Girl Meets Pluto.

Emily's POV

We were in history class.

"Somebody read that." Matthews says.

"History will be kind to me for I intend to write it" Winston Churchill." I read.

"And he did. Who's gonna write their own history here? What is history? I keep forgetting." He says.

"History is time passing." Riley says.

"Oh yeah? How much time? Someone once said, "100 years from now, all new people." He says.

Maya raises her hand. "100 years!"

"Wrong." Matthews says.

"You set me up." She says.

"When should you guys begin to make your own history? " Mr. Matthews asks.

"Right now." Riley says.

"Good. So, today we're talking about Winston Churchill. When the new people come, how do you want them talking about you?"

"Nicely?" Riley asks.

"How long do we have before history makes its decision about us?" Maya asks.

"What if they're writing it down now?" Farkle asks.

"Doesn't matter. Chapter one: Introduction. Please read." Matthews says.

"There is a comfort in knowing that history is fixed. You can no sooner change history than you can change the nine planets in our solar system from Mercury to Pluto." Riley reads from the text book.

"Oh." The whole class says.

"What?"

"Nice job, Mr. Matthews." Lucas says to him.

"What'd he do?" Riley asks Lucas.

"He just showed us history books can be wrong. You can change history." Lucas says.

"I don't get it." Riley says.

"How can she not know?" Lucas asks.

"Look at the bird!" I exclaim. Riley looks for a bird.

"She doesn't know because she has us." Maya says.

"The Riley Committee." Farkle says.

"The committee exists to keep certain information away from Riley." I say.

"Like what?" Lucas asks.

"Everything, really." Farkle says.

"Listen, this committee can't protect her for the rest of her life. She's getting too smart."

"She's looking for a bird." Farkle says.

"Well, someone's gotta tell her."

"You do it." I say to him.

"Nah, you do it!" I glare at him before turning to Riley.

"Hi, sweetie." I say to Riley.

"Emy." She says.

"See, we've all been protecting you from something. You know Pluto?" I ask her,

"Pluto? I love Pluto. Everybody knows that. Pluto's a little cutie-pie. The smallest planet with the biggest heart. I love Pluto so much, I would kiss it on the face." She says. I look at Matthews. I can't do it.

"Not doing it!" I exclaim.

"You're doing it!" Matthews says. Oh god.

"Honey?" I ask Riley.

"Emy?" She asks me.

"Pluto is not a planet anymore." I say carefully.

"What's that you say?" Riley asks me.

"They made a scientific discovery that Pluto's not a planet anymore. Will you be okay?" I ask her.

"I'm fine. I am too old now to flip out over something like that. Dad, please continue." I look at her somewhat worried.

"You sure, sweetie?" He asks his daughter.

"Please continue." Riley says sadly.

"All right, guys. So, we're talking about who we are now, and who we hope to be someday. How will we write our own history and decide what's important to us?" He continues.

"They found a 100-year-old time capsule in Boston last week. Could we do one of those?" Farkle asks.

"I love that idea, Farkle. In fact, we did one of those when I was in high school. We were gonna see what became of us in 15 years. Wait a minute. We were gonna see what became of us right now! We were gonna go back and see how much we've changed."

"Yeah, well, I hope some of us never do." Maya says looking at Riley.

I sigh.

----

We were sitting at Topanga's. I was thinking about what I could put in the time capsule, I didn't really know what I could. I don't have much.

I was sitting next to Lucas and Farkle. Riley and Maya sat on a chair.

"How can they just do that?" Riley asks us. "She works her whole life to become a planet, and then it's just taken away from her. Do our hopes and dreams even matter?"

"Well, in 15 years, we're gonna find out." Lucas says.

"A buffalo nickel. That's what you're putting in the time capsule?" Farkle asks him.

"Yeah, my grandfather gave it to me for... anyway, my grandfather gave it to me." Lucas answers.

"No, no, no, no, no, no, no, for what?" Maya asks. "Pappy Joe gave it to you for what?" Maya asks. I let out a laugh.

"Don't call his grandfather pappy Joe." Riley tells her.

"It actually was pappy Joe." Lucas says, I laugh.

"You knew that?" Riley asks me.

"Eh, it would've been anything she said." I say to them.

"Why'd he give you the nickel? Why?" Farkle asks.

"Nothing. He gave it to me for being a good little boy." He replies.

"No, no, no, no, no, no, tell us." Maya says.

"I was a little kid, I want to a kiddie rodeo, and I was the only one who made it the whole eight seconds." Lucas says.

"You rode a bull?" I ask him.

"It was sort of like a bull." He says.

"Here comes funny." Maya and I both say. We share a smile.

"I rode a sheep." Lucas says. We all start laughing. "It's a real thing! It's called mutton busting. Riley, you're laughing at me?"

