Chapter 15
Cora's Point of View.
***
It was dark and chilly outside the stables under the moon light. I couldn't get over Williams rudeness, James was my friend, my best friend. How could he treat people that way? I feel sorry for norman, he has to be that pigs man servant, owe the nerve!
I stumped my way out of the stables all the way over to the garden, James followed short behind. Once there I took a deep breath and turned to face him. Despite me being angry, James looked pretty content at the moment. I guess he was used to being looked down on from others, poor James.
"I am so sorry James, he is such a ignorant, self observed, pig!" I hissed angrily.
James smiled, amused at me being angry. How could he not care?
"What's wrong with you? He stumped on you back there like you were just a ant under his boot." I yelled at him.
His smile fated but he still didn't look angry.
"Because he is to none of my concern, why should I care if he hates me just because I am not a royal or filthy rich? I would rather be just the way I am then a hatful being such as himself."
I let out a breath and let my anger go. James was right, I was overreacting. Why should I care if William does not like James or anyone like him? It doesn't affect me, I will still talk to James and beth and anyone who wanted to talk to me for the matter because unlike him I don't have a stick up my bum,
"Your right James, I guess I just hated the way he said
" We don't talk to the likes of them" I said the last part in a high annoying tone causing James to bust out in laughter. "he practically ordered me not to talk to you, who the hell does he think he is?" I said.
He began walking though the garden looking at all the flowers and bushes, I followed him.
"He thinks he is a prince," James said sarcastically. "And he is"
"Really lady Cora it does not affect me at all, I wouldn't even wish to talk to him anyways, why would I when I have you to keep me company?" He said with a smile.
I smiled back "me?" I pointed to my Chest then shook my head. "I don't talk to the likes of you" I said sarcastically as I pushed him into a small tree in the middle of the garden.
"You better hope you can outrun me Princess" he yelled before he sprang after me. I giggled before I sprinted off around the garden.

I smiled as I pushed open my chamber doors, the memory of James trying to catch me still fresh in my brain. Of corse he could never really catch me unless I let him because of my abilities and James knew that, but it didn't stop him from trying, it never has.
I noticed beth in my room fixing the bed, she pulled the covers back down under the pillows then fluffed them up lightly. On the table sat a steaming boil that looked like potato stew, yum!
"Hello beth" I said happily.
"Hello my lady, how did your courting with the prince this afternoon go?" She asked.
The smile faded from my face as the thought of him bashing James came floating back to my mind. I gazed at beth, such a kind soul, how could William not want anything to do with 'the likes of her'
if you ask me beth is better then most of the people in this place.
"It was good, until me and him had a misunderstanding about a subject" i said truthful.
Unlike James, beth didn't know about my powers or what my uncle used them for, she was always so happy and light, she walked as if nothing could ever ruin her day. I could never bring myself to drag her into the darkness of my world.
"I see my lady, hopefully it will all workout for the best, after all He is quite the looker" she winked
I opened my mouth to protest but then closed it, she was right he was stunning, from the way he looked to the way he fought, such Control and grace.. Before he would try to behead you that is,
"But he is a donkeys rear" I complained.
"Every man is my lady" she said before her face got all goggly eyed. "Besides norman of corse" she said dreamily.
"Alright then, spit it out already!" I said as I sat in my chair and began eating the potato stew.
"Alright" she said as she sat on my bed gracefully and began.
"Well it started out like this, it was the first day of your fiancé's arrival and I was walking through the courtyard after I fixed your Chambers and prepared your meal, I happened to bump right into him then dropped my basket, it was absolutely adorable how he got all worried and started scuffling up all the items that fell out of it, he keeped on rambling on about how sorry he was." She said as she laughed
"The next day when I was preparing your meal he came into the kitchen, it just so happened to be that he had to prepare a meal to for prince William, so we talked and shared recipes and old cooking disaster stories, it was quite fun." She said, I could not help but smiling, she was so happy.
" I don't know why but I couldn't help but being a bit shy around him, I just thought he liked how he could talk to someone in the same position as he was in, it didn't acer to me that he had any interest in me until this morning when he asked if I would like to walk around the gardens with him" she said.
"From the smile on your face I am assuming it went well?" I asked.
She smiled brightly up at me, then she placed her hands together in her lap.
"Oh my lady I don't want to bore you with my childish rambling."
