Interview
The Next Day...
Gradient sat up from the bed, as he has been observing what was once his father, as he is now doing...whatever it is that he is doing inside of the Doodle Sphere.
Needless to say, what Ink had become is beyond hideous, beyond monstrous. He is the total embodiment of a nigh-unbeatable nightmare. Gradient and Error, along with Error404, they both can take on him, but Gradient is someone that loves his father immensely, and Error is very slow in getting stronger, as he is still trying to take his time to improve his physical strength, due to the fact that Ink has become this.
It made Gradient stressed and sad, to see the the parent that had took him in when Error turned his back on him, the parent that he raised him, that had taught him everything he knew...had to turn into this. By having to take the soul of an unknown entity. He gripped his hand tightly on his pants, a she felt an anger swelling up inside of him, as well as a feeling of self-loathing. He felt like he would cry at any moment. And while that feeling does get close, ever since he had changed, he has since been unable to cry. He could never cry again, after all that has happened. He will forever hate himself, due to what it is that he has done, what he had brought himself to doing.
He shook his head, as he gripped his head, before a voice spoke out.
"It seems that you still haven't change your mind, Gradient."
Gradient raised his head, and turns to see that it is none other than Alpha.
The sight of Alpha made Gradient sick to his stomach, as he than spoke out.
"Even when I am sent inside of another Multiverse, you still will not leave me alone. How long will it take for you that when I saw no, it's no."
Alpha Sans looks and glares lightly at Gradient, as he than spoke out.
"Why do you still refuse my offer to train you. I can free you from Error404's chains, and make you a perfect protector than Ink already is, as he became nothing but a piss poor excuse of one."
Than, Gradient raised his head, and the pupil flowed purple and the irises glowed red, as he than spoke out.
"The only piss poor excused of a protector is you, Alpha. You are trying to make me a murderer, a killer, and that is not how protectors work. My father, Ink, was already a perfect protector, until you forced him to take the soul, just to make it all stop. I would rather be with Error404 and my father, Error, than he with you. As far as I am considered, you are even more worse than Error404."
This made Alpha angry, as he than tried to punch Gradient, only for Gradient to move away, and hit him with a blue bone attack, hurting him badly.
"AAAGHHHHH!!! YOU...I AM NOT LIKE HIM I...I'm nothing like him."
Alpha said, as he looked at Gradient, who stares back at Alpha with a cold and fury filled expression.
"You can keep on deluding yourself, Alpha...but in the end...you are no different. You only deny it because of pride, and out of stupid belief, and not out of genuine care for others, only for what you envision a protector as being in your own eyes. You mean nothing to me. Now get out of my sight, before you're erased."
He than points his finger upwards, and a Gradient Blaster was summoned in the air, and Alpha vanished, not coming back to Gradient, as he than sighed, and removed the blue bones from the area, before sitting down, and as that happened...a photo slipped out from his coat. Gradient than looks down, and he picks up the photo in his hand, and takes a look at it.
Needless to say, Gradient had a sad expression on his face, as he missed those times when he was with Paperjam, his younger brother, and Drop, his young sister. They're still alive, but he has not seen the both of them in 2 years. He clenched his fist tightly, before letting go, and he than looks up, as he than spoke out.
"I will do whatever it takes to be with you all, and the others. But for now...now...I have a big job to do. And that is making sure that Ink does not find the Book of Eyes, which I have. But I promise...I will be with you all again, no matter what
Elsewhere...
The door to the SCP-7131 area is opened, and a certain blonde doctor came in order to come and see Gradient, as she holds a notepad in her hands, a calm expression present.
And she is not alone. Accompanying her is Director Jones and a friend of hers, simply known as Agent Lawrence.
And Director Zolagmax is also present, as he is shown to be walking with the other 2, a frown of impatience is on his face, and they continued to walk through the corridor, as Lawrence said out loud.
"So...I haven't heard much, but people said that SCP-7131-1 has claimed to have caused a lot of trouble. How had, exactly?"
