Gabby's POV
Brian had to leave for London. I was sad for we felt a close bond. I loved him, and he loved me back. He's my best friend and I absolutely could not be more thankful.

Brian didn't care that I wasn't a rock star like him. Or that I wasn't an astrophysicist. All that matter was me being happy and even the littlest thing Brian did, like sending a heart in a text or just being there for me when I'm upset, that was enough.

I thought maybe with Brian gone I would have time for myself. No more ghost hauntings.

I was finishing up my math homework and then decided, I already studied for an hour. I could use a break. I decided to play the piano in my music room.

Only to see TWO things: Freddie Mercury on the piano bench AND a baby cat!!!!!! ON TOP ON THE PIANO!!!!!

"Hello darling. Did you really think even when Brian left I would too?"

"Frankly, yes. God this is absolutely ANNOYING!!!! Can't you haunt somebody else?"

"I can't. Not after I found this little baby stray in your trash can looking for food. She reminds me of my cat Delilah"

"Freddie I am NOT a cat person. I HATE cats!!!!"
"Funny, I don't remember you ever saying that when we were together"

Together? What was he talking about? I honestly couldn't take it anymore so I just decided to do the only thing I felt like doing.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" I LITERALLY SCREAMED!!!!!

Meanwhile all the kitten did was chew its tail. I tried not to smiled but I smiled.

"Damnit. Stop chewing your tail. It's adorable"

"You do realize the cat is a girl, right darling?"

He smirked and added, "And I thought you didn't like cats"

"I don't know. They're annoying, like YOU haunting me. Why do you even decide to give me a cat?"

"If I can't haunt you 24/7, now I have a little friend to further the haunting. Enjoy mini Delilah darling"

"FREDDIE!!!" But it was no use. He disappeared AGAIN...stupid invisible man. Or was it invisible ghost?

As I went back to my room, the little kitten walked right behind me. She even jumped onto my bed. Like my god.

"Don't think because you're a baby kitten that I'm keeping you. I swear I'm kicking you out!!! Just GET OUT YOU WORTHLESS CAT!!!!!!"

"GABBY ROBERTS" I heard a new voice yell from my phone.

Oh great. Brian HAD to FaceTime me at this exact moment.

"Brian—I—UH—IT'S NOT WHAT YOU THINK!!!!"

Brian looked at me with a "Don't lie to me" face.

"This bloody stray sneaked into my home after searching for food in my trash cans!!!"

"Starlight, what did I tell you about animals?"
"That they deserve the same rights?"
"That's right. And if this little kitten wants to be your friend, then you let her. Okay?"

The cat kept purring and meowing. She lied on my pink pillow next to me.

"I'm sorry Brian. But I'm really not a cat person"
"Well this little kitty seems to think you yelling at her means you're upset and she wants to make you feel better. Although, I do wonder HOW she got into your house?"

"Gee, I wonder why?" I sarcastically smiled and glared at Freddie's ghost who just so happen to reappear in my room. Freddie just smirked at me.

"Well Brian, how you do expect me to take care of a cat?"

"Well starlight, I DID live with a crazy cat man in the band for most of my life"

"Heeeeeyyy. I am NOT a crazy cat man!!!!" Freddie yelled at me. 

"You're right Brian. He wasn't a crazy cat man. He was a crazy cat lady!!!!!"

"HEY!!!!" Freddie glared at me.

"Oh starlight. You do make me smile even when we're an ocean apart" Brian said, bursting into laughter.

"So does this little one. Oh my god!!! BRIAN!!! She doesn't have a name!!! My god what do I name a cat like her?"

"I don't know. Freddie was the one who named the cats. But I'm sure it'll come to you"

"You're right Bri. I can't wait to come to London to see you. October feels like a lifetime away"

"It's only the 21st of September. We'll be together in October before you know it. Now I got to go starlight. But remember your best friend, who loves you so much" 

"I love you too Brian, my best friend"

Then we hung up. I didn't know what to name the kitten who currently was looking up at me.

"OH THANK GOD!!!! I thought he'd never leave"

Wait a minute. If Brian didn't call me...

"It was YOU who turned on my phone. You were the one who called him" I glared at him.

Even the kitten glared at him with a "Don't give me bullshit face" 

Then she started to smell my Queen vinyl of their Greatest Hits. Worst part, she was smelling FREDDIE!!!!

"Hey, don't smell my face!!!!" Freddie complained.

