Anaya POV.

I reach home quite late. I hope mom is not waiting for me it's quite late. I thank the driver of Abhi for dropping me off and went in.

When I found no one in the living room, I knew mom must have slept long back, she is very punctual in her routine. I wish I can be this punctual. Anyways, I went to my room, and after keeping my phone and bag on my bed, I walk directly to my bathroom to freshen up. After 10 min when I walk out of the bathroom, I saw my phone is blinking which means there is some notification, but I was so hungry to check it now. I took my phone and went to the kitchen to feed myself.

When I reach the kitchen, I found a covered bowl with a note,

Don't just drink coffee eat your dinner, I made it for you.

Love,
Mom.

I smile at her way of showing love and open the lid, I found that she made her famous pasta which by the way I love. I quickly set it in the microwave to heat it and start making bournvita milk, well I love bournvita milk more than coffee, everyone knows it.

After all the hard work I place my dinner on the kitchen counter and hop on the counter ( I know very childish). Mom says I am a monkey but who cares when you are hungry. When I took my first bite, my phone start ringing, when I see the name of the caller, I almost get a heart attack but I attend the call.

" Are you out of your fucking mind or what? Didn't I tell you to call me immediately when you reach home? I was sending you messages like a madman and you didn't even once think to reply to me."

I patiently listen to him.

" Now will you at least speak or what."

I just roll my eyes and was about to say but he again interrupted.

" Leave open the door now. I am outside."

I quickly jump down while running and opens the door, there he was my childhood best friend, my Abhi with a grumpy face. Giving him space to walk in, I close the door after him.

"Can I speak now", I ask him very quietly, he just nodded still not facing me.

Clearing my throat, I say" Sorry for the mistake, but it slipped my mind beside I was hungry when I reached home and I didn't mind checking my phone." I then make my famous puppy face which works easily on him.

He just exhales a long breath and walks towards the kitchen. I quickly follow him, when I reach there he was drinking water.

" Are you hungry Abhi". I know him he must not have his dinner because he is directly here from practice.

He just makes a face and says " Is it even a question, of course, I am hungry. Thanks to someone."

"Abhi I said I am sorry. OK let's have dinner together. What say." I am guilty of my act.

Abhi nodded and smiled and cups my face saying " Never do that again, I was worried " we then move towards my room with a bowl of pasta and 2 cups of bournvita milk. When we reach my room I moved toward my balcony and place our food on the table and sit there, while Abhi was using my bathroom to freshen up.

It was like this from childhood, we both were inseparable and uses each other stuff without hesitation. After all, we are best friends. And as for Aashi, we met her in college, I know everyone will think we are from a different field than how do we become best friends.

Well, it was a very interesting event. I still remember that day.

In our college canteen, I and Abhi were having our lunch one day it was a usual day for us, girls were practically throwing themselves on Abhi from some distance of course. With his good looks and famous cricketing skills, Abhi was a pro in college every girl's dream man. Abhi enjoys this attention whereas I was a bookworm. Abhi and I do our lunch together, it was our thing but Abhi always gets attention where ever he goes so today was also no exception. Suddenly one girl came running to our table and claim that Abhi got her pregnant and now don't want to accept her and her baby. By now the girl was crying and Abhi that idiot was coughing like an animal and as for me, my jaw was now touching the floor.

Abhi after gaining his lost tongue Shout" Are you mad or what, I don't even know you. Forget about impregnating you. And for your information, I have a taste, and darling you are nowhere near it. I don't fuck ugly duckling." The whole canteen starts laughing at it, especially Abhi's fangirls.

By now the girl was fuming and for me, I just want to hit Abhi with one of my fat books.

The whole canteen was watching us, the pregnant girl saw this and out of nowhere smacked Abhi on his head with my book that too with a fat one.

" You moron, fuck you it was a prank you didn't need to insult me and for your information, I won't let you touch me forget about impregnating me. You ugly fucker." Students start laughing again but some were quiet, especially girls. But when I came out of my thoughts I found that the girl and Abhi were pulling each other's hair and cursing each other nonstop.

To control the situation, I did something which I never thought you would do.

I pour my hot coffee on both of them.

Well after that we three were suspended from college for 3 days. I was very tense because I had my practical exams after that week and I was not able to attend my classes.

Abhi knows this, he was even sorry for that but that was of no use. Papa was very upset with me because I did something reckless.

When we three came out of the dean's office, I and Abhi were not able to process anything whereas the girl was all happy and smiling.

" Thanks, buddies for helping me out of this boring college." The girl came to us.

" By the way, I am Aashi."

Abhi goes to her and barked " Do you even realize you just played with her career. In a week she was supposed to attend her exam and now she won't be able to attend her classes to prepare for the exam."

When Aashi realize the gravity of the situation she felt bad and came to me, when she saw that I was crying, she immediately says " don't worry you won't miss any of your class. I'll make sure of it." She hugged me and said sorry and then she was gone.