"Beth, you could do anything but bore me" I said truthfully, I was happy for her, she had the Privilege to find someone to make her happy, most people don't get that chance.
"Alright," she said "I had to admit when he asked me to meet him in the gardens after I finished my work I was a surprise and very nervous, but I agreed anyway..."

Beth's point of view. (Flash back)
I smiled at my reflection in the mirror. blonde hair hung over my shoulders in lose curls, my green eyes reflected perfect with the light blue dress that fold past my ankles in a short trail behind me. The long sleeves and low neckline showed off my collarbone with perfection, I am not one of those girls who think they are the prettiest thing in the world but this time I had to admit I looked good.
I walked out of the servants chambers and down the hall that Led to the courtyard, once there I waved at miss more, one of the elderly servants of the Castle, she showed me as a small child how to be the best servant I could be , and she's the reason I became Princess Cora's personal maid, I would be forever thankful to her.
She smiled and waved back, then continued doing her daily routine. I made my way to the gardens and began pacing nervously in await. After a few minutes I sat on the big marble stone next to me, playing with the sleeves of my dress. after awhile I started doubting that he would even show up. such I fool I thought to myself, you think that he would actually like you did you? I lowered my head and Rose from my Seat. I began walking out of the garden when I head a voice call out to me.
"Beth, beth is that you." A male voice called out coming out from behind the rows of bushes.
I realized it was norman, he looked like a absolute mess, from his blonde hair to his rugged working attire. Somehow he didn't look the slightest bit less attractive though. He ran towards me and then stopped in front of me catching his breath, he just then seemed to notice me somehow, his eyes feel on my dress then to my hair then finally met my eyes.
"You look amazing!" He said
"And you look late."
"I am sorry beth, I didn't mean to be. The prince gave me countless things to do before he left and it took forever to get them done, I apologize" he said
Of course, I should've thought of that before, it was foolish of me being mad at him, it must be hard being Williams personal maid, he was so hard to please. I thanked god everyday for being Cora's maid, she's just a lovely woman, even if she made me do all the other things that a made is expected to do I wouldn't mind doing it at all. Cora treats me with the upmost respect, I don't know why but she does, and I love her for that.
"It's alright norman " I said with a smile.
"Alright then." He said stuck out his elbow and I linked my arm around it, we began walking around the gardens and he took every flower and tree into detail.
"Lovely isn't it?" He asked
"It is, although it's nothing that I haven't seen all my life" I said truthfully
"That's right, I am sorry unlike me you grew up here." He said in a disappointed voice.
"No norman, really it's alright, this is my favorite place on palace grounds." I said reassuringly.
He smiled as we stopped under a tree for shade, it was a hot summer day after all and I was dying of heat in my dress. He looked Surprised when I took a seat on the ground, then leaned my back against the bark of the big Oak tree. I smiled then patted my hand to the ground beside me and he sat as well.
"Most maidens would hate to get such a lovely dress dirty." He said
"Well, I am not most maidens, and besides it's just a dress, I'll wash it later and it will be as good as new."
He smiled then brought his knees up and rested his arms on them, my hands lay together in my lap gracefully.
"So what do you think about princess Cora and Prince Williams marriage arrangement?" He asked me wanting to hear my thoughts.
Truthfully I thought Cora was way to good for William, he could be arrogant and Self absorbed, when Cora was kind and selfless. I didn't think they were good for one another.
"I don't know really, no offense but I am not to taken by your prince." I said honestly.
He just laughed.
"Not many are"
"It takes a little bit of knowing him and a lot of patients to deal with him sometimes, but he grows on you."
"Oh really? I would assume that you loathed him, he can be so cruel, and you have to put up with it all the time"
"It's not that bad, he is kinder then he lets on, and I don't mind the work, I do get paid better then any servant in my kingdom besides the King and queen's servants of course" he said, I nodded in understanding.
"What about lady Cora? What do you think of her?" I asked
He thought it over a bit which caused me to wonder.
"I think shes annoyed with me for liking you, I think she is very protective and I feel as if she would have me killed if I hurt you." He said a bit amused
He saw my reaction to him saying that he liked me and then he smiled.
"Who couldn't like you beth? Your exquisite," he said.
He then grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers and placed a soft kiss upon my cheek and I stood there dazed, then he looked at my lips then back up at my eyes, I found myself leaning into him then before I new it his lips fell over mine, and the kiss left my whole body radiating in goosebumps.
