Chapter 5 (IMPORTANT AUTHORS NOTE)

Oh and I believe I mentioned it before how the language was like Japanese and English combined? Well, let say that actual Japanese in the OKH work is called 'Yapanese' No lie though, in the manga they say Yapan instead of Japan.

Enjoy and read the Authors Note (please read) after this chapter.

Lumier's POV:

"Hey, where are we going?" The cleaned up, and slightly moody (I think he's sulking), newly named Lyon Vasilios asked with a glare (A neverending glare)

'Oh, he is definitely sulking I thought, knocking down the urge to pet him. If I did, I might possibly lose a hand (But it would it be worth it...? The question of the century!) or be bitten to death. Probably both.

"We're dropping off a letter." I said with my never-changing good guy smile.

He raised an eyebrow, "Can't you just get your family's many servants to do such a mundane task?"

"Your so cold, you should apologize to every servant in our palace, they work really hard you know. They have to deal with things like work, more work, just work, mainly just work, some bird purposely going to the bathroom on their head, etc, etc." I frowned with pouty indignation.

"Wait, what was the last part?" Leon gave a double wide-eyed glance.

"Etc, etc?" This prince will play the fool.

"Did you just say birds going to bathrooms on...." The black-haired boy slowly grew pale.

My chuckle purposely turned a tad darker, "Aren't you glad I made you my aide?" I looked at my vict--I mean Lyon with narrowed eyes and a sly--I mean comforting smile on my lips.

Lyon backed away into the corner of the carriage, pushing against the carriage walls as if trying to get as far away from me as possible, he held his fists in front of himself, "T-Threat..." He muttered out-loud while shaking.

"Hm, I like to think of it as a possible outcome. It could happen to anyone." I spared the poor boy as I looked out with my head leaning against my hand. I was preparing myself for an encounter.

Excitement was playing with my nerves, but I don't dare let it show. (Such undignified behavior for a prince...though I can't say the same for my future brothers).

There was a peaceful silence, only the trotting from the horses could be heard as well as the sweet voices of nature as we were currently riding through a forest.

"...What are my duties as an aide?" Lyon asked after a while, not letting his guard down around me.

My eyes transferred from the outside view to his tense form. I smiled bitterly. It truly is sad, that this child probably never had a proper childhood and will not get one even by my side.

"In textbook definition: An assistant to an important person. In this case, your duties lie in a wide field, really anything as long as it assists me." Well, there aren't a whole lot considering I'm only four.

"Don't worry, I won't ask anything out of your range of abilities, its not like I'm a high-ranking, snot-nosed, pompous, duke or anything." I close-eyed smile at him.

'Your the second prince known as a prodigy of one of the most powerful countries in the world which is much higher ranking then a duke!' Lyon's annoyed face screamed out.

"You'll also be my guard, and at the palace you will join me in my training. I need to be careful and prepared as there are some cruel and greedy people out there." I sighed as I nodded to myself.

Third's POV:

"You'll also be my guard, and at the palace you will join me in my training. I need to be careful and prepared as there are some cruel and greedy people out there." The Second Prince of Granzierch sighed as he nodded to himself with a hint of graceful sadness.

Lyon's face twitched as his eyes glared with more annoyance and hate, 'Your sitting in the same carriage, unguarded with an assassin who nearly killed your father!'

Cooco, who was observing from the carriage window was shaking his small white head in pity for the assassin monkey brat. 'The prince is obviously teasing.' The proof was in Lumier's left hand which was out of the assassin's sight and was trembling with suppressed laughter.

"Godspeed." The bird chirped, eyes full of pity as he looked at Lyon. Lumier hid a snort. Barely. The trained assassin probably still noticed it. Except the said assassin was glaring at the dove.

'Why...Why do I feel like I'm being pitied by this fat bird that looks more like a chicken then a dove?!' Lyon could not understand the sudden irritation he felt towards the dove which looked like it was praying for him.

"Lyon."

The called assassin twitched at the unfamiliar name. His new name. Lyon. Lyon Vasilios. It sounded like a noble name, given to him by a prince of all people....It gave him conflicted feelings.

"Hn?" The assassin gave a rude sound.

The prince smiled as his eyes opened to reveal a brilliant gold. It held a hint of honesty that made the assassin feel as if all the previous close-eyed smiles given before were, perhaps not entirely fake, but purposely lacking.

"...Yoroshiku onegaishimasu." The prince sat up straight and gave Lyon a deep bow.

Lyon's eyes widened as his mouth gaped slightly in shock. "Y..You..." His voice wanted to say something his mind could not comprehend--No, wouldn't allow. A royal bowing to a commoner, such an act was never heard of in this time.  Instead, the assassin covered a hand over his mouth and looked away with narrow eyes, not daring to have eye-contact with the Second Prince anymore.

