Lapis' Pov

"Kay, bye you guys" Jasper, Peridot and I finished our goodbyes with the gem trio and left the theatre.

"I don't like the sight of the tall freak" Jasper grunted

Peridot stood a bit on her top toes and gave Jasper a quick peck.

Which only caused me to be jealous.
I wish I was the one getting all that affection from Peridot.

"Hey Peri how about layin of those on me?"

I felt confident, if I'm going to win Peridot over then I have to be brave.

"Excuse me?"

"A kiss I mean, right here" I said pointing to my cheek

She turned a shade of pink and looked up at Jasper. Jasper nodded and Peridot walked a bit over to me.

I can't believe this is happening! Yes! Thank you Jasper!

I looked over at Jasper and she was wearing a smile along with a scary face that said 'don't have to much fun it's just a kiss'.

I got goosebumps.

Then Peridot gave me a peck on the cheek. I felt my face heat up, I looked at Peridot. Being the same height I could easily look into her eyes.

Her eyes...
My oh my. Jasper was so right.

Her eyes were the prettiest sparkly shade of green.

"N-nice eyes" I managed to speak up

"Thank you I've been told" she walked back up to Jasper and hugged her arm.

"So you guys ready??"

"lets go get ready for the party! Woo!" Jasper began to shout while walking out being shushed by Peridot.

I followed them to the car and soon we got to peridot's house (with her help navigating me of course).

"We'll be right back Lapis, just going to use the bathroom for a sec" and with that Jasper pulled them to the bathroom in Peri's room.

I walked over and flopped onto Peridot's bed.

So soft.

Oh what's this?
It smells like..
like Peridots' shampoo scented hair.
So good.

I could hear their mumbling from here though.

"I don't want to, I don't even know her that much" I could hear Peridot say to Jasper

"Cmon you've got to live a little, just think people from our school may see you at the party" Jasper tried to reason with her, for what reason? I have no idea

"So?"

"So that means people will know by the time we go back to school tomorrow, nobody will even care"

"But Jasper~"

"Hey don't talk like that or else I'm going to have to eat you up right here" I shuddered at the thought

"Anyways if anyone even tries to mess with you after t'night I'll beat the living crap out of em"
after that Jasper walked out and gave me a smile with a little wave so I waved back.

"Hey, lapis" Jasper had whispered to me.

"What?" I whispered back

"I've gotten Peridot to take em off"

"No way really??"

"Yea but Peri's super self conscious about her body so I hope everything turns out all right after this"

"Oh"

The bathroom door opened and there stood Peridot. Both me and Jasper stood up quickly. She's so short!

"W-woah cute.." I said quietly

"s-so? Are we going to get ready for that party or what?"

"Yessir" Jasper shouted

"Can I-i can I hug you?" I squeaked out

"What?"

"I said can i um hu- I know what you said but honestly the nerve, I've already given you a kiss can't you just quit?" I kept my mouth shut and looked over to Jasper with a face that shouted 'help me!'

"Haha calm down there sweetie" Jasper walked over to Peridot with her arms open wide

"Don't you sweetie me, I'm already agreeing to this so don't you both push your luck!" And with that she shut us out from the bathroom.

Her personality totally changed!

"Oh yea I forgot to mention that she may or may not have moods from time to time"

"Your telling me"

-Time skip-

I put on some clothes that were in Peridot's closet. I had a blue and white striped shirt on and some light blue shorts to match. Jasper had some extra jeans in her backpack, she chose to wear those with her football team jacket.

We both finished getting dressed and waited on Peridot's bed watching tv till she came out.

The door creaked open and Peridot came out slowly.

"I-I apologize for the way I had acted but I'm ready to go and you two seem ready as well so let's head out now"

She was wearing a high waisted lime green skirt, a light cream colored shirt along with knee high socks.

"Cute" Jasper said

"Sh-shut up! I'll be waiting in the car lapis!" She yelled then left slamming the door.

"Lets head out then" I got up leaving the room

"Yea!" Jasper shouted

Peridot's Pov

I started to change my mind.
There is no way I'm going in that house.

The front yard was a mess. streamers, and confetti covered the fake green grass. You could see wasted teenagers on the front lawn and people hanging from the windows and balconies. Disco lights could be seen flashing everywhere.

"I feel over dressed" I say aloud

"I'll just go back home and change into something more suitable.." I laugh nervously and begin to walk back

"Oh no you don't cmon lets get going" Jasper and Lapis both put on puppy faces and I just couldn't say no

I let out a small grunt "fine"

We went inside and split up for a bit, nothing good comes out of these parties I think to myself.

Jasper would text me every now and then to check up on me.

Lapis' Pov

"Cmon Peridot let some loose" I said in an attempt to make her more comfortable

"I do not require letting anything else loose as you already know"

she's hopeless.

"Is there anyone you know here?" I made another attempt to make small talk

"No..."

"Nobody?"

"No..-wait actually I think maybe there is" Peridot took a hold of my hand and led me around the house till she had found her target.

"There she is!" Peridot walked up to a tall muscular gem who wore dark shades.

"H-hello Garnet!" Peridot let out a bright grin

"Hey there Peridot, seems you've gotten shorter I see" she chuckled and gave her a wink.

"what are you doing at a party like this?"

"Oh I'm here accompanied by Jasper and Lapis"

Me and Garnet introduced ourselves and then she left after a good fifteen minutes.

Peridot was getting tired so we found a couch -that wasn't full of couples eating each other's faces- and sat there.

"Why don't we just leave?" I asked her as she cuddled up onto me and layed down on my chest.

"Jasper really has fun at parties like these, plus I wanna wait for her" she said as she wrinkled her nose up

"Okay then" I took a slow breath

"You wanna take a nap while we wait?"

I didn't bother waiting for an answer after I heard her soft snores.

After what felt like a good twenty minutes I woke to soft music playing that surrounded my ears.

I turned to see Jasper driving with her hands rested gently on the wheel.

She glanced at me and let out a grunt.

"Your awake, how'd you sleep? You didn't drink did you?"

No of course I didn't.

"Okay and nope"

I turned my head to the back to see Peridot laying in the back seats with Jasper's big jacket engulfing her.

I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep again till we got to Jasper's house.

I sat up unbuckling myself and opened the car door.

"Oh hey Lapis could you grab Peri's glasses?"

I took a hold of Peridot's glasses that had sat in he cup holder beside me and got out.

I walked around to Jasper -where she was getting Peridot out- so she could open the house.

I watched her pick Peridot up as soft as possible, possibly as an effort to not wake her.

Peridot stirred and left her eyes half-lidded while being carried into the house.

Jasper showed me to a room with two beds. She said I could take the other bed as she laid Peridot down onto the one closest to the window.

"Mmm.."

"Sh shh shh baby" Jasper cooed Peridot

"K.."

"What? What is it babe?" I laid onto the bed and watched the couple as I waited for Jasper to switch the lights off.

"Kiss.. kiss" Peridot lifted her arms up weakly.

Jasper chuckled giving her a soft peck.

"Night Peri"

She switched the lights off and I slowly drifted to sleep. I gently put my hand over my cheek as I heard Peridot's light snoring. I ran the scenes of today over my head.
