Max's POV 

We were on the Lookout on Earth, which was where Supreme Kai said the sacred water was. Callia, Lucy and I Supreme Kai inside. "So this sacred water can turn everyone back to normal?" Lucy asked. 

"That's right." Supreme Kai answered. 

"How come no one thought of using it about a year ago when Baby was weaker?" Callia asked. 

"Well, you see," Supreme Kai tried to explain. 

"She is right you know," I added. "If we used the sacred water earlier, then maybe we could've defeated Baby." 

"Um, there's the throne room," Supreme Kai said, changing the subject. "This is where Old Kai said the sacred water was suppose to be at." 

'Wait a minute,' I thought. 'Now I know why the sacred water sounds so familiar, it's the stuff Gohan used when Garlic Jr was trying to take over the Earth! They used it turn everyone back to normal.'

When we got inside, we saw jugs and jugs of water. "So all of this is sacred water?" Callia asked. 

"I'm not sure." Supreme Kai answered. 

"I think it was in a bottle," I said. Everyone turned to look at me. "What? I mean, I remember Gohan saying something about how the sacred water was in a small bottle." 

"Is this the one?" Lucy asked, taking a bottle from off the shelf. It was the same bottle that Garlic Jr tried to keep away from Gohan. 

"That's it!" I answered. "That's the one we're looking for."

"Too bad you won't be able to use." a voice said from behind. We all turned to see Dende and Mr. Popo standing there. 

"Darn it, I forgot about Dende and Mr. Popo." I spoke. 

"Look, we don't want any trouble here." Supreme Kai told the two. 

"Those who go against Baby must die." Dende said. 

"Lucy, give me the bottle." I instructed. Lucy threw the bottle my way and I quickly grabbed it and opened it. "Hope your thirsty." I threw the water out at Dende and Mr. Popo, who caught some in their mouths. They both went on their knees as red vapor came from their bodies and they both screamed in agony. When they stopped screaming the stood up. 

"What happened?" Dende asked as he looked around. "What are you guys doing here?" 

"You guys are back to normal," Supreme Kai said with a smile. "All right, we got to get going girls." 

We three nodded and went over to Supreme Kai, who teleported us out of there.

When we were on solid ground again, we found ourselves back on the Tuffle planet, the outskirts of the city is what it looked like. As I looked around, I saw something, or rather someone, passed out on the ground. I got better look at the person and shouted, "Trunks!" as I ran to his uncoscious body. He was still alive! 

"Carefully," Supreme Kai instructed. "We can't wake him up fully yet. He's still under Baby's control so we need to give him the sacred water." 

I nodded and opened the bottle. As I poured the liquid into Trunks' mouth I prayed in the back of my head that it would work. Suddenly, the red vapor was coming out out from Trunks' body. He held his throat with his hands and I wanted so badly to reach out to him, but I held my hands firmly at the side- my hands balled up into fists. 

When Trunks finally stopped screaming he slowly opened his blue eyes and looked into my eyes. I could tell that the evil was gone by the way he looked at me. "Trunks?" I asked. "Are you okay?" 

He slowly sat up and looked at me. "Max, what happened?" he asked as he rubbed his head. 

Tears welled up in my eyes and I quickly wrapped my arms around Trunks. The tears soaked into his shirt as I cried. "Trunks," I sobbed. "I missed you so much." 

"Max, please stop crying," Trunks told me. "I hate it when you cry." 

I wiped the tears away from my face and smiled at Trunks, who smiled back. Callia and Lucy coughed, making Trunks and I turn away from each other with blushes on our faces. 

"Sorry to interrupt this moment but we still have a bad guy to fight." Callia said. 

"Right, sorry." I said as I got up. 

"Trunks, you and Max should go ahead and stall Baby," Supreme Kai instructed. "We'll catch up in a little bit." 

"Right," Trunks said with a nod. "Let's go Max." 

I nodded and followed Trunks in the air so we could fight Baby. As we flew towards Goku and Baby, I explained what had happened over the whole year; about how Pan, Lucy, Callia and I trained, how we had fought a few times, and how I had became a Super Saiyan. 

"So you actually became a Super Saiyan?" Trunks questioned. 

"Yep," I answered. "Pretty surprising right?" 

"I'll say." Trunks replied. As we continued flying, I felt like there was tension in the air. The awkward silence was really getting to me. "Max......were you, scared?" 

"Scared?" I asked. "Of what?" 

"Of me," Trunks said. "You said I fought you right? You weren't scared I was going to kill you?" 

I shook my head. "I wasn't," I answered. "Trunks, what I was scared of was the fact that I couldn't get through to you. I thought you were unable to break free of Baby's control. I thought.....that I wasn't ever going to get you back. That's why I was crying back there." 

Trunks stopped in mid-air, which made me stop as well. He looked at me with his passionate eyes and then took a firm hold of my hands. "Max, while I was under Baby's control, there was only one thing that kept me from giving up," he explained. "That one thing was you." I gasped with shock. I was the one thing that kept him from giving in? "I was there, in my mind, and a lot of times I felt like fading away. Then, I would remember you. You kept me going." 

There was a big blush on my face now. I didn't know what to say. Slowly, Trunks leaned towards me and I leaned towards him. Our lips were inches apart when an explosion went off in the distance. "That's not good." I said. 

"Let's go." Trunks said as he began to fly with my hand still in his hand. 

As we flew closer and closer to battle, all I could think of was this; he was back. Trunks was back.