Director Jones than spoke back to Lawrence.
"A lot. We have tried to contain SCP-7131-1 inside of his containment chamber, even with the use of Reality Anchors. But no matter what we did, it will not keep SCP-7131-1 down, no matter what we do. And even worse is that it had gotten out of containment, in positions where it could have escaped, and yet, didn't decide to go all the way. It is as if it is mocking us at the way we failed at containing it. The 05s are very displeased at the fact that we are unable to contain an SCP, especially one as powerful as 7131-1. And we have no idea why that is the case. Because of this, they suggest that SCP-7131-1 is an Apollyon class of sorts, which is pending.
Lawrence than spoke out.
"Having an Apollyon class is concerning. But why hasn't it tried to escape, if it is that powerful."
Dr. Buck than spoke out.
"Well..that is what we are here to find out."
Dr. Buck continues to look around, and sees 4 doors. Each that is near the end of the hallway, and are very far away from each other. the doors are titled 7131-4, 7131-3, 7131-2, and 7131-1. Through the glass, when it involves 4, she sees a skeleton with a crown of barbed pattern, as well as a hat the resembles a captain, and is at the age of a 15 year old in appearance, despite being rather short. Inside of the 3rd glass window, houses a skeleton that is dark blue in color, with a blocky right arm and a left leg, and has binary code present all over its body. He looks curious, and waves at the 3 that are passing by its containment chamber. Lawrence felt kind enough wave back, and Dr. Buck spoke out.
"Lawrence, don't even think it."
Lawrence stopped, but smiled at SCP-7131-3 smiling at him, happy to meet someone friendly. Than, passing the 2nd glass window was a skeleton of normal color, with black lines coming down the eye socket, and has a very large pen in its hand, as well as having very strange eye lights that change shape and color. He looks at Dr. Buck, but quickly turns around, as Dr. Buck looked at SCP-7131-2. And than...they made it to SCP-7131-1. But this is...confusing...as SCP-7131-1's chamber does not have the lights on for some reason. Director Jones groaned at this.
"Ghhhh...goddamnit. Again with this."
Dr. Buck looks at the glass windows, and sees that...nothing is there, and that is because the lights in the room are off, which made it to dark to see.
"Oh boy. Looks like SCP-7131-1 must have done something to the electricity in his containment chamber."
For the first time, even since SCP-3887, she felt a sense of dread in the air, and she actually does feel it. And the worst part, is that this is before she even sees the SCP, and the fact that he is hiding in the darkness. As if it is waiting for suddenly attack them. But as she looked closely...she does see something. The word, Error, is appearing all over the place, and there is a form of movement that is similar to a glitch on a computer. Dr. Buck than spoke out.
"Is that the SCP? With the Errors all over the place?"
Director Jones nodded his head.
"Yes, of course."
Dr. Buck than sat down, and looked at the containment chamber, and began to look through the file of SCP-7131-1, and looked down at it, as she read through the file. She looks back at the chamber, and sees that he has now moved to a different position, thought it is only slightly away from the position she originally spot the SCP in. She glared a little bit, as she than spoke out.
"It does not seem to be that much of a talkative type. Has anyone tried to interview it before?"
Director Jones than spoke out to Dr. Buck.
"Many have tried to speak to it, but no matter what they did, they could not get any information out of him. Even when some more ruthless doctors used some of the electric shocks to hit the SCP with, he refuses to speak."
This made Lawrence a little uneasy, as he than spoke out.
"Well, why won't he speak? Is the information that he has being that important to not say it."
Dr. Buck than spoke out.
"Perhaps, but I'll find a way to get it out of him. I just need to find a way to do it."
Director Jones nodded his head, as he than spoke out.
"Perhaps, but you should be careful in there, as we have no idea what SCP-7131-1 could do to you."
Dr. Buck than spoke out.
