I was outside the apartment complex the next morning, waiting for my target to leave. After I was assured he left, I went to his door and picked the lock to get in. The click resonated softly and I went in, locking it behind me.
I headed straight for the bedroom, knowing exactly what I would find there and needing to find enough to get the guy's ass thrown in prison for life. The bed had a strange, dried liquid on it that I scraped into a tiny vial and corked.
The things I found on the computer were horrible. It's so bad that I refuse to let Scarstorm or Thanatos write about it. I quickly close the application and dig deeper into the guy's life. The computer itself was enough to land him at least two years in jail. But I needed more, so I moved to the closet, where I found a newly bloodied belt. I snapped a photo of it, wiping some blood off and putting the cloth in a plastic bag, and closed the drawer before digging into the pockets of his shirts and pulling out nothing.
My next stop was the kitchen. On the table were documents in folders labeled appropriately. I took photos of each one and their contents. The laptop nearby had a passcode that was hinted at with a sticky note. I grimaced as the code was CREATE. This sick bastard...
Footsteps interrupted my search and I thought fast, turning off the laptop and ducking into a cabinet. My eyes peeped through the crack. I put my phone up and started recording when I noticed he was going for his laptop. I recorded everything he said and did and I hope to God I never have to watch something like it again.
Eventually, he left again with the laptop and I snuck out, expertly locking the door on my way out and escaping the scene.
'It's time for this sick bastard to be brought to justice.' I grinned,' after six years, it's finally time.'
I walked into the hospital hours later and headed up to see Teutonia. I yawned as I opened the door and finally sat down. My work was done, at least until Josh was done, so for now, I needed to prepare for the next stage and fool everyone into thinking I was sick at home. Not even Teu knows about my double life's other side. And I intend on keeping it that way.
My eyes went up to her closed ones as I grasped her hand. ' don't worry, Teu,' I thought to myself,' he won't lay one fucking finger on you anymore.'
