I spent the next afternoon in Romans room. We were cuddled up watching tv after our afternoon of fun.

"Hey Ash?"

"Yeah?"

"You okay? You seem like something is bothering you,"

I sigh, "it's complicated,"

"Is it Solo?"

I nod, "I still love him, but I'm terrified of getting hurt again,"

"I know it's hard because you're around each other so much, but take your time, give yourself a chance to forgive him. Make him show you what you mean to him,"

"He's done a pretty good job with showing me. He hasn't stopped since Tama announced it,"

"I think he's just scared to lose you,"

"He almost did,"

"Just take things slow, I don't want to see you get hurt again,"

"I am. He's just making it hard,"

I snuggle into Roman's chest for a while before I get up and go back to mine and Solo's room to feed the babies.

"Hey beautiful," Solo says

"Are the babies awake? I need to feed them,"

"Not yet. You okay? You look a little stressed out,"

"Yeah, I guess I'm still trying to process everything,"

"Wanna talk about it?" He asks

I sigh,"I guess I'm still just scared about us. I don't want to become emotionally attached again to get my heart broken all over again,"

"I know it's going to take a while before you trust me, but I promise I'm never going to break your heart again. I love you Ash. You, Lani and Kona mean everything to me,"

"I just need some time to process things and trust you again. But I do want to try and fix things between us at some point,"

Solo smiles, "I want that too. Until your ready, I'm going to keep showing you how much you mean to me,"

"You do a great job of that,"

"What made you decide to give me another chance in the future?"

"You never gave up. You keep showing me how much you love me and how badly you want me to be in your life. You also showed me how important the kids are to you when you showed up to their birth even though I had been a complete bitch to you,"

"I deserved it though,"

"You still showed up, and you helped me through the worst pain I've ever experienced,"

"That was hard to watch. Seeing the girl you love going through excruciating pain,"

"I couldn't have done it without you. Thank you for being there,"

"I wasn't going to miss it Ash. No matter how bad you hated me,"

"I think they're finally awake,"

Solo gets up out of the bed and brings Kona over to me before going back to get Lani. He gets the twins situated on my lap before I help them latch on.

"Are you hungry? I can order us some lunch," he asks

"Not really, I have to finish feeding the babies before i try to pump,"

"Why aren't you pumping first?"

"So we don't have to hear crying babies until I have enough for a bottle,"

"Good point, Lani usually doesn't eat much, so you'll be able to pump on one side,"

"Kona does though. Sometimes he nurses for half an hour,"

"How long does Lani usually nurse for?"

"Probably about half of what he does. Sometimes I worry she's not getting enough,"

"I'm sure she's fine Ash,"

"See?  She stopped nursing after only a few minutes,"

"She looks happy to me. If she was still hungry she'd let us know,"

"Sorry, I just want to be enough for them,"

"You're more than enough for our kids, and for me,"

He takes Lani from my arm and gently burps her before changing her diaper and laying her down.

As soon as Kona was done, Solo took him and did the same thing.. while he was changing Kota, I got up and walked into the bathroom to take a shower and get my pajamas on.

As soon as I got out and went back into the bedroom, Solo wraps his arms around me and hugs me.

"I love you Ash,"

"Wanna take a nap together while the babies are asleep?"

Solo smiles, "that sounds perfect,"

I woke up hours later to Solo gently rocking Lani in his arms. I sat up and rubbed my eyes.

"Is she okay?"

He nods, "I'm just spending time with my little princess. I already fed her, burped her and changed her,"

"Did she take the bottle okay?"

"Yeah she had no problem with it,"

"I have a feeling Kona is going to fight us on it,"

"Probably. Are you sure you want to switch to pumping and bottle feeding?"

"It would be easier because you can help with the middle of the night feeds,"

"That's true. I don't think you've slept more than 3 hours at a time since they've been here,"

"I haven't. I didn't realize how hard and demanding it would be,"

He gently kisses the top of my head, "You're doing an amazing job Ash. I know it's been hard, but the babies love you, and so do I."

I start to tear up a little bit, "Thank you. I can't tell you how many days I've questioned whether or not I've been a good enough mother to them,"

"You've been an amazing mom. Kona and Lani are lucky to have you,"

I hug him tightly, gently kissing his cheek "Thank you Solo,"

"Can I take you out for dinner tonight, just the two of us?"

"What about the babies?"

"My brothers said they'd watch them,"

"I don't know, I haven't really been apart from them since they've been born,"

"Or if you want, I can get us dinner and bring it back here. Then you don't have to leave the kids behind,"

"Is this a date?"

"It's whatever you want it to be Ash,"

I think about it for a second, "Can we just stay here? I'm afraid that Kona won't take a bottle from your brothers and I really don't want to be in the middle of eating and get a phone call,"

Solo smiles, "That's perfectly fine Ash. I'll go get us dinner, I'll be back in a little bit,"

"What are you getting?"

"You'll see,"

Solo comes back about 45 minutes later with food from one of my favorite restaurants. Longhorn. I sat on the bed and finished giving Kona his bottle.

"He actually took a bottle?" Solo asks

"Not without a fight,"

Solo laughs, "Little man is just like his daddy,"

"Both of you are stubborn as hell,"

As soon as Kona finished his bottle, Solo carefully took him to burp him and change him

"Go ahead and eat before your food gets cold,"

"What about you?"

"I'll eat as soon as I lay him down,"

I smile realizing how much Solo paid attention to details. He remembered how I like my steak cooked, what my favorite sides are and even remembered my favorite drink.

"You good?" He asks as he sits down at the table across from me

I nod, "it just makes me happy how you remember all the little details."

"Of course I do. I have a note saved in my phone with your favorites from any restaurant we've eaten at. That way I can surprise you,"

I reach out and hold his hand across the table, "You know, I think this date is the best one yet,"

"Why's that?"

"Because I'm surrounded by all of the people I love. Kona, Lani and you Solo"

He gently squeezes my hand,"I love you too Ash,"
