🎄 Christmas Special! 🎄
If I can grab my father's phone around the big day, I'll try to upload a photo of my bun enjoying the fun! (Edit: Done!) ~Kat 😻
Whatever you celebrate at this wonderful time, have a loving and peaceful holiday/end-of-year, everyone! 😸 🌩
Kat looks up from the tea that she's sipping from. "Oh, hello! I didn't see you there! Welcome to our wonderful Christmas special! Brought to you out of guilt!"
Storm leaps into the picture. "Guilt for what, you may ask? Why, because our lives are so chaotic, we can only update now!!!"
Kat gives her a pointed look. "Want to tell our viewers the real reason?"
"Uhh.. Not really."
"STORM!!!"
Storm avoids eye contact and mumbles. "Our team had a teeny-tiny little hiccup is all."
"-Maybe because you chucked a live opossum at our producer!!!"
"Yeah, well.. He deserved it!!! He insulted me!!!" Storm replies, her voice raising higher in indignation.
"He only said that you were great comic relief!!!"
"I'M MUCH MORE THAN THAT!!!"
"You threw an opossum in his face..."
"Oh.. Right... He should be glad that it wasn't a wolverine..." Storm mutters.
*Technical difficulties, please stand by*
The screen goes black, and Kat's voice is heard hissing: "QUICK!!! PLAY A COMMERCIAL!!!"

"NO!!! NOT THAT ONE!!!!!"
*Traumatic.. Possessing.. ✨Fatherless.✨ Lloyd, the Fragrance.*
"That'll do!" Kat says approvingly. "..Also, we were busy filming our new show, so time's been pretty tight lately."
Storm jumps onscreen. "Yep! The Adventures of Raven and Ariadne. Check it out!"
Kat rolls her eyes and continues. "..Between all of the stunts that we're required to do, (I don't trust those stunt doubles, myself!) and the producer's attempted lawsuit, we've been barely able to keep up with the demand for new Randomness episodes."
Storm snorts. "HA! 'Grievous opossum injuries.' Like that would go far in a court of law..!"
"Poor man." Kat says pityingly.
Storm grins. "Anywho, it's time for some festive celebration!!!"
"YES!!! Let's deck out the studio!!!" Kat agrees enthusiastically. She grabs her cloak and drapes it around her shoulders.
*Epic drive to a tree farm*
The ladies wander around the lot.
Kat points at a tree. "How about this one?"
Storm looks at it and shakes her head. "Naaah. What about this?" She points at another.
Kat sighs, walks over to the tree, and shakes it. A small shower of needles falls to the ground, and Kat frowns. "Nope. This one isn't very healthy at all."
"Okay. ..And this one?"
"Definitely not! The top is weak and crooked! You'd never be able to put a star on top!!!"
Storm holds onto another one. "This is nice and green, and the top is straight, too!"
Kat walks around it and scrutinizes it closely. "But there's a bird's nest in this one. I don't want to disturb them. Anyways, there's a bare patch where they fly through, it wouldn't work."
*One long hour later*
Storm speaks up. "You know, I like the one that you picked first best."
Kat growls loudly. "WHAT?!!" She stomps over to the tree, pulls out a large saw from her handbag, and proceeds to grumpily saw the tree's trunk. The scent of tree sap permeates the chilly Winter air, and Kat gradually smiles with satisfaction as fresh sap runs from the cut.
"Yes. This will do perfectly." She draws the saw along the trunk once more, and she catches the tree as it tilts towards them. She easily picks it up and tucks it under her arm, then walks over and pays the man in the booth, who's watching them, slack-jawed.
Storm takes a deep breath, wiping her brow. "Man, that was exhausting work!!!"
"YOU DIDN'T EVEN DO ANYTHING EXCEPT STRESS ME OUT!!!"
"DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD THAT IS ON MY YOUNG BODY?!!"
Kat makes a strange frustrated yowling noise and ties the tree to the top of the car. "Let's go already!"
*Even more epic car drive*
Kat turns to Storm and says sweetly. "Storm, please tell the camera guy that if he hits me in the back of the head one more time with his recording equipment, I will personally shove it down his throat one piece at a time."
The cameraman makes a terrified strangled noise and quickly moves away.
Kat smiles. "Never mind!" She pulls out a candy cane and serenely munches on it.
*The car stops*
Storm looks around, confused. "Where are we?"
"I've brought you to the woods-"
"NOOOOO!!!" Storm screams and starts crying. "I'M TOO YOUNG TO DIEEEEE!!! TO BE BURIED DEEP UNDERGROUND, WITH ONLY THE WORMS TO KEEP ME COMPANY!!! SPARE ME, OH GREAT ONE, I BEG OF YOU!!!!!" She clings to Kat's cape with an iron hold while the elder tries to shake her off.
