Camera's rolling? Good! Live in 3.. 2.. 1..!
The scene opens on a shot of Kat, who's sitting alone at the table. She smiles winningly at the camera. "Hello and welcome to our show! I'd like to-"
"Psst!"
Kat glares at the cameraperson. Her eye twitches. "You DARE interrupt me?!!"
The cameraperson's voice trembles with fear. "I-I'm sorry, M-Miss, b-but S-Storm..."
Kat twists around and glances beside her. "Hmm.. Oh, I see... STORM!!! GET YOUR SORRY BACKSIDE OVER HERE, RIGHT NOW!!!"
"Tell them I'm sick!" She whispers from off screen.
"No! I will not condone lying!"
The camera cuts to Storm.
"Please?"
"Aah. This is about last weeks' incident, isn't it?"
Storm crouches in the studio's corner, with Gayle the spider clinging onto her shoulder for dear life as the girl unwillingly stands up. "Yes, it is, and I'm not going over there!"
Kat raises an eyebrow in an 'Oh really?' movement. Her expression doesn't change as she swiftly holds up a cookie.
"SWEET CHEESE!!!" Storm zooms over and flops down into the other chair, then snatches the cookie.
Kat allows herself a small smile. "I've already discussed this with you. The studio won't be pressing charges as long as we keep airing this show. Apparently, the network's reviews skyrocketed after we aired the first one, so they've permitted us to keep filming more. And I can be very persuasive." She flutters her eyelashes fetchingly.
Storm snorts, her mouth full of cookie, and Kat smacks her in the back of the head. "OW!!!" The younger complains.
"Now that that's settled..." Kat checks her notes, "Mm-hmm.. Mm-hmm.. Ah! @Ninja_Of_Fanfic writes: 'What happens if you bring a hairdryer with you into the bathtub?' Well, that's an excellent question!" Kat waves a couple of crewmen over. "Bathtub over there." She mutters to them, pointing at the place where she wants it. The guys nod and try to hoist it up between them.
"AAAH!!! MY BACK!!!" One screams.
"MY ARMS FEEL LIKE THEY'RE BEING RIPPED OUT OF THEIR SOCKETS!!!" The other screeches in agony.
Kat frowns. "Lightweights!" She growls. She and Storm walk over to the tub, easily lift it up between the two of them, and move it.
Storm sticks her tongue out at the guys. "Haha! I've got spider-strength, suckers!!!" She gently high-fives Gayle with the tip of her index finger.
"Off the set. Shoo!" Kat hustles the moaning males away. "Where were we?"
"Hairdryer. Bathtub." Storm reminds her. "Step aside, Sis! Now it's my time to shine!" She rips off her clothes. (Nothing inappropriate, this is child-friendly, after all!) "Good thing I was wearing a swimsuit today!" She gets into the tub and grins. "See, nothing!" She says, as Kat drops in a hairdryer.
"I think our reader/viewer meant for water to be in the tub, too." Kat grabs a hose and plucks Gayle off of Storm's shoulder. "You'll be safe here with me, my dear little arachnid friend." Kat whispers conspiratorially to the spider, and places it up onto her head so that it may also observe the proceedings in comfort.
"Now, there's a strong chance that this could be fatal." Kat tells Storm, lifting the hose.
"Wait, WHAT?!!!"
"FOR SCIENCE!!!" Kat shouts.
"Nonononono..!"
"Hehe. Oops!" Kat douses Storm with a blast from the hose.
Storm's hair stands straight up and her teeth click together as currents of electricity jolt through her body. "Th-i-i-sss i-i-ss nn-not-t a-a-sss f-f-un a-a-sss I-I th-o-ought-t i-it w-wo-o-ould b-b-be!" She manages to gasp out.
Kat quickly shuts off the water and unplugs the hairdryer. "Are you alright?" She asks unnecessarily.
"Nn-ah!" Storm makes a strangely strangled, worn-out noise and collapses backwards into the tub, unconscious.
"Well, what did you think of that, Gayle?" Kat questions, grinning.
The spider clacks her tiny mandibles together in amusement.
"Yes, quite! I do agree! Though I believe that we should call the paramedics now."
-Five minutes later-
The paramedics come onto the set and attempt to revive Storm. Kat calmly sits down and watches them excitedly. "Ooh, I've always wanted to see someone use a defibrillator! Today must be our lucky day!" Storm lets out a pitiful low moan, and Kat shrugs. "Okay, my lucky day."
"CLEAR!!!" A woman shouts. Then a thump.. Another shout.. A thump..
Storm suddenly gasps and sits bolt upright, like a 21st century Frankenstein's monster.
"IT'S ALIVE!!!" Kat cannot resist yelling. "ALIIIIIVE!!!"
"Very funny." Storm grumbles.
"Jolly good show, old bean!" Kat adopts a British accent and walks over to her, clapping.
"It was, though, wasn't it?!" Storm replies proudly.
Kat pats her on the shoulder. "There's just one problem." She continues.
"And what would that be?" Storm asks warily.
"The camera's lens cover was on the whole time we were filming."
Storm screams and faints, dropping to the floor with a thud.
Kat snickers and pulls the cover out of her pocket. "Just kidding! It was right here with me!"
