"This is hopeless." Skye groaned.

Lux looked up, "Do you want to be healthy or not?"

"I do! It's just we've been searching for HOURS. Who's to say it even exists?"

"My books don't lie."

"They can."

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Were they made by a professional?"

"I'm done with this argument. It's wasting time." Lux said.

A moment of silence passed between the two. "What are we looking for again?"

Now it was Lux's turn to groan. "I've told you like fifty times already!"

"Tell me again."

"We are searching for golden colored flowers with five arrow shaped petals. Y'know, the cure to your fatal disease?"

"Isn't it supposed to be a potato?"

"No, it's the FLOWER of the potato."

"Found it."

Lux looked up. "Seriously?"

Skye rolled her eyes. "No, I was joking."

"That's too much double-talk Skye, did you find it or not?"

"I did." Skye pointed at the golden-colored flower with five arrow-shaped leaves Lux talked about.

Lux ran over and gasped. "No-o-o way... This is really rare! I didn't think we'd find it! "

"How are we going to harvest it?"

"Aaah yes, the harvesting," Lux said, imitating a Caeli Civium accent.

"Your accent sucks."

"As if you could do better."

"Yes, I could."

"Do it."

"Aah yes, the harvesting," Skye said imitating a Caeli Civium accent.

Lux falls on the floor laughing. "Y-you call t-that an a-accent?" he wheezed.

"I hate you so much."

Lux rolled his eyes. "Of course you do. Admit it. You love me."

"I think I was clear the last fifty times I said I hate you."

"What was that? You said you love me? Why thank you!"

"Will you just harvest the damn plant already?!""

"No need to yell," Lux grumbled and started to carefully extract the flower.

"So you're saying I'm supposed to eat that?"

"Yes," Lux said rolling his eyes.

"Looks like yellow mud."

"Cause we were supposed to boil it and turn it into pulp."

"Isn't there any other way?"

"No."

"Fine."

Skye tentatively took the spoon and dipped it into the yellow mulch. She brought it to her lips and sipped.

"Ugh! That's disgusting!" Skye spat.

"I know."

"Why didn't you tell me earlier?"

"Because I thought you cared more about your life than your tastebuds."

"Why do I have to eat it?" Skye groaned.

"Cause you're going to die."

"I haven't had hallucinations for a week."

"Do you want them to start again?"

"No..."

Lux took the spoon, watched the sludge slide down, then he scooped three or four spoonfuls into his mouth.

"Lux!" Skye laughed.
Moving the spoon to the corner of his mouth, Lux spoke,

"Truly exquisite. I do believe that is the best yellow mud I've ever had the honor of eating."

He took another spoonful and rotated his hand to give it to Skye. "Don't make me spoonfeed you," Lux laughed as he gave her the spoon.

"Agh, the mere thought of being spoonfed by you sounds infinitely worse than this." She laughed and put the spoon to the side, downing the entire bowl instead.

There. Happy?" Skye said as she put the empty bowl down.

"Yes," Lux said, picking said bowl up.

"Finally."

Lux looked up at the setting sun. "Too late to get on the road today, we could get a head start tomorrow if we wake up early."

"As if that's ever happening."

"What do you mean?" Lux looked at Skye.

"You sleep more than a drugged sloth."

"I am a growing boy."

"You're eighteen."

"And?"

"Your age of 'growth' has passed."

"That's not true."

"Sure."

A moment of silence.

"Skye?" Lux asks, his voice slightly softening.

"Yeah?"

"I've been meaning to ask you."

"Ask what?"

"Why?"

"So I can blackmail him."

"Su-wait what?"
