Your POV

Tucking a hair behind my ear, I strut down one of the many corridors within the mansion my family and I lived in, informing my family that I had some certain duties to attend to before I had to turn in for the evening. Sending the maids a friendly smile whenever I passed them. Pushing through decadent halls full of golden mantles, silk curtains covered by velvet to avoid not only prying eyes but the sun for when morning arose. The red carpet beneath me moulding against my tight, pinched pumps, my feet aching with each step I took. The large oak doors leading to each room flitting past me as I head into the library.

Beside me, stood two of my most trusting guards, staying by my side. Both males keeping close to me. Their eyes never leaving my person. Their hands inches away from their sword should anyone dare make a move on me. Creating a facade to trick anyone. Making this look like it was of the norm...

That we weren't hiding anything.

Taking a quick scan of the room, making sure that no one was around, I gently push at one of the 'books'. The guards beside me hiding me from view as one of the bookcases slowly unhinges from the others. A small breath of air leaves the bookcase as it's suctioned away, the case revealing a dark hallway, stairs at the bottom of it. One guard heads through first, allowing me to follow before the other guard slides in and shuts the bookcase. Sliding it back into place as if nothing ever happened.

We head through the hallway, one of the guards holding a torch of fire, stepping down the stairs in a rather hurried pace. The anticipation of the mission, of my goal, that had been created wracking my brain as we edge closer and closer toward the room dedicated to finding my little sister.

Unbeknownst to my family, knowing that if they did find out then I'd possibly be locked in my chambers until my dying day, I had created a sort of agency dedicated to finding my sister. I hired the best of the best. Hackers. Ex spies. Ex Police officers. Detectives.

The hackers, working all hours around the clock, living on coffee. Taking in turns to worry over the high tech computers I had bought (telling my parents it was for my studies), scanning over security cameras, hacking into websites, gathering as much intel as they could on the location of my sister. Detectives taking that information, expanding on it, trying to connect the dots together.

Everyone and everything that I could find who I knew were good enough to help me find them...

I couldn't do this alone. Not when I was merely a child when this happened...

Nodding toward the guard on my left, he pushes the door open, revealing my carefully devised team. A couple of people were flitting around the room, some muttering to one another, some silent, some pointing toward the computers. As soon as I cross into the room, they all stop, staring at me with a soft smile, nodding politely my way before huddling back around their monitors.

"Princess (Y/n)," One of them speaks up, bowing toward me, his hands by his side as he sends me a soft, reassuring smile, "How is the Queen? Is she any better?"

"My mother is still bedridden," I explain, taking a deep breath to try and centre myself, constantly worrying over my mother, "She'll be better when we find Haruhi..."

It was no surprise to find my mother had grown ill upon seeing Haruhi vanishing from her chambers. Stress and anxiety often clawed it's way through my mother, chasing attacks from her as another year rolls past. A mother having a child ripped away from them often grew sick, racked with guilt for not being their for their child. For not protecting them when they needed her the most. Recently, her guilt grew too powerful, forcing her to throw up, her face growing paler and paler by the day...

In short; she was dying...

"Have we found anything?..." I reply sending them a smile, pushing away the thought of my mother, before looking over the huge whiteboard occupying the back wall, seeing any updates,

"We've got traces of a Haruhi Fujioka at Ouran Academy," One of the head detectives explain, pointing to the whiteboard, revealing footage of a girl that fits my sisters exact description, "At the moment, we're surveying more footage, looking over previous school records. She fits the exact description, this, potentially, could be her,"

Taking a deep breath, trying not to get my hopes up too high, I stare at the picture he was pointing toward. It was a low light picture. Taken from a security camera from, I presume, is the school that she attends. It showed a rather petite... girl? She had huge, round, chocolate brown eyes. Short, rather boyish, brown hair, taking away her femininity, she looked more like a boy than she did a girl. What made it even more deceitful was how she was wearing a boys school uniform, not the pretty cream dresses.

Could this really be her?... She didn't seem like royalty, she seemed like a mere commoner.