"I am. And besides, I am not afraid of some anomaly that some doctors are unable-"
Before she could finish speaking, the microphone from above that is used to hear the SCPs voice than began to make sounds of distortion
[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]
This hurt their bears a little bit, as they looked at SCP-7131-1's containment chamber, and they saw that a pair of eyes opened up. The yellow eye socket is present, as his red eyes and plus-shaped pupil is shown. The pupil is glowing purple, as SCP-7131-1 than began to speak out.
"L-L-Look. I d-do not have t-t-time to sit here and wait for some stupid int-t-t-terview to come and walk itself to me. If you ha-ha-have a goddamn interview that you need to co-co-come-me to me for, just get inside and make it quick. I don't have all day with you humans."
This caught Dr. Buck and Director Jones by surprise, as they were not expecting for SCP-7131-1 to suddenly hijack the radio from ok the ceiling. Agent Lawrence than raised his gun and spoke out.
"Woah, SCP-7131-1, look, the interview will come, just sit down, or I'll be forced to shoot."
But SCP-7131-1 was not intimidated, and suddenly, the gun glowed blue, before being yanked out of Agent Lawrence's hand, and the gun was suddenly dispersed into pixels, as it is erased from existence. SCP-7131-1 than spoke out.
"You were s-saying?"
This was not what they expected to be able to happen. Apparently, the Reality Anchors, which are able to effect the entire room of the containment cell, have not been able to stop the SCP's abilities from suddenly effecting the stuff from the outside. Dr. Buck looks a little worried, as the light turned on, and the SCP was now shown in person. She has seen many SCPs, but none like this. Just as the files described it, it is a black skeleton at the height of 5'1, with blue rectangles on its cheek. Its left hand has inside of its pocket, and having a white sleeve with eyes on it, as well as the white part of the coat stitched at the ripped part of the bottom of the coat. A stylus is in its hand, as well as a book. But the way that it was looking at him was unnerving. Dr. Buck though that she was the only one to make a stern and cold expression, besides Dr. Numita, her father. But SCP-7131-1...his expression is much more scarier, and barely seems to change it's expression, almost as if he is locked in that expression most of the time. And Dr. Buck than spoke out.
"What he did with Lawrence's gun...he'll erase me...won't he?"
Dr. Buck said, as she kept her voice from making it sound different. But Director Jones spoke out.
"Ever since that he had been contained by the foundation, no. He has destroyed their weapons, but he never destroyed people as of late, which is odd. And he found escape if we wanted to, and we'd be powerless to stop it. And yet, he is staying for some unknown reason."
Dr. Buck than looked at SCP-7131-1, his eye sockets unblinking, and unmoving, as he continues to stare, waiting for one of them to enter. Lawrence than spoke out.
"Looking at this, it is like we are dealing with an unfriendly version of SCP-343."
Director Jones than spoke out.
"Well, you're not wrong."
Dr. Buck than sighed, before holding her notepad tightly, as she than goes to the door, and she hesitated for a little bit, due to the fact that she still has not gotten over her trauma with SCP-3887, which was clearly her biggest mistake yet, making SCP-3887-B angry. But she calms herself, and has a cold glare, before she than used a card to open the door. She than entered, and there...SCP-7131-1 was still present. He turns around, and looks at her straight in the eyes. And despite being shorter, he's surprisingly very intimidating. He does not make a sound, but SCP-7131-1 than spoke out before Dr. Buck could even think of anything to say.
"So...you finally decided to come with the interview, human?"
Dr. Buck was a little bit on edge at the way he spoke out to her. It was little like a younger Dr. Numita, except that SCP-7131-1 sounded much more colder, and does not seem to be concerned over anything that is around him.
"I am, SCP-7131-1. I am Dr. Buck, and I will be the to oversee any experimentation you will be involved in. If you have any questions, ask them now."
Gradient, however, didn't make an expression, nor did he ask a question, but he closes his eyes and sighed a little bit in annoyance, as he than spoke out.
"Let's just get to the point, and get the questions over with on your side. I've already had enough interviews to be going along with already."