"No... " She says.

"I wanted to be a rodeo star. But, I got older and gave up on it." He says.

"Aww, don't ever give up on your sheep riding dreams. You go out there, and you become the best sheep rider the world has ever seen." Katy says walking over.

"Mom, what are you doing?" She asks her mom.

"As long as I'm here, I've decided to give out valuable life-living advice. Like Cory and Topanga. So, you all come to me when you're feeling lost in this world, and I'm gonna fix you right up." Katy answers.

"Nah, we're good." Farkle says.

"Do not let your sheep-riding disappointment prevent you from dreaming dreams. As I look back at my life, the only regrets I have are the dreams I gave up on too soon.

"Wow. Thank you. That's good advice." Lucas replies.

"Yes, it is!" She says then looks at Farkle's item for the box. "Hey, nice trophy, the Farkle."

"Thanks, the Maya's mom. It's my science fair lifetime achievement award." Farkle says.

"Forget science, you dream dreams!" She says pointing at him.

"But..." He starts.

"Okay." Katy says then walks away.

"What are you putting in, Maya?" Riley asks Maya.

"Nothing. No hopes, no disappointments. What about you?" She replies.

I don't know why it's so important for me to care about something that's so far away. But, I do. I'm putting in Pluto.

"Well, it's small enough. Ha!"

"Farkle!" I scold. I smack him on the arm.

"Too soon?" He asks. I nod. "So Emy, what are you putting in the box?" He asks me.

"I don't really have anything to put in." I say.

Shawn, Cory and Topanga walk in.

"Road trip!" Cory exclaims.

"Who wants to go instead of me?" Topanga asks.

"I'll go. I'll do anything with anybody." Farkle says.

"No deal. There's not enough room in the car for you and all your words." Cory says then looks at the box. "What's this here?"

"This is what we're putting in our time capsule." Lucas answers.

"Oh... Nope. Not good enough." Cory says.

"These things are important to us." Riley says.

"Why are there only three of them?" Topanga asks.

"I'm not playing." Maya says.

"Oh, you're playing!" Cory tells her. He looks at me. "What are you putting in?"

"I don't have anything to put in." I say.

"Nice shovel shirt." Maya says to him, taking the attention away from me.

"They got plenty left." He tells her.

"I don't see how." She replies.

"Mr. Shawn." Katy says.

"Miss Katy." Shawn replies.

"How are you? How's the writing?" Katy asks.

"Well, I was doing a story in Philadelphia till my friend here brought me to New York so we could go back to Philadelphia. How's the acting?" Shawn says.

"I was playing a waitress at the nighthawk diner, and now I'm playing a waitress here." Katy tells him.

"It's your real life." Maya says.

"It can't be." She replies.

"Well, I'm kinda liking this movie." Shawn says.

"Come on! It's a chance to go back and see what time has taught us. Come on, it's our history! You and me, Feeny, Shawn and Angela." Cory says happily. Angela? Who's Angela?

"Give me a shovel. No reason. Give me a shovel and your head." Topanga says. I let out a small laugh.

"Who's Angela?" Katy asks.

"Oh, you know. Someone who used to be in my life." Shawn replies.

"Ah, yes. Well, we all have one of those, don't we?" Katy says.

"Do you miss her? I know I'd miss Emily if I didn't see her for a long time. Do you think your old feelings will get all stirred up for her? And you'll miss her? And you'll go back and live wherever she is?" I look at Farkle. Why did he only say me? I would have thought he would have said Maya and Riley too. I look at the two girls who just smile at me. I look at them, confused, before going back to the conversation at hand.

"Yeah, Mr. hunter, you gonna get some feelings all stirred up?"

"Maya, Emily, all of a sudden, I think we should be going with them. Do you think we should go?" She asks.

"We're going with you." I say.

"All right. Katy, do you mind if we take Emily and Maya off your hands for the weekend?" Topanga asks Katy.

"Have fun, baby girls." Katy tells us. I smile at her.

"Okay." Cory says with a shrug.

All right, girls, grab a shovel." Topanga says.

"We're digging up the past! Yay." Shawn says unenthusiastic.

I look at Farkle. "Bye." I say,

"Bye Em." He says, I smile then leave with Cory, Shawn, Maya, Riley and Topanga.

So I am doing this episode into two parts. I don't have to much time to do this cause I do want to update another book before I go to sleep. It's already 1 am here and I'm moving tomorrow. After my dad saying we were, then we weren't, and now we are again. So I won't be able to update for a few weeks maybe. My tablet broke so I can't use it and I wont have my friends laptop anymore to use so. It will be a little while until I update again. I already know what Emily is putting in the time capsule, I figured it out when I was typing this so. Please comment. Thanks for reading. Bye.

-Kelly.
