"Now remember what I told you my precious son." Tamaki says with a glint in his eyes as he grips on to Kaoru's shoulder. Kaoru is fighting off the urge to roll his eyes at his "father".

"Yeah yeah I know I'm not a kid." He says finally falling into the temptation of rolling his eyes. Although Tamaki pretends not to notice though. Instead Tamaki flattens down Kaoru's hair to make him look "proper" in his terms. Kaoru doesn't like that. So he decides to fix his hair once Tamaki leaves.

"So my little Kaoru's first date." Hikaru says trying to make it sound as a mean joke, but Kaoru is his twin so he knows that Hikaru is forcing himself. Kaoru hugs his brother.

"Don't worry Hikaru. I know it feels strange doing something on my own, but I promise I will tell you how it all went with Taylor." Kaoru reassures Hikaru with a light squeeze to his shoulders. Hikaru seems to relax at his brothers reassurance. He gives him a smile and puts his hands on his shoulders. They communicate everything they needed to say through their bond.

"Hey Hikaru! Kaoru! Are you two ready yet?" Haruhi says a little annoyed with the fact that she can't wait to have this ball over and done with.

"We're going!" They say with waves of their hands. Haruhi is thinking about something and she makes up her mind once she closes the door behind her.

"Kaoru Hitachiin! I swear if you dare hurt Taylor Ann in any way I will hurt you ten times worse!" She warns him as both twins cling to each other looking for some safety from this beautiful demoness. They both nod their heads even though Haruhi was only talking with Kaoru. She smiles warmly at them then and motions for them to get going already. Once the door is between them and Haruhi they sigh in relief. When they reach the ball room the music suddenly stops and they hear gasps and murmurs. Most of them either positive or from jealous girls.

Once the Hitachiin twins make it to the staircase everyone was looking at in awe. They both look up and their mouths both hang open.

"Wow." Both twins say as they see the most beautiful they had ever seen Taylor. The silky light blue dress moving around her ankles as she goes down the steps like waves in the ocean. It's strapless and molds to her body perfectly. Her short brown hair held together by a beautiful rose pin. She finally makes it down the stairs and is standing face to face with Kaoru. She can't help, but lightly blush at the look she is receiving from Kaoru.

"Wow." Kao says to me and I giggle. "Eh uh s-sorry I mean you look ama- you look beau- no you look gorge-. I'm sorry I have no words to describe how beautifully gorgeous you look right now." I have to laugh out loud at that.

"I think you just did Kao. Anyway your beautifully handsome yourself." I say to him which causes him to laugh too.

"We're dressed alike so that compliment is for me too." Hika says trying to make a joke. Both Kao and I laugh slightly and we also roll our eyes. I take Hika's hand and pet it.

"Yes Hika you too." I say to him which gains me a smile. I smile back. I clear my throat. Wait no not me again it was Kao. I turn to him and see that his hand is stretched out for me. I take it and we stand there for a bit with our fingers aching to intertwine. He pulls me into the dance floor once a slow songs starts up again.

At first we take the regular dancing position. You know one hand of his on my hip while the other is holding my hand. We don't like that so I wrap my arms around his neck and he holds me by my waist with both of his hands. The music should be lovely, but I can't hear it anymore. I'm so lost in Kao's eyes. I think he also feels the same. No one is around us anymore at least not that I care to notice anymore.

"So Haruhi what do you think?" Tamaki asks Haruhi. She adjusts her tie and pretends that having Tamaki close doesn't make her feel anything.

"What do you mean Sempai?" She says as she continues to watch Kaoru and Taylor dancing. Tamaki whimpers a bit.

"I mean how I did teaching Kaoru how to be romantic." He says as Haruhi feels the gloomy aura coming from a distance. She sighs and has to tell him what she thinks.

"Sempai I think Kaoru figured that stuff on his own. You just gave him a push in the right direction." She says to him. That brightens his mood up. He is going for a hug, but she turns her back on him and begins to walk towards Taylor and Kaoru. That's when the aura hits Tamaki and he somehow manages to find his emo corner (no offense to anyone).

I felt like the music didn't last long, but the memories will last a life time. This was the most amazing night of my life. I kind of pictured a kiss between us once we finished dancing, but sadly Haru came at the time it could have happened. I'm not saying she ruined it- okay so maybe she slightly ruined it for me. She gives me an apologetic glance. I give her a glance that says okay I somewhat forgive you.

"Sorry to interrupt you two, but it's time to see which of the girls has to kiss Tamaki." Haru says uncaring, but I know it hurts her. I put my hand to her shoulder trying to reassure her that he only has eyes for her. She smiles lightly at me. We are about to walk off when Kao pulls me back as everyone left the ball room for outside.

"What is it Kao?" I ask him beginning to daydream of what might happen. He smiles at me and pulls out a rose from behind him.

"I wanted to give this to you before." He says as he hands me the rose.

"Oh." I say a little disappointed. Then I smile at him and am about to thank him when he interrupts me with the most amazing and blissfully sweet kiss I have ever felt. The moment our lips make contact I felt like my soul just left my body. I can't help, but give a dreamy sigh once our lips part. We look at each other for a bit. Then Kao puts his arm out for me so we can go see who won the kiss with Tama Sempai.

When we get there we see that Tama Sempai had patted or maybe shoved Haru on the back and she went forward too far a kissed a girl that we were trying to help earlier on to get together with her future husband.

Everyone gasps even Kao and I. Tama Sempai looks like he might die right on the spot. Haru and the girl pull back from each other. The girl's face is flushed as she looks to her fiancee in desperation telling him with her eyes that she didn't mean for that to happen. Although what surprises me is the look on Haru. Kao and Hika put their arms on the shoulders of Tama Sempai who is beat red. Both Hitachiin twins making fun of him. I walk over to Haru.

"Um Haru?" I say not really sure how to phrase my question.

"You know it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be." She says. That causes me to have a hysterical fit of laughter. The others except Tama Sempai of course begin to laugh too.

Then once I sober up a little I say with a light laugh, "Wait Haru wasn't that your first kiss?" I say to her as I giggle some more. She nods her head and we start laughing all over again. I feel an arm go around my waist. I turn to the owner. I smile up at Kao who has a mischievous glint in his eyes.

"What are you thinking Kaoru Hitachiin?" I say as he looks at me with fake innocence.

"What ever could you mean?" He says I roll my eyes.

This might be a very long school year.
