Who we really are
We're in the chill area in the hospital. The chill area is this place where patients currently at this hospital can hang out or play. The walls are blue and the carpet is turquoise. There is a small play ground for the kids and some bean bag chairs and a big pink, fluffy couch for the teens. There is a coffee table filled with board games, and a coffee maker, you can make anything from that thing thing, hot chocolate, coffee, tea, anything. Me and my friends, (James, Jerry, Liam, Lauren, Ellie and Max.), all sit down in some of the bean bag chairs.
"So, guys, I want you to tell if you got any visitors." I ask.
"We all did, except for James." Ellie says.
"My name is Jake." Max says.
"My name is Paige." Ellie says.
"Mines David." Jerry says.
"Mines Zander." Liam says.
"Mines Kenzie." Lauren says.
"And mines Kali." I say.
"Oh, well. So are we going to call each other by our real names now?" Zander asks.
"I don't know, do you want too?" David says.
"Sure, why not?" Jake says.
"Okay." Kenzie says.
"So, what are we going to do? You know, after we get released from the hospital? Are we going to go school? Where are we going to live?" I ask.
"That's a good question Kali." Nurse Stacey says as she walks in the room.
"Why are you here?" David asks.
"Because, I can answer Sheila's.......er........Kali's, question." She says.
"Well, then what are you waiting for? Answer them." I say.
"I think I have found you guys a home. It's at the girls and boys home for teens. And all of you except for Jake, since he's 21. He'll have to go find someone else to stay with." Nurse Stacey says.
"Oh, well that's great!" I say.
"Not for me!" Jake says.
"Well, Jake, I'm sure that you'll find a good home." Nurse Stacey says.
"But why can't I stay with you?" Jake asks.
"Because, the home that everyone else is staying at is for people aged 13-18. So, seeing that your 21, you can't stay." Nurse Stacey says.
"But, how do know how old I am? And how do know my name?" Jake asks.
"Birth records. Everybody has one." Nurse Stacey says.
"Cool." Jake says.
"Yeah, and I found you a school too. It's called Winnipeg high school. And the grade levels are 9-12. And to find out what grade you'll be in, you'll take his I.Q test, and depending on how smart you are, will determine your grade level." Nurse Stacey says.
"Okay, when do we start, at the school?" I ask.
"In two days, tomorrow, your going to get settled in to your new home. Then, the next day, you'll start school." Nurse Stacey says.
"Do we have to go to school?" James asks.
"Yeah why?" Nurse Stacey says.
"Because, I heard some people say that they're glad their St the hospital because they don't have to go to school, and that school is boring, and....stuff." James says.
"Well, your still going, it's the law." Nurse Stacey says.
"Fine!" James complains.
"Hey, umm, Kali?" James says.
"Yeah, what James?" I ask.
"Can I talk to you for a minute?" James says.
"Sure James!" I say as me and him walk into his hospital room, which is right across from this one.
