Twinkle

"Bring this dishes out? Till then I will set the table. " Noah pinched my cheek and walked out.

For the love of God... Why can't I keep my heart in check today?

I stroll out with two bowls in my hand. Noah had set a small round table with candles surrounding the table. The yellow light from the candles brightened up his face making me stare at him in awe. The place was scented with saccharine smell of rose.

Albeit Noah was teasing me during the entire dinner but I enjoyed it a lot. I got to spend some quality time with him.

"I will wash the dishes." He stood up and collected the plates. I had my elbow plopped on table while my eyes were peering at him. He glanced in my direction and raised an eyebrow, I shook my head smiling. He came across the table and bent down to give me chaste kiss and walked away with dishes.

I laid on bed with my stomach pressed against the soft matress and my hand plopped against the pillow. I was scrolling through the comments on my new IG post.

The bed next to me dipped and I felt a warm hand snaking around my waist followed by a peck on side of my lip.

"Watcha doin'? " He whispered in my ear and laid on bed with his hand placed behind his head.

"Don't you think you are being too touchy today?" I raise my brow while twirling a strand of my hair.

"You think?"

"I - " my words were cut off when he pulled me towards him. I was now hovering over him. My hair unfurled on his face.

"You what?!" He whispered removing my hair from his face and tugging them behind my ear. His orbs gazing straight into mine making my stomach churn with nervousness.

I gulp and avert my gaze away from him, pressing my palm against his hard well built chest I try to move away from him but he snaked his hand around my waist and pulled me against him.

"Noah," I pout trying to mitigate the intense atmosphere which had sweeped our surrounding.

"Yeah sweetheart" Noah cupped my face in his hand and turned us around and now my back was pressed against the matress while he was hovering over me with his palms pressed on matress on either side of my head leaving only few inches gap between our body. I could literally feel the heat radiating from his body.

I blinked, "Who are you?"

"What?" Noah leisurely placed his hand above my head while letting his body crush against mine making me intake a deep breath.

"When did you become so bold Noah?" This side of Noah has left me aghast.

"That's not important... Ain't you enjoying this side of mine?" he asked, his voice dropped an octave, digging his face into my neck he nibbled making me close my eyes shut.

"You smell so freaking good," His voice came out all low and husky. While he started trailing kisses all along my jaw making me swim with raw emotions. Sliding his hand in the nape of my neck he brought his lips dangerously close to mine almost brushing it.

Next moment I felt his soft lips pressed against mine. Involuntarily my hand slide around his neck pulling him closer. The kiss is filled with love, it was unhurried, angelic and smooth. We moved our lips in sync in slow pace making my inside flutter with joy.

"God I love you so much, " Noah whispered before placing his lips on mine again. My hands freezed and my heart pounded against my rib cage.

Did I hear him right? Cause I freaking heard I love you!

Noah also registered what slipped from his tongue, he slowly pushed his face away from mine. I stare at him waiting for him to clarify what he just confessed.

"I definitely didn't want to confess like this but yeah I love you!" He cupped my face in his palm and stroked my cheek with his thumb.

My voice was clogged in my throat, a puzzling sensation took birth in my stomach. I kept batting my eyelids because my mind was null after listening to his unforseen confession.

How am I supposed to react?

Noah was trying his best to read my reaction but only I knew my mind, body, heart was in chaos now not to forget my heart was brimming with contentment.

I slowly closed my eyes trying to calm my racing heart.

He loves me too.

But something crossed my mind making me snap my eyes open. Why the hell did he play with me earlier then?
He said he didn't want me to propose or confess his feelings this early. All the while I was dying from inside and this guy was enjoying my pain.

I smirk internally, you messed up with wrong girl Noah.

I gaze at Noah and gave him a gloomy look, "Noah I think you were right earlier. We shouldn't confess this early... After you told, I realised might be you were right... " The moment words slipped out of my mouth Noah sat up abruptly. I so badly wanted to laugh but I kept the hard look plastered on my face.

"What the hell Twinkle... If you're trying to pull my leg I'm telling you this isn't the proper time damit!" He whispered yelled, frustration dripping in his voice.

"I'm not joking Noah. I'm freaking serious " I narrowed my eyes while fidgeting with my fingers.

"Twinkle!" He mumbled raking finger through his hair.

"Noah, we can be best friend for some time, " I made puppy like face and moved towards him but he jerked himself away and stood straight.

"So you mean you don't have feelings for me?" He urged looking straight into my eyes.

"I have feelings for you but love is a strong word to name it."

"Alright, okay fine... " He yelled making me jump a little, "You are not joking right?" He queried.

I shook my head in negative.

"Fine then... " With that he stormed outside and closed the door with a thud.

Serves you right for making me feel like stupid earlier. I burst into laughter after he went out. God, he looked like he was going to cry.

Such a cry baby !

My laughter died out when I heard a vast splash of water hitting the boat.
My heart beat stopped for a second and my eyes went wide.

He freaking didn't jump into the freezing cold water upon that it's a night time, you won't know what's under water.

My heart was hammering against my chest, "Noah!" I yelled running outside only to find it empty.

He wasn't here which means he did jump into water.