I was in my room with Abhi and Veerji ( my brother) all crying. They were trying to console me when one helper came and said that papa was calling me in his study. I knew that papa was upset and want to have a father-daughter talk. Veerji and Abhi also went with me to see papa when we reached the study room's door. Papa came out and said " I was not expecting this from you too, Why did you do that? " I just started crying again, Papa knew how serious I was for my studies.

He just hugged me, Veerji was just watching all this he said" Papa you want me to talk to her dean once and try to convince her." Papa stuck his head and said, " No need Dean just called me to say that he will revoke their suspension and they can attend their classes from tomorrow." I was not able to believe anything whereas Abhi was happy not for him but me that I was able to attend my classes. Veerji also hugged me and says " now stop crying idiot, I am fed up with this waterwork." Papa immediately said " Veer no teasing. I am happy that my Dora will attend her classes now." Veerji smiles and kisses my forehead.

The next day when we reached the campus, one peon came and asked us to go directly to the dean's office without delay. I and Abhi practically ran towards the dean's office when we reach there all huffing and puffing we saw the same girl Aashi there she was also called to meet our dean. Abhi was not at all happy to see her but was controlling his anger. When she saw us she ran to me and said thank God the dean revoked the suspension, you don't know how much begging it took from me to convince the dean but bhai did it.

I and Abhi were confused that what the hell is she babbling, but before I could ask her dean called us in. When we went inside the cabin, the dean said " Please take a seat you three, so I just want to inform you all that your suspensions are already revoked because of our trustee Mr. Rajvansh. Miss. Aashi here is his sister and he called me to request this." I was confused why would he do that as per my information his sister was happy from suspension so why?

I was in my thoughts when the dean dismissed us.

When we came out Aashi turned to us and said told you. Abhi just made a face and thanked her and asked" but why you did do it. Yesterday you were happy with your suspension still you convince your brother." I also nod at his statement.

Aashi turn towards me and said " for you I did it. I know how bright you are heck whole college every department knows and praises this. And besides, it was my fault." Abhi chuckles at this. Aashi nudges him and continues " I was guilty that in between my prank on college most handsome guy you were also dragged, so I convince my bhai to help beside Arjun bhai is a powerful man when I told him about you he Agreed and said one should never drag an innocent in any mess besides for me he can do anything." And she winked at me and forward her hand and said, " friends" I practically jump on her and hug her saying " friends" she got strangled " wow you are a monkey Anaya, I must say" then she turns to Abhi and said " won't you befriend your pregnant buddy" making a puppy face. Abhi makes a disgusting face while I laugh at them, nevertheless, he also hugs her from there our friendship started and with every passing day, our bond became stronger.

On that day I wrote a note to Mr. Rajvansh thanking him for his help and with a bar of chocolate, I gave to Aashi so that she can deliver my thank you note and a small gift to him. Heck, it was my first ever note to any male.

I came out of my thoughts when Abhi shakes me and practically yell " Dora where are you lost." Yes, Abhi call me Dora because in our Kinder School I use to wear clothes like Dora from the cartoon ' Dora the explorer' and Abhi start calling me by that name coming out of my thought, I stuck my head at him and said " I was just thinking about you, me and Aashi's friendship." Abhi shakes his head and says" what's there to think she was, is, and will always be an idiot." Both of them think the same for each other but when they do any blunder, the first person they call is not me but will be each other.

Idiots.

Then we start eating, talking, and laughing like remembering old days, and after some time Abhi went home and I slept.

Third POV.

While Anaya is in her dreamless sleep. On the other side, Arjun was still in his office to complete his pending work while checking some old files, something falls from one of the files.

When he observed closely and see that it was a note, Arjun clearly remember. Aashi brought this note and practically begged him to read this once because her new BEST FRIEND wrote it for him, and the main thing is it was her first note to any male.

Arjun just make an annoying face and was about to throw that useless note, when his eyes fell on the writing. It was beautiful handwriting, neat and clean just the way he liked it.

He clearly remembers Aashi told him when she came to him, asking NO demanding to talk to her Dean and revoke her friend's suspension that she got because of Aashi's prank. According to Aashi that girl was a bright student and was innocent. But she got punished without any mistake. Her studies will be harmed because of Aashi if Arjun did not help.

At first, he was annoyed because of Aashi's useless demand then he thought and made a deal with her. After all, for him, everything he do was only for his profit. So he asks her that if she promises him to pass her academic year without any blunder he will look into the matter personally.

Aashi knows Arjun, that he will only help in this matter if she agrees, so without delay, she promises him the same. Arjun smirks at her and did his part of the deal.

Now here in his hand was the same note which he never acknowledged, but seeing the writing he wanted to read it for once,

Mr. Rajvansh

Thank you for your help it was because of you that I was able to continue my studies, so thank you once again.

It is my first ever note to any male, so I don't know how it works but I promise you that if in the future you need my help and support, I will be there without any delay. And I assure you that I never break any promise so you can believe me.

After he reads it he has no expression on his face and crumbles the note after that he threw it in the dustbin and smirks at that girl's naiveness. He thought how can she easily promise him something without knowing him. He darkly mummer's " Stupid girl, promising something to the devil."