From the moment she went missing, our family presumed she was dead. Fearing the worst as guards upon guards came back home empty handed. No sign of her around any of the nearby villages. Each house holding children were surveyed. No one could get away from it, especially with our mother grief stricken and pale. Father tried all he could. Threatening his people, trying to force the truth out and have the kidnapper confess.

But we never found her... not a trace was left. Whoever had taken her had obviously done this before. No fingerprints. No stray hairs. It was as if Haruhi ran away instead of being kidnapped... but I knew better. I am so close to finding her, and there's no backing down now...

I needed to find her, for mother's sake and for my own.

"My Princess... we've found her..."

Time stopped... everything froze. My breath catches in my throat as I stare toward one of my employees with wide eyes. One of the guards standing behind me, arms poised to catch me should my knees buckle under the pressure. To which they do. My head feeling light as I gently crash into my guards chest, holding my heart as tears (of happiness, never sorrow) cascade down my cheeks. Could this be true?... Like a child, I pinched myself three times, checking to see whether it had all been a dream... but no...

This was really happening! We finally found her! After all these years searching... we've finally found her! The pride of all that hard work paying off brushing across the room.

"Where is she? Do we know what happened to her?" I ask, my voice croaking gently as I let out a happy sob, holding onto my guards arms tightly, "Is she safe?"

"She goes by the name of Haruhi Fujioka, the girl on the whiteboard," Another person explains, clearing their throat before pressing on, "Medical records state that she was found in an alleyway, the person taking her in goes by the name Ranka, however his real name is Ryoji Fujioka, he works as an entertainer and cross dresses,"

"Ranka has raised her as his own daughter, never really questioning where she came from or why she was in that alleyway in the first place," Someone else continues, reading from the monitor before them, "She is now studying at Ouran Academy, managing to get a scholarship at this prestigious school, she works at a Host Club where she masquerades as a boy... it appears she owes them a hefty sum of money for breaking a vase,"

"I can't believe it..." I murmur, not able to stop the grin that's etching across my lips, almost jumping for joy, "She's okay..."

"She's been living as a commoner," One of them pipes up, "She knows about being found in an alleyway, she just doesn't know where she came from... I must inform you, she's taken the heart of the leader of the Host Club, a mister Tamaki Suoh,"

"What is your next port of call, Princess?" My guard asks, looking toward me as I gain my balance, wiping away my happy tears

"I'm going to bring her home... I'll go to this academy, I'll meet these 'Host Club' members..." I explain, rolling my eyes as their faces contort to that of worried and parental, "She's my sister... she wants to know where she came from, I'll give it to her... I'll bring her home..."

"What about your mother?" The guard asks, keeping a hand on my lower back to prevent me from collapsing

"I'll tell her it's for studies," I explain, tucking a hair behind my ear, "I need to do this,"

Please, God let this work!

******************

I couldn't help but feel anxious as my limousine rolls through the streets. My heart hammering in my chest, threatening to break from my ribs as I see the building of the academy come into view. Beside me, sat one of my personal guards, sending me a reassuring smile as I audibly gulp. I could hear my heart beating, the sound ringing in my ears. My legs couldn't stop shaking, my nails digging into my palms as I try to take deep breaths. Edging closer and closer to the place where my sister was...

The nervousness radiating off me must have rubbed off onto my guards. Their eyes frantically looking around, possibly due to the fact that, after so many years, they will no longe the needed by my side for a good couple of weeks. I was on my own, unprotected and vulnerable to anything and anyone that wanted to kidnap me or manipulate me.

Not that I'd let that happen.

"We're here, Your Majesty," The chauffeur says, the car rolling to a halt, my heart felt like it stopped beating as the car pauses, "Good luck,"

"Thank you," I hum, sending him a soft smile through the rear view mirror before thanking my guards for opening the car door, "You boys be okay? It's only for a couple of weeks, it's nothing drastic,"

"Of course, my lady," One of them says, kissing my hand gently making me roll my eyes at such affection, "We will still keep an eye on you, never know who's lurking in these places,"

"I'm not a child, anymore, I can handle this," I say, dismissing their fatherly notions, "I need to do this,"

"Of course, we wish you the best of luck," The other says nodding my way before they get back into the vehicle and drive away

I can't believe this was really happening!