Lumier slowly sat back up from his bow, a considerate look in his eyes. 'So this little kid does understand Japanese, well I guess in this world its called Yapanese.'

Interesting.

'"Yoroshiku onegaishimasu" defines a lot of things, it can mean various meanings: "Be kind to me. I am in your debt. Please help me. Nice to meet you. I'm counting on you. Please take care of me."'

'I wonder which definition he thinks I meant.' Lumier looked out the window to see a large flock of doves, one separating from the flock and flying down. It was Cooco.

"Big Boss!-('Big boss?' Lumier's mind repeated)-My famiglia ('Famiglia..?') is ready! We're nearing the destination!"

'Destination...Oh...shoot.' Lumier felt nervous once more.

He felt embarrassed in a way. 'I'm a prince right now and I was a world famous celebrity in my previous life. Why am I feeling nervous?' Lumier hid his slightly shaking hands behind him so that Lyon wouldn't notice (Though Lyon was still in daze/brooding to notice)

'Probably because you really didn't care about how your fans saw you. You're nervous because this is one of the rare moments where you actually care what the other person thinks of you.--Quiet conciousne--Oh wait, that was actually useful information.'

Lumier took a deep breath before sitting up straighter, combing his fingers through his hair and smoothing out any wrinkles in his clothes 'You're acting like a high school girl meeting her first cr--Don't push your luck consciousness.'

Cooco gave a screech which snapped Lyon back into the attention as Lumier finished calming his heart.

"Lyon, untie your end of the curtain." The blonde-haired prince ordered his aid, his own hands untying the cords holding back the curtains.

Lyon eyes held an uncaring and slightly confused glint but did as he was told and untied the cords on his end.

The curtains flowed down on the windows of the carriage, blocking the light and the view. The inside of the carriage got much darker to the point it was difficult to make out the colours.

Lyon's assassin trained eyes easily got use to the sudden lack of light, actually relaxing a bit more in the comforting familiar darkness. He looked at the prince who looked like he was waiting for something.

The carriage then slowed down as the horses went from a trot to slow walking. "Your highness, our destination is in sight." Ristor's calm and smooth voice sounded from outside the carriage.

Lyon's eyes flashed slightly in the darkness in interest of the place the prince wanted to go to. Lyon remembered how the lunatic guard looked surprised making the assassin come up to the conclusion that this sudden trip was only known by the prince himself.

Meanwhile, the said prince, had his eyes closed and was giving himself a mental pep talk. 'You done this more than anyone, its engraved in your instinct...Right. Now that I think about it, the one thing I really enjoyed about being a celebrity....Was giving overdramatic, and totally unnecessarily flashy entrances.'

The carriage came to a full stop. "Your highness, we have arrived at Maria Vetsera Church."

'... As they say, first impressions are everything.' Lumier opened his eyes, the brilliant gold flashing in the dark as if glowing.

.

.

.

'Actually, did I remember the saying wrong...?' Lumier off-handedly wondered (A/N: What is the saying again...?)

At Maria Vetsera Church...

Still Third POV:

"And that's the end of my lesson. You are dismissed." A certain small red-haired teacher said in a stoic voice as he closed his textbook.

The children laughed as some thanked the teacher while others ran out with toys to play with. The teacher couldn't blame them, it was a beautiful day outside.

"Thank you, Heine-sensei!" A small girl with brown pigtails ran up and hugged her teacher's waist before running out to play with the rest of her friends.

"Ever so popular, aren't you Heine?"

"I was wondering how long you would stay there Viktor. What brings your presence here once again?" Heine Wittgenstein turned around to see Viktor walk out of the shadow.

'The I've-been-hiding-in-the-shadow-the-entire-time technique. Most impressive.' A thought passed through Heine's head before disappearing.

"Why look so surprised? The letter I sent said I would be here after your lesson." Viktor knew Heine well enough to tell what emotions passed through the ever stoic face of the child-sized teacher.

"Eh? A lett-"

"I wanted to take a breath of peaceful air after coming back from XXX Country."

"Wait, Viktor-"

"I would have come sooner but my adorable son Lumier was begging me to rest. It wasn't even a fatal gunshot wound--"

"Gunshot?! Viktor...." A dark aura rose behind Heine. "What kind of a stupid adult for a king sneaks outside the palace alone with a gunshot wound?!"

"Aw~ Don't worry Heine, it wasn't fatal and I brought my horse with me so it's fine! They think I'm resting so they won't notice, I'll get back before they would check on me."

