about it?? " He asked.

" Yes, Sh... Mr Abhinav Sharma came to know about it but he dragged me back here like a coward. He should have informed the police. So I am telling you now. We must inform them." I said.

" Yes, of course, but since you are my responsibility, I don't want you to get involved in all this, moreover, if you go to the police, then they will force you to stay here and be their witness. You would have to stay here in the state. Trust me, it will be a lot of trouble for someone who lives in Delhi. I am a local and can face all this easily. So you go to your room and stay there while I inform the police. " He said and I was impressed with his wisdom.

It was the right decision to inform him about what I saw. Feeling calmed down, I came back to my room and as soon as I entered my room, I felt that someone was there. I was about to shriek but it was smothered by a hand on my mouth.

Oh, I knew that strong hand by now. I raised my hand assuring him that I would not shout. He loosened his grip.

" What are you doing here? How did you get in? " I asked.

" Where have you been?" He asked rudely.

" Nowhere, I just went to get a cup of coffee. " I lied.

" Why didn't you order at the room service? " He asked with a raised eyebrow.

" What is your problem? " I asked.

" Gauravi, tell me!! Don't play games." He said.

' I am not playing... " I shook my head.

" Shut up! I want the truth. Only the truth. Come out with it. " He came closer as if he wanted to intimidate me.

" I really went to get coffee. " I repeated.

" Don't lie to me, tell me right away! " He yelled at me.

" Fine!! I went to meet Arun to tell him what we saw... "

" WHAT???? What did you do? " His eyes seemed to be coming out of his face. He looked like a ghost, not one of the most handsome men I had ever seen.

" I had to tell someone... Could not go back like this without doing anything... He said that he would inform the authorities. We don't need to worry about the formalities. How sweet of... " I was saying when he punched the wall behind me. I shook with the impact and shock.

" Ughh!! You foolish girl!! What have you done?? Are you out of your mind? " He glared at me as if he wanted to kill me right away.

" What is your problem?? I have never seen such a cowardly action of such a macho-looking man like you. Well, I am not a coward like you, I had to inform the authorities. " I explained.

" No, you idiot, you informed Arun Nair, not the authorities. Do you even know what you have done? " He said glaring at me.

" Yes, so what are you going to do about it?? Hit me?? " I was annoyed with him as he was being cowardly and was yelling at me for doing something right.

" I would have, if you were a boy, as my parents have taught me to respect women and never to raise a hand to them. You are such a stupid and irritating girl that I really want to forget what my parents taught me over the years. " He yelled.

My temper, which had already stretched beyond the breaking point, snapped. I drew back my hand but before I could slap him, he caught my wrist in his hand and twisted it behind my back. Tears came out of pain and I tried to get it out of his grip but it seemed that he was holding my wrist with a hand made up of iron. I pressed my nails into his skin but he didn't even blink.

While he was still holding my hand behind my back, I realized that our faces were just inches apart.

He looked even more handsome now. An angry young man... An angry, handsome young man.

I must be mad If I found him when he was being so rude to me.

" Listen to one thing and once and for all, in the future, if you are still alive to have a future, you will do what I tell you, exactly what I tell you, and the instant I tell you to do something. Do I make myself clear, Dad's princess?? Because you might be a princess but I am not your slave or dad. " He said still holding me in the same way. I was having pain in my wrist.

" Yes, perfectly!! But let me clear one thing to you... You are messing up with the wrong girl. I will... "

" I know what you do, you will go to your dad or Siddh crying that I messed with you. But you will do that when you stay alive. Right? So if you want to stay alive, do what I am saying or go to hell. " He said.

" I hate yo... " I could not complete my sentence and gasped out of pain as he tightened his grip on my hand.

" Shhh!" He held up a warning finger, and I nodded.

We heard some sound, of the opening and closing of a door he froze into watch fullness, his eyes narrowed like a cat and he looked tense. His Steel hard body was so close to mine that our thighs and hips pressed together, and he seemed oblivious to it while I was too aware of it.

He switched off the lights immediately and looked out of the window standing behind the curtain, I also peeped out over his shoulder and saw Arun walking out of the hotel in a hurry.

" Relax! It is just Arun. " I said taking a deep breath.

" We are leaving right now. " He said looking alarmed.

" What? "

" Get an appointment from a good ENT surgeon when you go back. Can't you hear anything for the first time? I said we are leaving right now. " He said firmly.

" I heard that, but why?? "

" I don't have time and energy to explain everything to a dim wit like you. " He replied.

" Hello, I am a radiologist. A well-qualified doctor. You are dumb and a coward. Why do we have to leave, he is going to inform the authorities. Why are you getting so scared? " I asked.

" I am scared for you as you are a certified idiot. Come with me before your precious Arun comes back with those armed smugglers. " He jerked my wrist once again but this time I managed to stand where I was, putting my feet firmly on the ground.

" What nonsense!! Why do you think so? " I asked.

" Let's go, we don't have time for that."

" I am not going anywhere till you explain everything. Tell me what is going on? " I said he cursed under his breath.

" You idiot, you spoiled my whole mission with your stubbornness in a day, alone and unaided. My whole one-man surveillance operation is fouled all because of you. I really want to beat you at the moment, thank your god that you were born as a girl. " He said glaring at me.

" Your mission?? Operation?? You mean... " I could not digest what he said.