Taking a deep breath, I slowly cross onto the threshold of the school. My dress feeling as if it were closing in on me. My throat felt tight. I was really doing this. I was going to find my sister after all these years!

This is amazing!

The Host Club was pretty easy to find. A huge crowd of lovesick girls circled large oak doors. It seemed like, when it concerned these boys, that every girl in the school thought it okay to drop their mannerisms, picking up dirty habits that my father would kill me for should I possess them. They were huddled around the open doors, squealing and whispering to each other, some jumping up and down like crazed fan girls at a concert, some quietly looking over their friends shoulders with a blush.

What was the huge fuss about? It was just a bunch of boys acting like their in love with this girl for money... it's like prostitution... but... no sex. Is there a term for that?

Anyways...

Clearing my throat, I press toward the crowd, determination written across my face as I squeeze through the tight spaces the girls leave. Apologising each time I step on someone's foot, elbow someone in their back or stomach, accidentally kicking some when I took a step or whenever I slipped on their dresses. Trying to ignore their annoyed stares as I push my way through to the front. Having enough of apologising, I end up just sending them a bittersweet smile as I push them out of my way. Managing to get to the front of the huddle, finally getting a glimpse of these boys that have each of these girls wrapped around their fingers.

Arching a brow, I cross my arms over my chest as I take a step into the room, taking a good hard look around the room. A rather buoyant blonde bounds his way toward me, taking my hands into his rather weirdly smooth hands. He had sparkling baby blue eyes and a rather flirtatious smile.

"My, my, we have a new customer~" he hums, leaning close to me until our lips were mere centimetres apart, my eyes widening as an uncomfortable feeling shoots up my spine, "My, you're absolutely stunning, my lady, a princess such as you deserves only the best,"

"Um.... excuse me?" I splutter, yanking my hands from his grip as I take a couple of steps back, covering my chest with my hand as I glare toward the male with a scowl

"Aww, she's shy~" Someone speaks up from behind me, an arm wrapping around my shoulders, a mess of auburn hair sliding into my vision. Twins. One on my left and one on my right. The one on my right speaking up.

"Get off me," I hiss through my teeth, closing my eyes as I take a deep breath, gathering all my energy to not deck these boys, thinking their entitled to touch me and speak to me like I was some sort of lovesick puppy

"Ooh, we have a little firecracker~" The blonde hums, sending me, what I'm guessing, was his signature smile, "How cute!"

Were these guys on crack?

"Why can't you guys just stop flirting with every girl that comes into sight?" A voice speaks out, coming into view as they cross their arms over their chest, resting their weight on one hip, "She's clearly uncomfortable, she doesn't want you to touch her or flirt with her, respect that,"

Finally, someone who actually sounded sane in this whole weird ordeal. My eyes follow to where the voice was, widening them as my sight falls upon them. Short brown hair styled in a rather masculine way, shaping her rather feminine face. Huge, round eyes looking annoyed toward the twins and the blonde. She was rather short; yet again, so was my mother. She was the spitting image of our mother...

There she was... Standing right there in front of me. She didn't even know who I was but she was protecting me. Like a sister would. Yet she didn't even know it.

"Oh, my dear Haruhi! You're so adorable! No wonder the girls all flock to you!" The blonde preens, bounding over to Haruhi, pulling her into a tight hug and spinning her around, the girl shrieking out in protest as he does so.

That must be the Tamaki Suoh they were talking about. The one that is infatuated with my sister. So, if he's in love with her, why flirt with all these other girls? Can he not stand not being loved? Does he crave attention?

"I'm not here for one of your little mind games," I speak out, crossing my arms over my chest as I stare at the blonde, who I'm assuming is in charge considering the intel I received, using my status to intimidate them. Giving them a 'royal glare' as some may call it, "I know something that could potentially ruin your reputation as a club,"

"W - what?" The blonde splutters, staring at me as if I had two heads

Each host froze in their place. Each of them looking toward each other, trying to work out what it may be. Haruhi, surprisingly, stood rather unfazed by it all, finding the boys discomfort rather humorous to say the least. Each of them muttering to each other, trying to suss who done what and how I, the new student, would have found out about it.