"What the heck are you..? Oh, for the love of-! WE'RE HERE TO COLLECT TREE BRANCHES, YOU SILLY SPIDER FURRY!!!"
Storm immediately stops sobbing. "Oh, alright then!" She happily skips around Kat as she tries to explain things to her hyperactive friend and crew.
"Collect as much greenery as you can! Stuff like juniper and yew berries would look nice also!" She hands everyone a saw from her handbag and pulls out another candy cane.
Everyone madly saws away as Kat yells out. "Angled cuts, people!!! Who taught you all how to saw?!!"
Kat's eyes light up as an idea takes hold, and she chuckles. "Hehe..!" She then squeezes a dollop of ketchup onto her finger and screams. "AAAAAAAAHHH!!!!! MY THUMB!!!"
Storm faints, and Kat snickers. "I'm my father's girl, after all..!!!"
*Technical difficulties*
Kat claps her hands in a businesslike manner. "Alright, load up the car, we've got places to be!"
The cameraman carries an unconscious Storm into the car and straps her in like a toddler, while Kat fights with the massive urge to duct-tape her friend's mouth shut just for a laugh.
Everyone else (besides Storm, of course!) fills the car with branches.
"Lovely!" Kat pulls her third candy cane out of her bag and whispers to Storm's prostrate form. "Candy cane, such a shame, that you can't claim, to your bane! BOOM!!!" She daintily nibbles on it. "No wonder my masks all smell like peppermint 24/7..."
*Back at the studio*
Kat flits around the studio, joyfully tossing swags of garlands and branches into every nook and cranny of the space.
When Storm wakes up and sees what's going on, she immediately dashes off, yelling, "I'LL GET THE GLITTER!!!"
When Storm returns, she runs every which way, squealing as she throws generous handfuls of glitter everywhere. "WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!! SOME FOR YOU, SOME FOR YOU, AND SOME FOR YOU, TOO!!!" She tosses some glitter into Kat's face and screams as her friend starts chasing her with a snarl. "WHERE'S YOUR CHRISMAS SPIRIT?!! OH, LORDY, SOMEBODY HELP MEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!"
Kat yells after her, glitter streaming down her hair and dress. "GET BACK HERE, YOU LITTLE DEMON!!!"
The producer gleefully watches from the sidelines, smirking.
Storm screams at him furiously as he makes no move to help her. "I'LL GET YOU FOR THIS, OPOSSUM-MAN!!!"
He glares at her. "You did not just..!!!"
*Technical difficulties*
"Well, it's been two hours, I've had to wash glitter from parts of me that I will never ever even name, and we had to give our producer a restraining order, but I do believe that the studio has never looked better!" Kat says proudly, putting her hands on her hips as she admires their handiwork. "What do you think, Storm?"
There's a muffled grunt, and Kat turns around. "Oh yeah.." She removes the duct tape from Storm's mouth and grins at her. "Well..? It's nice, isn't it?"
"UNTIE ME RIGHT NOW, YOU MONSTER!!!" Storm hollers from her place on a chair, angrily straining at the garlands Kat used to hold her back.
"Fine..!" Kat unties her friend and smirks. "Will you behave yourself now, or do I have to sic my rabbit on you again?"
"I'll behave, but only because no mere mortal can handle that much adorable poofiness!!!"
"Good! I left the tree for us to decorate together! Are you up for it?"
"Totally!"
*Epic tree-decorating montage*
"There's just one thing missing." Kat says.
Storm hums and looks around. "Yeah, the star! ..Where is it, anyways?"
"I think I know.." Kat walks to the corner of the studio and clicks her tongue. "GINGER!!! I KNEW IT!!!" She scolds her rabbit, who's been gradually hopping away with the star in his mouth. "You've been mooching the star, you ANIMAL!!!"
She lifts her rabbit up and cradles him in her arms like a baby. "We need that, but we'll gladly have you help out."
Kat and Storm lift him up together and raise him high. "Drop it, boy!" Kat says. Ginger happily obliges, and as the star drops onto the very top of the tree, it magically lights up, the enchanting glow of a thousand lights spiraling downwards. All of the studio's Christmas lights flicker on, and they carefully lower Ginger.
"Merry Christmas, my child." Kat says, handing him a carrot wrapped up with a big bow. He puts a paw protectively over it and starts munching away as Kat walks offscreen for a moment.
She returns, carrying two mugs of hot tea with her. "Merry Christmas, Storm." She says, handing her one.
"Merry Christmas, Kitty." Storm replies with a contented sigh.
They smile as they sit down onto the floor with Ginger and admire the lights, sipping from their teas, as the screen slowly turns black.
*Afterwards, in the studio*
Storm turns around. "Are you comfortable over there, Mr. Producer?" She whispers to the struggling, duct-taped man. "Enjoy the festivities, you opossum-faced man!"
