William POV

The night took forever to Appear, and I couldn't be more eager for it to come. Ever since I have arrived, I had a horrible feeling about Cora's uncle and now I Finley get to get a better idea about him. For dinner Cora looked stunning, her dark hair fell down her tan neck in the most sexiest way. I often caught myself staring. What was it about this girl that made me so addicted to her sight? When I escorted Cora to her seat she had her hand linked in my elbow, it reminded me of the library when I leaped off the second floor. I remembered how She felt so small and delicate in my arms, yet so fierce and angry as she slapped me across the face. I must admit she was more attractive then ever in that moment.

After I pulled out the seat for her, I took my own seat beside her. she hadn't said much since I told her about my discovers. I guess she'd been lost in thought most of the time. It's understandable considering the thought of her own uncle coving something up that big.

Dinner was served as soon as we sat, or should I just say a bunch of small meals and deserts for us to try. Me and Cora both took no interest in the testing. It was mostly our parents asking us do you like this? Or would you prefer that? We would just nod and agree not really interested in participating. Some of the food was great, others not so great. Since everyone had a deferent taste in food we could never come to a agreement. It went on like that for what felt like hours and my patience was starting to wear tin.

I glanced at Cora a few times derring the meals and she had her gaze Focused on her uncle. He however was bright and beaming with happiness as he talked with everyone in the room with a smile.

After a few more disagreements they come up with a few choices they would be serving and honestly, I can't remember any of them, i wasn't paying attention at the moment.

My mother and Cora's mother stood as they excused themselves and walked out of the room chatting about womanly things. My father and Cora's uncle stood as well and shook hands. Then my father turned to me

"I think it's time we retire to our chambers and get some rest." He said before walking to the door and waiting for me to follow. I walked up To Cora and whispered in her ear.

"Meet me outside the library when the moon is in the center of the sky" then I placed a kiss on her cheek so my father wouldn't get suspicious. She pulled her face away soon after then gazed at me in confusion before she understood what I was doing and placed a believable smile on her face, then raised her hand to place it on my arm and gave it a squeeze.

"I'll see you tomorrow my darling!" She said load enough so my father would hear. I smiled then turned back to the door and walked to where my father stood. He wore the biggest smile as he patted me on the back.

"Well done son"

I Laid in bed staring at the ceiling thinking over everything. What was to come of tonight? What would we find? Or should I say what would I find? Cora possibly already knows about this and is just playing with me, I swear she will be the death of me. I knew who she is, and what she is capable of, but somehow when I look at her I forget all about it. All I could see is her perfect figure and black silky hair that trails down to her hips, and what lovey hips they are. And her eyes, so dark with Beauty, most of the time they'd Slice through me like a hundred daggers, but tonight when she grabbed my arm and smiled I could swear my heart jumped out of my chest, and I know it was just a act, to make it seem as if we were the happy couple that would be married soon, but still it felt like... Like that's how it was supposed to be. now i found myself thinking of ways I could see that smile again. What am I doing?

I laid there kicking myself for taking liking to a girl who manipulates and kills her way through life. For all I knew I could be next. Just because she doesn't want me dead now doesn't mean that won't change. So I came to the simple conclusion that I don't really like her, I must just find her attractive, that's all.

I got up and walked to the window and noticed the moon sat at the middle of the sky. Shit! I am late! I went to the door immediately and then took a deep breath as I closed my eyes, calling out my inner power, I felt it flow through me as I became one with my surroundings, masked from the sight of anyone's eyes. I walked swift yet soundlessly to the library, a few maids were still up but it wasn't a issue do to my invisibility. As I stood at the door I noticed Cora was nowhere to be found. I decided to make my way in anyway, she probably got help up or simply fell asleep. I however needed to know what king Xavier was up to. I quietly made my way into the library and then around to the steps as I started to climb straight up I saw a pair of long tan legs dangling off the edge. Cora pepped her head down at me with a bored look.

"Your late" she said

I finished climbing up and was now on the Second floor, Cora however was still on the floor sitting,

"I am never late, everyone else is simply early." I said sarcastically and was surprised when she smiled slightly.

I reached out my hand for her to grab and pull her up but she just stared at it and shook her head, as she got up herself. If I known earlier today that playing a simple joke on her would scare her so bad I wouldn't of done it. I felt a ping of guilt for what I did but then remembered all the things Cora has done to me in the past and it soon vanished.

"Alright, so he placed the book that you saw in the desk right?" She asked as we made our way passed loads of books on various shelfs.

"Yes, it was dark blue and looked worn from age." I said remembering the look and feel of the book.

"Alright" she said as she opened the desk and started to dig through it. She held up a few books she thought to be the one but I nodded no. after the 3rd book my lack of patience got the best of me.

"Allow me" I said before politely shoving her out of the way to begin looking.

After a few glances I spotted it, and took it out. She leaned over my shoulder to look at the book. the smell of roses and wildflowers came roaming off of her. I quickly walked away and sat on a nearby chair, but that failed because she just followed me and stood behind me again to read the book. I huffed annoyed, not with her but with the fact that just the sent of her could drive me crazy. I handed her the book and decided it would be best if she would just read it. with her hovering over me like that I am not sure how much reading I could actually do.

She softy walked back and forth in the room reading the Generals Journal. After a few moments she stopped in place and her eyes widened with shock as she kept reading. She stopped and starred at me for a moment before she began reading again, I called for her a few times but she was so lost in the book that I was not to be heard. Her eyes then grew a frustrated look as she flipped Through what looked like empty pages.

"Where is the rest?" She whispered. "There has to be more"

She through down the book and it skidded across the floor, pages flying everywhere. She put her hands up to her face and started to mumble Nonsense. I quickly walked up to her and placed both hands on her shoulders and started to shake her out of it. She looked up at me helplessly before she almost fell to her knees. I caught her and stabled her in my arms. She Clung to be as she wrapped her arms around me. Not knowing what else to do I put my arms around her and placed my chin on her head.

"Calm down Cora. Tell me what's wrong?" I asked her in her hair

She took a deep calming breath before looking up at me but not letting me go.

"He ordered him to kill them" she said eyes watering "men Women, even children," a look of disgust filled her eyes "he is a monster"
