Nock nock nock....

"Come in" I yelled from my bed.

Beth came in as usual. She brought a steaming tray full of my favorites. I smiled happily with Delight as I jumped up on all fours and quickly crawled to the foot of my bed and sat down. Beth giggled then handed me the tray. Once I put the tray beside me I grabbed her arm and yanked her back to sit with me on my bed.

"Take a breath beth... Hey that rhymes. breath Beth, beth Breath." I said finding it amusing.

Beth gave me the oddest look, so I took a peace of my jelly bread and practically shoved it in her mouth. She smiled as she licked her lips and smiled.

"What has the princess in such a happy Mood?" She asked.

I smiled. I couldn't remember feeling so happy! There was a time when I looked at William, all I saw was my undoing.. Now he seems like the one thing that's holding me together. Beth saw the dazed look on my face and smiled knowingly.

"It wouldn't have anything to do with the, How did you put it.. Oh yes.. The hatful, despicable, pig of a prince." She said.

I glared at her for ruining my moment. She put her hands up in surrender as she laughed. "Your words, not mine"

I smiled at her. I did say that.. At least 20 times in fact, and to be far he is still cocky, And arrogant, and a little piggish, but I guess I have grown to see past it.

"True, but he is my pig now." I said and she giggled.

"At least you sort of like the man you're going to marry now." She said and I found myself losing my smile.

"I don't want to marry the man, beth" "I just started to be able to look at him without puking"

"Oh please" beth said then bursted out laughing hysterically.

"What?"

"Like he is such a eye sore to look at." She said sarcastically.

"I guess he isn't that bad..."

Beth cut me off. "Isn't that bad?? Are you blind? He is stunning, Walking perfection is what that man is."

I eyed her warningly.

"I have eyes you know. I see things, and trust me no woman in this inter kingdom can look past that!" She stated as a fact.

"Hmm" I said plopping a handful of grapes in my mouth. "Won't that be a interesting thing to tell norman."

She eyed me this time. "Norman might not have the god like Beauty as the prince does, but he is perfect for me. I guess you could say he is my 'walking perfection'.

I smiled. Grabbing her arm and giving it a squeeze. "I know."

"Speaking of you and norman, how has it been?" I asked.

She smiled. "Yesterday when you said you were going out for a ride i stayed and cleaned you're room, norman nocked on the door about a hour later and asked me if I wanted to join him for a walk." She said dreamily. "It was great!"

"What about you? By the looks of it, you and William had a good afternoon yesterday?" She asked with a knowing smile.

It was fantastic! Besides the part of almost killing him then allowing him to kill me if he wanted to..

"Wonderful" I said leaving out loads of details. Some things were better left unsaid.

I quickly got off the bed and pulled on the dress she laid out for me, then I undid the braid I put my hair in last night after my bath, it fell in curly black locks as my skin smelled of lavender and peppermint.

"I have a Archery area to get to!" I said happy about it for the first time.

"Oh my lady. I heard beth call out from behind me. "Before you go, you're uncle would like a few words."

And just like that, my day was ruined.

Ever since yesterday when I kissed him I completely forgot about my uncle and all the problems that came with him.. But now that I was well on my way to his room I could remember them all to well.

I nocked three times before he opened and waved his hand for me to come in.

He closed the door behind him before he turned around with a smile.

"Good news, my dear Cora!" He said as he walked to his desk and sat on it. he pointed to the chair in front of him and I walked to it and sat down.

"I know that you hate this, I can see it every time you look at the prince. You wish nothing more then to rid yourself of him. I know it was evil of me to hold out on you but I guarantee it was necessary and vital to our plan"

Our plan? It couldn't really be our plan if I don't know anything about it.

I knew there was something more to it. There always is.

"As you know, Your wedding is in less then a week away." He said.

"I am not really getting married am I?" I asked, knowing this from the beginning.

"Oh yes, as a matter of fact you are!" He said as his eyes darkened.

"But then why.."

"Quite child! Let me explain." He yelled

"There is going to be a wedding and you are going to marry him. After the wedding you are also going to... Well you know.." He said he said with a twisted smile.

"Actually I don't?" I asked confused.

"Sleep with the man, Cora." He stated bored.

I sucked in a breath, shocked.

"It's not that big of a deal child." He said then continued "after you sleep with him you'll kill him, simple as that!" He said as if he were the greatest mastermind off all time.

"Why would I marry him, then sleep with him just to kill him?" I asked Through wide eyes.

"If you marry the prince and he dies then the closest living relative will inherit everything."

"Then why do I have to sleep with him? Why can't I just kill him and get everything?" I asked lost with his ridiculous plan.

"Because even through marriage your not a relative, let alone the closest. try to keep up child." He said annoyed.

I looked at him thinking his officially gone mad.

"Oh Cora, did your mother forget to give you 'the talk' ?" He asked laughing. Then his face Strengthened.

"Once you slept with him, you will become pregnant, then your child will become the closest living relative! After that not only will you be the queen of this kingdom but also the mother of the future king or queen of there kingdom. Since the child will need guidance to rule until it is of age, I will be more then happy to volunteer." He said evilly.

I sucked in a breath and backed away from my uncle. This was it, this was it all along...