Hmmmm....I wondered...I decided to play Queen on my phone and chose the song, "Another One Bites The Dust"

"Meow. Meow. Meow" She meowed to the first three beats of the bass line. One look and I knew EXACTLY what to name her.

"Mercury, I'm naming you Mercury" I told her and she high fives my hand in response. 

THREE WEEKS LATER
"Gabby love. Are you ready? Is everything packed?"
My mom asked me.

"Yes mom. Even Mercury's stuff is packed too"

You may wonder why I don't talk about my parents and my everyday life routine. To be honest, I'm more focused on the stuff outside my life. Besides, I study hard and always help my parents with their time travel experiments. In this case, we held off both that and my schoolwork so I could go to London a week early.

Mercury won over my parents heart. They saw how tiny she was and that she never left me alone, not even to take a shower. So of course we adopted her, and now she's my pet kitten.

Needless to say, Freddie actually did win the game.  Now I'm raising a kitten. However, she's not haunting me. She actually loves to play with me, little darling.

"Come on Mercury. Get into the bag. We got a flight to catch. And then we're gonna meet your Uncle Bri" I cooed at Mercury. Mercury just meowed and then fell asleep in her bag.

By the time we got all our bags checked in, we made it on time to the plane. Brian insisted we fly first class as a special treat for the three of us.

As I knew we would have a very long flight from the US to the UK, I decided to just watch a movie.

"Hey mom?" I asked.
"Yes amors?" She replied.
"Are you sure you're alright with me being friends with Brian?"
"Gabby, why would you ask that?"
"I'm just nervous I guess. I mean a week with Brian and then the WORLD premiere of Bohemian Rhapsody"

My mom held my hand and said to me,"Everything is going to be fine. You'll see" then she kissed my cheek.

Mercury chose this moment to wake and go, "Meow?"

My mom and I both laughed, looking forward to meeting Brian.

"Gabby. Clara. Erik. Oh I'm SO glad you made it" Brian exclaimed.

Gosh he was just so very welcoming and sweet it made me want to melt in a puddle. So of course I hugged him.

By the time we arrived to Brian's house, Anita was there.
"Nice to see you again Gabby. I hope you enjoy your stay here" and gave me a warm hug.

I was absolutely amazed at how beautiful the house was. Of course I noticed Brian had a piano and immediately ran to it.

"This was Freddie's piano you know. He played it on tours with us. Always said he was a mediocre piano player but I personally thought he was wonderful"

At the mention of piano, Mercury popped out of my bag and meowed again.

"Oh and is this your little trouble maker?" Brian asked as he petted Mercury.

"Oh yes. This is Mercury!!!" I cooed at the little one.

"Wow Gabby. She really does look like Delilah" Brian said as he petted behind her ears.

"She really does Brian" I said as we both petted her.
"Hey little one. This is your Uncle Bri" I cooed at her as she licked Brian's hand.

I knew then and there this week with Brian was gonna be great.

"WOO HOO!!!!! I'm on top of the world!!!"

"Actually starlight, we're on a double decker red bus. But with you, I feel like the world disappears because I only need you"

I smacked his arm as we rode the bus and went to Big Ben. I couldn't believe it. I was seeing London for the first time.

Afterwards, Brian took me shopping to a wonderful dress shop and asked me to pick a dress. In the end, I just decided to buy a necklace cause I don't know anything about London fashion.

But the best part was Brian's surprise.

"A badger?" I asked.

"Yes. I rescue badgers and foxes and hedgehogs"
"Oh my!!!"

Brian laughed at my response and let me pet the badger. The badger, oddly enough, let me pet him.

"He likes you Gabby. Animals feel just like we do. That's why I wanted you to keep Mercury starlight. I could tell you and her need each other"

Brian paused for a moment and then let the badger go walk in the grass.

"Gabby how DID you name Mercury?"

"Well she kept sniffing my Queen Greatest Hits Vinyl...well she kept sniffing Freddie's face. So I decided to play Another One Bites The Dust and she meowed to the bass"

Brian chuckled. He seemed to be quite amused by the story of Mercury's name.

"Well Gabby, why don't we check the rest of the animals and then go off to dinner?"

As we walked away, I noticed Freddie again in the field, near the pond. This time though, he just smiled and waved goodbye to me. But I had a feeling, this wouldn't be the last time I saw him. 

Boy was I in for one hell of a ride.