"What do you want from us?" A glasses clad male asks, pushing the said glasses up the bridge of his nose, "I'm assuming you want a payment,"

"How do we know you're not bluffing?" One of the twins perk up, a smirk playing on my lips as the blonde pushes the doors shut, "What do you know?"

"I don't want anything, well... not yet at least, it'll come in due time," I hum, watching the blonde restlessly fidget on his feet, his eyebrow twitching, "I'm not bluffing, believe me, if I were you'd be able to tell,"

"What is the information? How do you know if it's true or not?" The glasses clad male asks, staring at me through the rim of his glasses, trying to intimidate me

"Well, I know for a fact, that one of you isn't actually male, they're rather female instead," I say, divulging the information to them; watching each of them gasp, turning toward each other, trying to suss out who told, "And judging by your reactions... it may be true,"

"How do you know about this? This isn't very ladylike of you, I must say, my princess," The blonde sighs, staring at me, his hand itching to slice the air in front of Haruhi to defend her, said girl just stood there unfazed with a smirk, "Stop being so vulgar, it isn't very becoming,"

"I could tell the whole school if you'd like, blondie, but I'm not that cruel," I hum, sending them a sweet, sickly smile, "You'll all find out in due time who I am but for now... I'll leave you all to squirm around like ants,"

Without another word, I saunter out of the room. Pushing the grand doors open with both hands, watching as the girls outside stare at me incredulously. As if I had done something terrible. They couldn't hear what I said, of course they couldn't. However, they did see the apprehension darting across the hosts faces. Their eyes watching me worried, as if I had just told them some terrifying new, scared about how I, the new student, managed to put the whole host club on edge.

It's the art of being royalty. Manipulation. Do it the right way and they're all putty. Let them squirm, sitting in their own filth of knowing that someone they never want knowing about something knows about it. I had to fight dirty. I knew that.

However, even I knew, the games had just begun.

*******************

The halls throughout the school were buzzing with excitement. Girls clad in gorgeous shimmering dresses, holding a silk shawl to prevent the coldness from seeping into them. Each girl desperately waiting for their turn to waltz around the ballroom with their chosen host, their bodies shaking with anticipation as they get closer and closer to their chance. Most of the girls wore glittering ballroom dresses, covered in glitz and glamour from head to toe. Filling in their eyebrows. Dolling theirselves up to make them look irresistible to their favourite host.

It was a school ball, for gods sake, it wasn't like any of the masquerade balls or grand balls my parents held. Why go all out on a school event? It was such a waste of money.

Despite the flamboyant nature of each girls attire, I was wearing something on the more simpler side. A plain (f/c) dress that was great for occasions just like these, there were some gold trimming around the skirt of the dress. It was slim fit, hugging my body in the perfect way. It had a high neck as well, the lining a deep black colour. Hung around my neck was my locket, something that my parents had given me the day Haruhi got taken away, never once did I go a day without wearing it. On my feet were black heels, short heels (I can't stand to walk in high heels) that pinched my toes at the front (which was always something I hated). My hair twisted up into a high bun, two strands of hair resting against my face. It was simple yet elegant. Which was always the look I was going for.

A handful of girls opted for the same look as I did. A simple dress. Nothing too flashy. More often than not, that caught the boys attention more.

Speaking of boys, the Host Club were basking in the attention of each oestrogen filled teenager. Tamaki stood at the middle of the landing, two flights of stairs either side of the landing, welcoming each girl. Sending them a flirtatious wink or pulling them into his arms, whispering sweet nothings before leaving them flustered. The twins, who I found out were named Hikaru and Kaoru were teasing Haruhi, who stood there rather awkwardly.

She must have never taken a dancing lesson in all her life. Watching her waltz was like Bambi on ice. It was adorable.

Ever since I made that statement to the club, they've been on edge whenever I'm around. I wouldn't want to put them out of business, after all, they are still my sisters friends. However, they're still rather wary of me, avoiding eye contact, moving out of my way, sometimes even offering to carry my books. They were desperate for me not to tell anyone, it wasn't like I would anyway.

I'm not that cruel after all.