Heine sighed before face-palming, "I thought this childish behaviour died down after your coronation. You can't afford to be this relaxed anymore, Viktor. Especially considering the state of war this country is currently in."

Viktor smiled, "I understand. I'll be more careful in the future." The king knew that he will have to soon let go of the freedom he had in the past for the sake of his country and his own children. 'But I would never regret it because a safe place for my people and my children is what I desire more than anything.' It was his and Heine's dream after all.

Still, he mentally waved his freelance life as a rebellious prince away with shining tears.

Heine's hand fell back from his forehead to his chin and narrowed his eyes. "That aside, I never received the letter you were speaking of."

The King of Granzrierch body tensed as his eyes also narrowed with a flash of seriousness. 'There was an assassination attempt, no doubt that someone is behind it...Could the letter be intercepted?'

Luckily, it wasn't an important one containing any serious information. In fact, the message itself was very short.

"I'm dropping by after your lesson. Teehee."

- Viktor. (BIG SMILEY FACE WITH A CROWN)

Really, there probably wasn't a need to send that short of a message, but Viktor thought that if Heine had a heads up, whatever scolding or lecture Viktor would receive would be less fierce by 10%. Completely worth it. (Though in reality, Heine would probably be annoyed at his King's immaturity and toss the letter into the firepit.)

"Hm..." Viktor's fingers touched his chin as he thought. "Perhaps it--"

"HEINE-SENSEI!"

"SENSEI!"

"THERE'S A CARRIAGE!"

"IT HAS THE ROYAL CREST!"

"HEINE-SENSEI"

Suddenly a group of children bulldozed Heine over. Viktor wondered is he should help but Heine should have plenty of experience of being cushioned on the ground with a pile of children on top of him completely unaware. (Aw, the good old days of sleeping in sewers and stealing from annoying nobles Viktor still haven't gotten the chance to get rid of. Kufufu. Now there was a memo for thought.)

Viktor could feel Heine's burning gaze from the ground. 'You came in a royal carriage? You can't be this careless!' His glaring eyes said.

Viktor smiled innocently--because he actually was innocent for once. 'I didn't.'

As childish as Viktor pretended to be, he was the King of Granszierch. He knew very well which line he shouldn't cross. (He made it after all)

But now there was a question. Who was outside? 'It can't be Eins, he is at the academy...Royal Mother? But--'

The answer soon came.

"Announcing his Royal Highness, Second Prince Lumier Von Granzierch." A low voice announced.

~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~

It's been a while.

Honestly, this chapter wasn't supposed to be out because I was planning to add more but I thought I should release something to let you guys know that I'm still alive and still writing.

I'm really thankful to those readers who still think about my old stories and stick with me despite my lag between updates. I was planning to update a lot during the summer but I spent most of it finishing a language class online that's been stressing me out for nearly 2 years. It's been hanging over my head like a guillotine. But I'm finally done.

My last two official business/responsibility is to meet up with my friends who I feel like I've been neglecting because of school/busy life and go on a church retreat camp.

From August 12-15 I won't be connected to any wifi or electronics so just heads up. But when I get back, I can finally FINALLY actually have time to work on my fanfics.

There is going to be a lot of editing and rewriting of chapters and possibly even rearranging the plot. Some fanfics from years ago are so cringy to me, I have no idea how to continue them.

For example, my Brothers Conflict fanfic. I'm still into Brothers Conflict surprisingly, and I still want to write a fanfic about it. But the current fanfic makes no sense to me whatsoever (Like what was Neko1290 back then even thinking for the plot?!) so honestly that is probably going to be a guaranteed rewrite.

If you are following my profile, you might have seen that I've been talking about Detective Conan. I'm definitely thinking about those fanfics.

I've been also thinking of new ones that are actually done but in the draft section because I don't want to publish too many new stories without at least progressing a bit on my old ones (Though I will hint: "I AM HERE!")

I know what it's like to wait for your favourite authors to update fanfic that you just love. I think in my case, I'm just surprised that people still like my fanfics. (But I'm really flattered and grateful).

Ok. Serious talk over. That was uncomfortable and relieving for me to write.

As I said, I'm going to a no-electronic camp for 4 days and once I'm back, I'll have free time (for once in like 2 years) to write. Hope you guys will like the new updates (My writing style as changed in my opinion)

On a more brighter note, here's the song from Oushitsu Kyoushi Haine Movie! (I love the song. I hope they make season 2 for OKH so I can have more inspiration. Or at least continue translating the manga). I might add the movie inside this fanfic ;) (Only because I love the twins, especially Eugene--His voice is drop-dead gorgeous)

Comments are always nice, makes me feel closer to the readers~

Until next time,
