Thankfully there had been no major damage done to Solo's shoulder. We had just arrived back to my place and Solo was helping me unload our bags out of the car while I got the twins and took them inside.

It was already late, after almost 8 hours worth of driving in addition to two hours in the doctors office, I was beyond exhausted and ready to curl up in bed. Thankfully the twins were asleep and probably wouldn't wake up for a few hours. I carefully took them out of their car seats and put them into their cribs. I waited for a bit to make sure they stayed asleep before walking to my own room.

As I'm changing into my pajamas, Solo brings the bags into the bedroom and puts them near the closet. As I sat at my vanity and took my makeup off, he wraps his arms around me and gently kisses my cheek.

"What do you want for dinner?" He asks

"I'm not going to eat, I'm exhausted,"

"You gotta eat love. Please?"

"Can I take a nap while you cook?" I ask

"Of course Ash, I just don't want you to go to bed without eating,"

He picks me up and carries me out to the living room

"Solo put me down before you hurt yourself,"

"You heard the doctor Ash, my shoulder is fine,"

He carefully lays me down on the couch before kissing my lips.

"Go ahead and nap a little bit beautiful, I'm going to make dinner,"

I couldn't sleep. I could tell that he was making one of my favorite meals just by the smells coming from the kitchen.

After a while, I got up and walked into the kitchen, carefully wrapping my arms around his waist

"Couldn't sleep?" He asks as he stirs the pasta on the stove.

"No, the smell of food kept me awake,"

"I'm making your favorite," he says

"I know, I could smell it,"

He laughs and turns away from the stove,"you sure you're not pregnant again? Your sense of smell has been insane recently,"

"I know I'm not pregnant. I just started my period," I say

"Damn so I'm not getting lucky tonight?"

"As long as I don't fall asleep right after dinner I can take care of you,"

"I was just joking Ash. I'm content with just cuddling with you,"

"Until you get hard, then you get all handsy,"

"I'm not going to do anything besides snuggle with you. I want to hold my girl,"

"Oh I'm your girl huh?" I ask

"You've always been mine. You know I never stopped loving you Ash,"

"I know, but you haven't officially asked me to be your girlfriend yet,"

He smiles, "I love you Ashley. Will you be my girlfriend?"

I pretend to think about it for a bit, "I love you too baby, yes I'll be your girlfriend,"

He hugs me tightly and kisses my lips, "Finally I get to call you mine again,"

Our moment was disturbed by crying coming through on the baby monitor. Solo releases the hug and I walk to the nursery.

"Shh it's okay Lani," I say, gently picking her up. I carry her into the kitchen where Solo was plating our dinners

"Aww what's wrong princess?" He asks

"I'll put her in her high chair and she can have dinner with us,"

"Is she allowed to have pasta" he asks

I nod, "I will cut it up into little pieces for her. If Kona wakes up we'll offer him some too,"

As soon as I put the plate down in front of her she puts her hands into the pasta. Within a few minutes it was everywhere but her mouth

"Don't worry babe I'll clean up, I know you're exhausted,"

"You made dinner though, it's my job to clean up,"

He gently kisses me, "I don't mind. As soon as Lani is be back asleep I'll come in and cuddle with you,"

I woke up around 3 am, and Solo wasn't in the bed. I quietly left the room. The living room light was still on and I could hear the TV playing some baby cartoons.

I quietly walk into the living room and see Solo on the couch trying to comfort both babies as they softly cried. I could tell how exhausted he was by the look on his face as he tried to comfort them.

I sit down next to him and gently take Lani from his arms.

"I don't know what's wrong with them, they haven't stopped crying for a few hours now," Solo says

"They've been fed, and changed right?" I ask

He nods, "That was the first things I did l,"

I gently rocked Lani in my arms and quietly sang to her. The twins almost immediately stop crying and focus their eyes on my face.

Once they were both asleep, we carefully walked into the nursery and laid them in their cribs.

"Go ahead and lay down babe, once I know they're going to stay asleep I'll join you," I whisper.

Solo leaves the room and I sit in the rocking chair for a few minutes until I know the babies are asleep.

I quietly leave the room and go back into my room. For the first time since the night the babies were born, Solo and I were going to be sleeping in my bed together. In 9 months this was only the third time we'd be sharing a bed.

I laid down beside him, my back facing him as I curled up into a fetal position cuddling with my body pillow. I didn't want to let on how bad my cramps were this month, especially since I knew he was exhausted.

"What's wrong Ash?" He asks

"Nothing, why?" I hated lying to him but I didn't want him to be worried about me.

"You only lay like that when you're in pain,"

"I'm fine babe, I promise,"

His arm wraps around me and he gently rubs my stomach until he falls asleep. I lay there in his arms unable to sleep. After a while I carefully moved out of his grasp. I had barely taken two steps when Solo started to stir

"What's wrong babe?" He asks

"I'll be back, go back to sleep love,"

I went into the bathroom down the hall from my room and got into the tub and. filled it with hot water. I pulled my knees to my chest as I tried to relax.

I heard the bathroom door open and footsteps coming inside. Solo gets down beside the tub and sits next to me.

"I knew something was wrong," he says

"I didn't want you to worry about me, I wanted you to sleep babe,"

"I want to sleep holding my girlfriend,"

"Sorry, it's just really hard for me to get comfortable right now. I've been cramping really bad since I woke up,"

"What can I do to help?"

"I don't know, I've never had anyone help me through the cramps.

"Well now you do. I'll get you some medicine. Get dressed and come back to bed, I'll rub your back or stomach to try and make you feel better,"

I carefully got up and drained the water from the tub. I carefully dried off and got dressed as I waited for Solo to come back.

"Here you go love," he says, handing me some ibuprofen and a bottle of water. "Let's go back to bed," he says carefully leading me back into the bedroom.

I sat on the bed and started to lay down, but Solo pulled me into his lap as his hands start massaging my lower back and hips.

"Let me know if it hurts and I'll stop," he says

"It feels good, it's actually helping a little," I say.

He keeps going, moving his hands around to my stomach and pelvic region. I started to feel my body relaxing and the pain easing up a little. Solo could tell that my body was beginning to relax and carefully laid me down on the bed. His arm wraps around my stomach as he continues to gently massage my stomach until my eyes get heavy enough that I start to fall asleep.

"Goodnight beautiful," he whispers as I fall asleep in his arms
