Twinkle

I briskly stormed towards the edge of the boat and looked down into water, it was clear without any undulations. I gulped down the huge lump formed in my throat and strolled towards the other side to check but there also I couldn't find any clue.

"Noah stop this cheap prank alright! This isn't a joke anymore... " My voice shuddered a little. My palms were sweating profusely.

"Noah are you here? Just come out Noah, you're scaring me now!" I yelled while tears were filled till the brim of my eyelids.

He wasn't there on boat which also meant he jumped into water and it's been freaking two minutes I haven't heard the splashing of water sound. The misty fog which was covering the surrounding wasn't helping the situation.

Without thinking about anything I jumped into water. I shuddered when my body immersed into the cold water, clenching my teeth tightly I dived inside but to my luck nothing was visible.

A wierd kind of sensation took birth in my stomach, my heart beat was erratic. I didn't want to think about bad things, I constantly pushed away the thoughts of what might have happened to Noah.

I just hope you're safe Noah.

"Noah?" I rake finger through my hair and try to look around. I swim a little farther but all my eyes could see was darkness, the only light which was radiating was from the small bulbs attached to the edge of boat.

"Noah please this isn't funny!" I uttered with hot tears streamed down my cheek.

"Baby what exactly are you searching ?!" Noah voice rung in my ears making me let out a sigh of relief. I snap my head above to see he was standing on boat with his elbow plopped against the railing with a huge smirk laced on his face.

I glare at him but internally I was an emotional mess, I couldn't help but sob. I covered my palm on my eyes and tried to control my tears but it was as if tears weren't in my control. I bit my lip firmly.

Just the thought of losing Noah scared the living daylight out of me. Albeit he is safe now still my heart wasn't in peace. I was so much engrossed in battling with my thoughts that I didn't register when Noah jumped into water. Only when I was pulled into his embrace I understood that Noah was hugging me.

I wriggled in his arms trying to break free. I was hella vexed on him. Using all my strength I pushed him away from me.

"I was this close to death. You know I was so scared, " I sniffed wiping my now over flowing tears, "How could you pull such an act idiot... I hate you!" I glared at him whilst clenching my jaws.

"The water is very cold... Let's get out of here." Noah said pushing himself onto the boat while giving me his hand.

I rolled my eyes and helped myself without taking his hand.

Noah stared at me for a second and then slowly one side of his lip lifted upwards.

Is he smiling after almost giving me a heart attack?

"Now say again what you said earlier ?" He asked scrunching his nose.

"I hate you!" I repeated with a stern voice.

"Love you too... And this wasn't even close to what you did. 'Noah love is a very strong to name my feelings' huh?" He finger quoted my words, "I felt like my heart had stopped for a second you know. I would have believed you if I hadn't grasped the slight smirk which you had while playing with your fingers."

"You played with me first! Didn't you tell you won't propose or confess your feelings?!" I questioned folding my hand in front of my chest.

Noah eyes narrowed while his gaze lowered from my eyes towards my neck and then lower. The intensity of his gaze was as powerful as caress making my stomach lurch and my heart pound against my ribcage. I slowly lower my eyes to see my white shirt was fully soaked and I could clearly see my black laced bra through my shirt.

I cleared my throat and jerked my shirt a little in front so that it won't be glued to my body.

"Uh — I " Noah uttered raking finger through his hair, "Yes what was I telling... I was just pulling your leg earlier. I had planned on confessing my feeling after we reach our destination but it slipped my mouth somehow... "

"But I still hate you — I hate " Before I could complete my sentence Noah silenced me by placing his lips on mine. He wasn't moving his lips just had his cold lips pressed against mine.

After few seconds he moved away from me, "You need to change into something else or you'll catch cold " He muttered tucking my hair behind my ear.

"Yeah, you have spare clothes right?" I questioned.

"Oh shit!" Noah closed his eyes, "I have no clothes here... I forgot my bag in the car. "

I sneezed once, twice, thrice. The temperature of my body was dropping, my teeth were chattering due to cold.

"What now? I can't stay in this clothes?" I ask rubbing my palm together.

"Come inside first " Noah slid his hand around my waist and pulled me inside the house and closed the door shut. He walked towards the edge of the room and picked up three towels.

"I guess this will do for now... You can snuggle inside the quilt if you still feel cold." He said pointing at the fluffy quilt spread on the bed.

I grabbed two towels from his hand, "I will change now." I stated waiting for Noah to walk out of door but he was glued to his place.

"Noah?" I called

"Yeah?" He asked as if he doesn't even know anything.

"Ain't you going outside? I have to change. " I lifted the towel a little and pointed my index finger towards the door.

"Uh yeah... I will be outside!" He shook his head a little and walked out closing the door.

I swiftly freed myself from the soaked clothes and wrapped my body with a towel. With the help of another towel I wrapped my damp hair in towel turban.

Making my way towards the bed I jumped on bed and concealed my body with warm and soft quilt.

"Noah?" I called, the door pushed open and my eyes went wide. Noah walked inside with only a towel wrapped around his waist.

My eyes darted towards his glorious abs which were in view, the tiny droplets rolling down on his abs stirred a strange sensation in my body.

"You want coffee?" he questioned walking towards the counter. 

I gave him a nod. 

For few seconds I watched Noah who was busy in stirring the coffee powder in the mug. Coming out of the quilt cocoon I took slow steps in his direction.

"So when are we going to reach the place ? " I queried darting my eyes towards mug. I waited for an answer but none came instead Noah hands stopped stirring the powder. I hoisted my eyelids to look at him. 

My breath hitched when I found his face very close to mine, his warm breath fanning my face. I placed my hand on the counter and took a step backwards only to hit the counter with my back. Noah eyes carried a predatory look which made me more nervous. Taking my eyes off him I was about to step aside when he placed his hands on either side of my body trapping me between him and the counter. 

He raised his hand and unwrapped the towel turban off my head, my slightly damp hair fell on my shoulder. I inhaled deeply when my damp hair came in contact with my bare shoulder.

Raising his hand towards my face Noah held a strand of my hair between his thumb and index finger, twirling the strand he pushed his body closer to mine. 

"You shouldn't have come here..." he whispered burying his face in crook of my neck. His hand travelled around my waist pulling me flush against his bare chest. A low whimper escaped my lips when he nibbled the skin below my ear, "You're looking so damn hot for me to control..." He mumbled trailing wet kisses along my neck.