Smiling softly, I slide into the Music Room, shutting the door behind me as I lean against the double oak doors. The Host's having a breather from dancing with all those women. Tamaki quenching his thirst with a flute of flavoured water, fawning over Haruhi, about how adorable he was as he clumsily lead his partners around the dance floor. The twins were teasing each other, Hikaru jeering Kaoru because he was jealous over some girl. Honey feasting on a slice of chocolate cake with Mori beside him while Kyoya looked over their finances.

As I clear my throat, their eyes instantly land on me. Stopping their actions as they focus their full attention on me.

"What do you want from us?" Kyoya asks, pushing his glasses further up his nose, glaring at me

"Well, I was going to do the polite thing and tell you who I was but... if you'd rather I leave you all alone..." I begin, giggling softly as Tamaki scrambles to his feet

"No! Please, it pains me to know such a beautiful girl such as yourself can be so... sneaky," he says, holding his hand to his chest, staring at me, "I demand you tell me at once! This is inexcusable! We're not some commoners!"

"You're something," I mutter crossing my arms, rather amused by his behaviour, "I understand you're all either pissed at me or you're upset with me and frankly, I don't care, I'm here on business you could say. I'm not here to make friends,"

"Mommy! She's saying bad words!" Tamaki whines, shaking Kyoya to which the glasses clad male pushes him off

"Tamaki, that's enough," Haruhi groans rubbing her temple, "Stop stalling her and let her speak and tell us who she is... that way this whole ordeal can be over with,"

"Thank you Haruhi," I hum, sending her a soft smile, watching her send me a smile back, already our bond creating, "If you all must know, my name is Princess (Y/n) (L/n), I am the daughter of the King and Queen,"

"What.... oh my god! I'm so sorry, Your Majesty!" Tamaki squeals, kneeling by my feet, head pressed to the floor in forgiveness, "Please forgive my behaviour!"

"What is a Princess like you doing in our school?" Kyoya asks tilting his head

"Isn't there a missing princess?" Mori says, looking toward me

"Missing princess?..." Tamaki asks looking up at me, staring at me with wide eyes

"Yes, there is. Princess Haruhi," I hum, making eye contact with Haruhi who stares at me with wide eyes, her hands holding her chest as the boys gawk at her, "I've searched high and low for my sister, a couple of weeks back we found traces of a Haruhi Fujioka in this school... we ran tests, looked at medical records... coming to the conclusion that the missing princess was part of a host club masquerading as a male because she owed money,"

"Wait so... Haru - chan's a Princess?" Honey asks, staring up at the said girl in amazement, his bunny close to his chest, "Wow! Haru - chan, you never told us you were royalty!"

"I... I didn't know... I knew that my father wasn't my birth father... he said he found me in an alleyway," she explains, not breaking eye contact with me, "Are you serious?"

"Of course, you were kidnapped from our home when you were five... mother was devastated, she's bed ridden, succumbing to heartbreak... we searched high and low for you but we didn't find anything," I explains, taking a small step toward her, giving her a reassuring smile, "I started an agency to find you behind our parents back. It took ten years... but I finally found you..."

"Did you ever find the person that... took me?" She asks, her eyes slowly wetting, tears building up in the corner of her eyes as she takes my hands into hers

"No... we never did... we thought you died," I says sending her a soft smile, "But I knew somehow that you were still alive... call it a big sister instinct,"

"So.. you're my sister?" She says, tears running down her cheeks as I smile happily nodding, "I... I don't know what to say... I... this all so..."

"I know, I know," I hum, happily smiling as she pushes herself into my arms, burying her face in my shoulder as she cries happily into me, "I missed you so much!"

"So... my Haruhi is a real princess..." Tamaki gawks, staring at us as we hold each other tightly as if we'd be separated again, "What does that mean? Is she going... she leaving us?..."

"I... I don't know... I..." Haruhi says looking toward me for answers

"Well... I know mother and father will want you to stay," I say running my fingers through her hair with a small smile, "But you're comfortable in this environment and shoving you back into royal life would be difficult... we'll sort it all out but I won't take her away,"

Haruhi smiles softly nodding, hugging me tightly as I kiss her forehead softly. Letting her bury her head into my shoulder.

I wasn't going to let go of her again...

Not this time...
