Sometimes, we designers, should think before we complain so much.

Yes, it's annoying if a requester does this or that. You have the right to feel what you feel but you should also think about it before huffing and puffing. 

If a requesters asks if his/her request is done an hour later, yeah that's pretty annoying...But if that person asks 2 days later then don't get so annoyed. 

01. A lot of them are new to the MDC 

02. They might not understand how the queue works or if it's even updated?

03. They are just curious as fudge? lol

So, please don't complain how busy your life is. Don't tell me you have 4+ other threads you are in and have homework and afterschool etc...because they do not know that, only you do. How do you expect them know about what's  going though your life if you do not tell them? Did you say you have 3 to 4 other threads, a billion homework, work, team practice, afterschool, projects and finally that your PC time is limited? It's easier to understand something in details then just "oh, I haz busy life".

And btw way....you can't really get mad at these requesters if you haven't told them that you have other threads that you are in...and how you work in terms of the queue for all threads. So, this one requester might think s/he's first in one thread but she's actually 4th in overall since you have other threads to take care of.

And if you are that busy...why bother to be in 4+ threads? If you can manage then that's great, but you don't have a right to complain if a requester asks you 2+ days later if his/her request is done. It's not their fault you are busy and overloaded. 

So if you have a busy ass life but still would love to make graphics, here's what you can do:

I have work, and soon, will be attending college again so, I know I will be very busy. Therefore, I opened a thread/cover book and let requests flow in. I told them I will only work on requests that I like. Also, personally I have decided to focus on only one request at a time, so I don't rush it and make it just the way I like it!

P.S - Do not commit yourself in a group thread if you can not handle it.