Dr. Buck didn't nod, but even so, she is surprised at the way the SCP is behaving. She has heard that the SCP is cold, but not this cold. But he also sees that he has some form of exhaustion in his eyes, as if he wants to sleep right now and be free from all of the troubled that had burdens his mind for so long. She sits down on a chair, but SCP-7131-1 does not make a sudden movement.
"Alright...Many of the Foundation have been curious as to why you have not been escaping, even though you could have escaped and be free from the Foundation."
SCP-7131-1 was silent for a minute, before he than spoke out.
"Isn't it obvious? You have my brothers in containment. I cannot simply leave without them. If they are unable to escape, even though I myself am able to, than the best I could is to simply make sure the you humans have done no harm to them."
Dr. Buck nodded her head, but she knows better than that.
"Is that the only reason?"
SCP-7131-1 than spoke back with a hint of annoyance.
"I do, but that reason is not something that I'll easily talk about."
Dr. Buck than looks at SCP-7131-1 with a solid glare.
"And why is that?"
Gradient lowered his head, and did a glare of his own, as he spoke out.
"The other reason as to why I still stay here, has far to valuable information. Not to mention the reason is much more personal than even you think, and giving you information as to why would be a disaster waiting to happen."
Dr. Buck than spoke out.
"You should realize that I am persistent in getting information, and I will not stop until I get the information that the foundation needs to know."
But SCP-7131-1 spoke back.
"I do not care, if you or any of the other humans are persistent or not. I am not going to answer, because I have no clue as to what you will do with the information that you would gain through me."
Dr. Buck than spoke back.
"Why does that concern you?"
SCP-7131-1 than spoke out.
"Information can be used for anything, depending on the people who know about it. You could use it to help me or my brothers, but it can also be used to kill or torment those that have knowledge of the ones that I know of, and in my case, you could use the information to kill me or my brothers, or do something that would be terribly agonizing for them. No, I will not tell the Foundation anything. I do not care how many times that they would ask, or how many times you ask, human, I am not going to answer."
Dr. Buck huffed a little, annoyed that the SCP is refusing to answer, but she could tell that he is very distrustful at the Foundation. So she decides to answer another question.
"There is another question. We have cameras on, we hear you talking to something. What was it that you were taking you?"
This caught SCP-7131-1 by surprise, briefly, but he immediately turned back into a cold-faced expression, as he spoke out.
"Let's just say it was a certain mistake that I made. Because of something that I had done...I am able to see someone that no one else could see, unless a special requirement is made. And because of this, I have a entity in the form of a ghost that will not leave me alone, and is constantly annoying me."
SCP-7131-1 turned around, and glared a little bit at a wall. But Dr. Buck could not tell if he is looking at whatever it was that he is exposed to, or simply the thought to mentioning the entity is making him angry. She wrote it down, and spoke out.
"Alright...do you remember the G.O.C?"
SCP-7131-1 than spoke out.
"How could I forget? I met them and had to fight for me and my brothers lives, all in an effort to destroy me. Why do you ask?"
Dr. Buck than spoke out to SCP-7131-1.
"The G.O.C mentioned that you and SCP-7131-2, 3, 4, and you had appeared in a sudden flash of light. Where did you come from, and how did you even get here?"
SCP-7131-1 frowned a little, as his eyes glowed slightly, before speaking out.
"Where me and my brothers came from...does not matter. But...how we got here...honestly, that is what I want to know. But I remember seeing it while I was in a middle of a fight of sorts, alongside my brother and a couple other people. Other than that, it is Al that I know, because everything was happening way to fast, and I was focused in the situation that I am in to know what had happened."
Dr. Buck than spoke out.
"And what was the fight about?"
But SCP-7131-1 than spoke out.
"That is not important for me to say it."
Dr. Buck, however, than spoke out, and ended up doing the very mistake that got her in a bad spot with SCP-3887.
"Why, because of the fact that it will make your so-called 'brothers' unhappy of whatever secret that you hide?"
But SCP-7131-1 than ended up verbally insulting back at Dr. Buck, while also being sarcastic. But the tone he used is oddly more quieter, and more menacing.
