"Pleaaaase."
"No."
"Pretty Pleeeeease?"
"Shut up."
"Please."
"I said no."
"I'm not even asking for much." Lux whined.
"You're asking for blackmail on Blaise, Lux, that's not what I'd call 'not that much.'"
"Hmmmph," Lux pouted, his lower lip jutting out as he crossed his arms over his chest.
"You're impossible."
"But please, princess."
"Shut up."
"Fine."
Skye looked at him in surprise, shocked by the sudden change in demeanor. "You okay?"
"Yep, couldn't be better." He grumbled.
"Sure?"
"Yep, happy as a clam."
"Positive?"
"Yesssss." Lux groaned in annoyance.
Skye and Lux rode on in silence. Bright green light filtered through the treetops, the leaves shielding them from the blinding sun. They rode carefully, their horses picking the way among the thick vegetation.
"How much longer till we get out of the forest?" Skye asked.
"Be patient, we'll be out of here soon."
"'Okay."
Skye didn't like this silence from Lux, the atmosphere was so tense you could sense it from a mile away.
Was it something I did? Did I say something wrong? Skye thought worriedly.
"Lux..? Sorry if I was being..." She trailed off, not really knowing what she did wrong.
"No, you didn't do anything wrong." Lux told her. "I just wasn't in the mood to argue."
Skye's brows furrowed in worry. "Are you okay? Do you feel sick? Lighthea-" She was cut off by Lux.
"I'm fine, mom." Lux laughed and Skye's nose scrunched up at the new nickname.
"Hey! Don't call me that!" Skye laughed.
"I know, you'd much rather have me call you princess."
"That's even worse." Skye grumbled.
"Would you prefer I call you mom?"
"Don't you dare."
"Okay, Princess. Your wish is my command." Lux grinned and attempted to bow, failing greatly.
"Were you trying to bow?"
"Maybe."
"You do realize you're on a horse right?"
"I'm pretty sure I have eyes." Lux retorted.
He and Skye came up to a small clearing. His horse came to a stop and Skye rode up beside him.
Lux's leg brushed against hers and Skye looked away to hide the blush creeping up her cheeks.
He pretended not to notice.
Lux nimbly hopped off his horse and came up to her horse after tying his horse to the tree. "Need help?"
Skye shook her head, and attempted to get off the horse herself.
Her foot slipped.
Skye fell, expecting a hard impact, but instead landed in Lux's arms.
This time there was no way she could hide the blush.
"Awwww, is Princess blushing?" Lux teased.
Skye glared at him. "I was not."
"Yes you were."
"Were not."
"So if I do this, you won't be affected?"
Lux's lips brushed across her neck, causing her to blush even more madly.
Lux pulled away and grinned, "Sure you're not affected Princess? 'Cause the blush says otherwise."
Lux promptly dropped her onto the floor and turned around, hiding his face.
"Don't flirt with me, I'm not used to it, and I'm incredibly stupid when it comes to matters of looove." He sang the last words.
Skye scoffed "Me? Flirting with you? Remind me who caught me? And the person who literally just-"
"A -a-a-" Lux cut her off "I know when a princess is acting like a damsel. Maybe the medicine hasn't fully worn off yet."
