Lapis' Pov

I eventually met up with Jasper and Peridot, we got our lunch and went out to eat in the courtyard.

We chose to sit at a circular table, all of us sitting at one side. We ate in silence till Jasper grunted then spoke up.

"There's a party going on tomorrow night, you two losers wanna come with me?" Jasper asked putting on a wicked grin

Peridot shifted uncomfortably, made eye contact with me then looked over at Jasper.

She cleared her throat. "It's the middle of the week Jasper, I need to get the rest I need" Jasper scooted over to her and fiddled with Peridot's hands.

"Cmon I bet Lapis' comin, aren't ya?" I thought for a moment about the question directed to me.

"Yea sure I'll go" Jasper then said a hooray and began to beg Peridot till she said yes.

Jasper left to get some chips from a vending machine leaving me and peridot.

There was silence between us while we ate.

"So um whaddya gonna wear?" I asked her, my voice cracked leaving me embarrassed.

"I'm not one hundred percent sure yet, you can come over to my house though and help me pick something" she took her phone out and tapped onto it then handed it to me

"here put your number in, I'll call you to let you know when to come over" I grabbed her phone and punched my digits in.

"There you go" I said entering the last number.

"Kay thanks, I'm going to be with Jasper after school so she'll probably be home with me too when I call you" she said letting me know all the details.

"Hey losers what are y'all talkin about?" Jasper came back with some hot chips and jumped into her seat.

"Nothing much I was just telling lap-" Jasper cut off Peridot's sentence with a kiss. Peridot gripped onto Jasper's chest trying to pull away. Her face was bright red while Jasper's held a smile.

Jasper pulled away and laughed with a smirk.

"J-Jasper!" Peridot said standing up "there was no need for that" she said pouting

"Yes there was, I felt like kissing you so I just helped myself" Jasper said back at her and opened her bag of chips.

Peridot sat back down and began to eat her sandwich while mumbling.

"Wants some chips with that?" Jasper asked her nudging peridot with her shoulder.

"Yes please" peridot mumbled

I stood up to throw my trash away feeling awkward as I watched the two.

"Lapis where are you going??" Peridot asked

she then got up and walked over to me. I looked over to the side to see Jasper talking with some other Jasper's and quartz jocks.

"I was just throwing my trash away" I said to her and I watched her face go up a light tint of pink.

"Oh" she walked with me as I threw my trash away.

"So I'm guessing you don't usually go to these party's?"

"No not really, i don't fit in with the party crowds much. I'm used to studying hard and showing up for club meetings and what not" she looked at me and grinned

"Sorry I'm rambling"

"No no it's okay I enjoy hearing you talk" I told her. she smiled and walked back to the table with me.

"Peridot come here and get lapis over here lemme introduce her to my teammates" I followed peridot and stood next to her while she was beside Jasper.

"Those four are apart of the red jasps, over here we have some orange jasps and a few of our lil runt amethysts" she said waving her hand around

"Hey nice meeting you"

"Yo what up"

"Hey"

A couple greetings were exchanged then they went back to having their own conversations

"Heyo jasper! when are ya gonna let me have a bite of your Peridot?" I looked over to see a tall thin jasp. She snickered and began to laugh with Jasper as they joked around.

"Jasper I'm going to go to the art room, I left my smaller bag in there okay?"

"Alright babe" Jasper said and responded with a peck on peridot's forehead

"Cmon lapis" Peridot told me leading me away and into the school

"So what do you think of the football team?" She asked on our way

"they seem lively"

"Oh They sure are"

-Time Skip-

Peridot and I had stopped by the art room to get her bag then we split up again. She said she had to stop by the library because she's one of the helpers.

It's a club period so I've decided to see what everyone has to offer. I thought of maybe joining robotics or gardening. I ended up stopping at the library and following Peridot around.

Without her knowing. It sounds creepy but it isn't I swear I'm just interested in her. I know she's in a relationship with Jasper but I can't help feel the way I do.

I watch as she pushes a cart around heading for the science section. I watch her from behind some books. Then I see a tall buff amethyst walk up to her. She puts her arm against a shelf and starts talking to Peridot while she shelfs some books.

I move closer to hear what they're saying (so I stand behind the shelf that Peridot is working on).

"Listen pumpkin"

"I'm not your pumpkin" Peridot says back but her voice is shaky. Peridot pushes the cart forward more and I follow behind the shelf crouching.

"Hey don't be like that, how bout we ditch the rest of the school da- I'm not doing anything with you, please leave me alone" Peridot cut her off and pushed her glasses up feeling as thought they were slipping off.

She then grabbed Peridot's arm and lifted her up.

She had her in the air by her arm.

I decided to step in at this time just as the library doors slammed open.

"Amethyst?!" Jasper's voice boomed throughout the library. I knew she looked menacing before but her voice filled with anger put a whole new view onto her.

Many students scrambled out leaving the few students who decided to stay which were probably working on projects or school work.

The big Amethyst let go of Peridot causing her to fall down to the floor with a thud. I stood where I was debating with myself if wether I should move or not.

Amethyst shot a loud whistle from her mouth which alerted Jasper of where they were.

"When I was told of this I didn't wanna believe it, you should know by now what belongs to me!" Jasper shouted out to the amethyst. I stayed in my place deciding this was none of my business.

I looked over to Peridot to see her pick herself up and crawl over to Jasper. Jasper looked down at her and let an angry expression take hold of her face.

She then picked up Peridot the same way the amethyst did. I heard Peridot whimper.

"J-Jasper pleas- let go-o it really hurts this time.." Peridot choked on her words a few times. Jasper's face softened at the sight and she quickly pulled Peridot into a hug.

I ran off not knowing what to do, I didn't want to get caught up on some drama when I've only just gotten here.