"No, because I do not have the room to talk about about some stupid unnecessary problems with some pesky insignificant annoyances like you."
This surprised Dr. Buck. Although she was well aware of how cold she is, her insults usually make other SCP's stressed, or, in SCP-3887-B's case, angry enough to make Dr. Buck cry. But SCP-7131-1 simply just insulted back, and all without losing his calm. That is not something that she sees everyday, but she also heard the different tone of voice that SCP-7131-1 has used, and realizes that she just may have began to start something, and immediately acts careful in watching her words. And the way he called her and the other researchers, insignificant...well..it really struck a nerve...as her arms shook, but she remained calm.
"Okay...and...do you mind if I can ask you a 3 more questions?"
SCP-7131-1 looked at Dr. Buck, before he rolled his eye sockets, and spoke out in his usual cold and annoyed tone.
"What is it?"
Dr. Buck than spoke out to SCP-7131-1.
"Do you mind if we can ask your brothers about some information on their end?"
SCP-7131-1 signed, as he than spoke out.
"You can, but it highly doubt you'll get what you want, with all the information that they have, since they were not exposed to that problem that you are referring to as much as I have."
Dr. Buck took note of this and spoke out.
"There is something that I am wondering. The other SCPs introduced their names...but why is it that you did not introduce your name?"
SCP-7131-1 had a look that has said, 'wow, are you seriously going to ask a stupid question like that, even though it is not important to you?' But he than spoke out.
"That...is for a reason that I cannot talk about. I don't mind being called whatever I want, but I do not ask about my name, simply because I do not care what other people call me."
Dr. Buck nodded, but she feels like there is a reason that he does not want to talk about. But she than spoke out the last question that SCP-7131-1 didn't think that she would spoke out.
"I also want to know...why is it that you do not seem like the other instances of SCP-7131? From what I have heard, they are said to be kind, and yet...you...you are different. Why is it?"
SCP-7131-1 looks down, as he remembered everything that has lead him to act the way he is at this point. He looks down...and Dr. Buck could see that his hands are clenched, and his fists are shaking. Obviously...she shouldn't have said that.
"You...do not...want to know."
The way he spoke out...it was...oddly scary. He is still speaking calmly, but his voice contains a venomous tone that she has never heard any SCP use. SCP-3887-B gets close, because of the fact that it is simply enjoying in leaking her fear out. But SCP-7131-1...his tone is of pure venomous rage, that he himself can somehow contain. Dr. Buck than stood up, and spoke out.
"Well...good day to you, SCP-7131-1. We will finish the rest later...but I am not going to give up on the information you have. I will find a way to know what you have in your mind.".
SCP-7131-1 simply turns around and glares at her in a scary way. Not even the most cold and ruthless doctors can match that, and he than spoke out.
"You can try, human."
This made Dr. Buck annoyed, as she than spoke out.
"Can you at least call me by my name? I already told you."
But SCP-7131-1 spoke back.
"I don't care about your name. It does not matter to me, Human. It is not important in the way that I see it. In fact...I don't care about what you humans think, do, or the fact that you are all here. You humans, mean nothing to me."
Dr. Buck sighed, as it is obvious that the SCP will not in life, but she left, and closed the door. Leaving SCP-7131-1 inside of his room.
With Dr. Buck, she walks up to Director Jones and Lawrence, and spoke out.
"How did it go?"
Dr. Buck sighed, as she than spoke out.
"I only gained some new information, but SCP-7131-1 refuses to oblige on anything else. The SCP will not move and speak out what information that he has."
Director Jones than spoke out.
"Well...is there anything that he did say?"
Dr. Buck than nodded her head.
"Well...it told me that it's 'brothers' do have some information, but highly doubts it is what we want.l
Director Jones looks down, and then spoke.
"Well...than it is best to move on to the others. Okay, Dr. Buck, which one to you want to start next to."
Dr. Buck than turned around to the door that says, 7131-2. It seems that she knows where to go to next, and interview SCP-7131-2, and hope that the information that it has is even slightly useful.
