Chapter 15: Homesick
Two Days Later
Ruki"s P.O.V
When I was around Lucy I didn't feel normal. If anything I felt a similar feeling that I felt with Yui and I hated it. The two were so similar and yet so different. If Lucy being angry with me had made me not like her, then I would feel better right? I watched as Lucy walked into the classroom with a stack of papers.
She sat them down in front of me. "Ruki-san, I gathered some of the data and noticed that the flowers are starting to feel down. By the way, the flower had dangled, I learned that it had not been dying but like I said before, it appears to be homesick." I arched a brow.
"So the Hydrangea is homesick."
"Not just the Hydrangea but the boronia anemonifolia, it appears to be sad as well...I sort of feel bad for them." I guess she really did have a heart. I looked away from the paper and seen her worried expression. Shit, why was she doing this to me? "Ruki-San?" I looked away from her.
"I will be coming over after school."
"But you can't-" I looked at her cutting her off.
"Why?" She blushed before she looked away from me.
"I have a meeting-"
"With the gardening club?" She nodded.
"Yeah, I wanted to check up on the members and some of my plants. If they really had feelings, then they might have missed me, this could make me have a chance to make a cross analysis to show that not just the plants we chose had felt emotion but the plants that I have had felt emotion as well." She was smart.
"Then I will be a witness." Her eyes widened.
"But-"
"Are you doubting me?" She shook her head.
"No, it's just-"
"Rin?" Her eyes widened.
"Uh...I...Ruki-san-" She was getting flustered which the class took notice of. Some of the guys glared at me while other's had been distracted by her embarrassed expression.
"I know where the greenhouse is, remember?"
"Fine, meet me in the greenhouse at eight sharp okay?"
"Eight-thirty" She arched a brow making me do it back. She sighed in defeat.
"Fine, eight-thirty"
"Kikuchi-sama is coming." Lucy walked to her seat, along with the rest of the class.
After School
Eight Thirty Am
I stood outside the greenhouse and waited for Lucy who was supposed to meet me here now. Yet she was not here. Soon I had seen a man walking up to us. He had seemed so familiar. I realized that I had seen him at the train station weeks ago when I noticed those maroon eyes.
He had been the man that Lucy had been staring at and so close to tears for. So he must have been- "Ruki-san!" I looked behind the man to see Lucy running toward me. She ran past the man and looked at me with a smile as she caught her breath. "I'm really sorry that I'm late."
