Marinettes pov

" So... What have you been doing all day?" I asked my parents. My mom replied first. " Well I was working on some new designs for my company". Dad said that he was doing the same. "All day?" I asked. They both had nervous faces before they both replied "all day". They stared at each other in disbelief before they started fighting with eye contact. I shot Adrien a questioning glance. It read 'what do we do?' He shot back 'I don't know'. "Mum?" I started. "Can I speak with you? Now?" I said, my voice breaking up. "I don't see why not." She simply replied.

We walked out of the dining area and started the conversation. "Why did you lie?" I asked her, and the tears were in my eyes, but I wouldn't let them fall yet. "I don't know what you're taking about." She replied causally. "You and I both know that you've been seeing someone. Why?" I wish I didn't ask why because bad words were heard, and I was pulled back to the dinner table. Adrien had done the same thing with dad.

Then I stood up and said "Why are you doing this to each other? We are pretty sure you both know what has been happening so, why? And for how long?" Adrien looked beyond shocked. "We have been fighting secretly for a year, I have been cheating for 4 months and she has for 3 months. Now that the secrets out, we don't have to hide anything anymore. We are also getting divorced." Dad said coldly, sending multiple glares at mom. "We said we wouldn't tell them yet! What's wrong with you Gabriel?" She shouted back. "They would've found out one way or another!" He yelled back. Now they were endlessly fighting.

"Why would you do that? Why didn't you stick to the plan?" Adrien yelled at me, right before he slapped me across the face. "What are we supposed to do? If this hadn't happened, one day one of them would leave and never come back!" I yelled back. "I would've preferred that!" He yelled back. "So you would've preferred a lie?" I said softly, as the tears started spilling out of my eyes. "YES!" He yelled back, and I flinched.

I then saw dad punch mom right across the face, as she fell to the floor and blood was coming out of her nose. I ran upstairs, grabbed a small duffel bag and packed enough clothes for a week. I took my backpack and put some study books in it. I put my phone charger, some of my allowance, and some other necessary things I would need in there. I took a ladder and carefully climbed out of my window, and locked it on my way out. I put on my jacket and over it I put on a HUGE sweater (one of Adrien's) so that I can cover my face. I started walking. I didn't know where I would go, I just know I needed to get away.

I walked down to shoppers drug mart (a/n for book purposes Paris has shoppers drug mart) since it was open 24-7 and just walked around. I then got a little hungry. I went to the baby section and took the teething baby cookies. They may be for babies but the taste like heaven. I went to the cashier and in the process of buying them she gave a questioning glance. "No questions please" I said before she had a chance.

I walked out only to find it snowing. Great. I keep walking and walking until I don't think I am in Paris anymore. I walk back until I find a shoppers drug mart and I walk inside. Warmth. There was this new section with beds for those who need to 'get away'. I didn't go to the public beds though, I would be found easily.

I went to the cashier with the hood covering my face and put on my best manly voice on I said "Can I book a private room?". "Sure, 10$ a night" the nice lady replied, and I handed her the 10$, got given my key and taken to the room. Adrien has been calling me nonstop since I left, and I keep denying his calls.

I hear the window break, and I carry all my stuff. "Who's there?!" I yell out into darkness. "It's me, old friend." Was the last thing I heard before seeing black.
