Sorry guys! I know I haven't updated in a while but it's just that with my leg breaking and everything I've need some rest from time to time. Now that I'm on bed rest then maybe I can update more quickly. Anyway, let the story continue. 

Max's POV 

Let me just say that seeing a giant Great Ape was pretty cool, yet terrifying. Plus it was golden so that kind of added to the awesomeness factor. 'Please don't it Baby, please don't let it Baby.' I thought.

As I looked at the beast, I realized that the energy coming from it wasn't Baby's energy but Goku's! Goku was alive! But then it hit me that he wasn't in control due to the fact that he was in great ape form. But how did he turn into a golden great ape? 

"Max!" I heard some say from behind me. 

I turned to see Lucy, Callia, Pan and Hercule heading my way. 

"Max, you're okay." Lucy said with a smile. 

"Yeah," I said. "But why was I left here unconscious?" 

"Well," Callia tried to say. "We were kind of trying to fight Baby and figured that leaving you here was a pretty good option." 

"Yeah, that makes so much sense." I said sarcastically. 

"Look, we have more important things to worry about now," Pan interrupted. "Grandpa has turned into a great ape and we need to snap him out of it." 

"Right." we all agreed.

We all made our way to the rock formation where the great ape Goku was. He had his arms stretched out towards the Earth and it sounded like he was wanting to return to the planet he loved. 

"What's he doing?" Lucy asked. 

"It looks like he wants to go home." Callia said. 

"Then maybe he has more control than I thought." I said. 'Eith

"You miss your home I know Grandpa," Pan spoke as she approached Goku. "I miss it too Grandpa but this isn't helping." Pan then flew towards her grandfather's face. "Grandpa, do you know who I am? I'm your granddaughter Pan. You came here to defeat Baby so we could all go home." 

Goku began to growl a little before he slapped Pan to the ground. 

"Pan!" we three yelled as we went to her aid. 

Slowly, the young girl sat up and looked over at a small gi that fell out of her bag. She held it close to her body and looked like she was going into deep thought. Pan then flew back up towards Goku and we came with her. 

"Do you remember this?" Pan asked. "It's the outfit you gave me when I first appeared at the martial arts tournament. It's one of my most prized possessions." 

Goku started growling again and that made us a little nervous. 

"You've got to try and remember Goku." I told him. 

However, the great ape just shot some air out at us and sent us back a bit. Pan looked ready to cry. "It's useless, his heart must have turned into an animal along with the rest of him." 

"Hey, what's that he got in his hand?" Callia asked. 

We all looked back up at Goku and saw that a small photo was in hand. He looked at it with curiosity and we all flew up towards him. When I looked at the photo, I saw that it was a picture of all the Z-fighters at the beach. It looked to be around the time Pan was just a little baby. 

Tears gathered in Pan's eyes as she looked at the picture. "That's when we all went to the beach when I was just a baby." she said. She looked up at Goku. "Grandpa, you can't forget your family, I won't let you."

As a small tear ran down Pan's cheek, Goku placed a finger out to catch it. He then licked the tear up and then looked at Pan and the rest of us with softened eyes. "Do you remember Goku?" Lucy asked. 

Goku seemed to say yes in a weird grunt of some sort. 

Suddenly, Goku began to growl as electricity began to form around his body. He pushed us all away as his power increased.  

He started shrinking too and changing in apperance. 

"No Grandpa!" Pan shouted as Goku continued his transformation. 

When the dust settled, Goku had transformed into an adult. He had pink fur on his body, a tail, yellow pants, black hair going in more directions than usual, blue wristbands, and red lines under his face. He also had this look of determination on his face that made me shiver a little. 

"Would you look at that," Callia said. "He sure looks different." 

"Yeah, and feel that power." I added. 

Pan then flew down to where Goku was with the rest of us following right behind her. "Grandpa, I need to know, are you still on our side? The good side?" Pan asked. 

Goku turned towards us and sent a reassuring smirk our way. 

"Yeah." Pan said with a smile. 

The rest of us smiled as well, knowing Goku had finally arrived in time for combat. 

Goku came down towards us and looked at the damage. "Did I do all this?" he asked in a deep voice. 

"Goku don't you remember what happened?" Lucy asked. 

"You turned into a giant gorilla and started smashing everything around you." Callia explained. 

"You even tried smashing us." Pan added. 

"So what's the plan Goku?" I asked. 

Goku looked at us and said "I know where Baby is right now and if my plan goes smoothly, the Earth will have all its people by the end of the day. Hercule, you'll watch the girls." 

I huffed. "So you don't expect us to take care of ourselves?" I asked with a raised eyebrow. 

Goku laughed lightly. "You can take care of yourself Max, but you guys have to promise to stay out of the way so you don't get hurt. All of you have been fighting hard since I left but now it's my turn." With that, Goku flew towards Baby to fight.

"Come on." I said as I rose in the air. 

"Max, what're you doing?" Callia asked. 

"Goku told us to stay here." Lucy said. 

"And miss the smack down of the century? No way." 

The others sighed and followed me towards Goku.
