Max's POV

After making up with Pan, the next day, Lucy showed her how to make a great stir-fry while Callia and I sat in the main deck with the guys. "It's looking great Pan," Lucy commented from the kitchen. "I bet it will taste even better."

"Thanks Lucy." Pan told her.

The guys looked at each other in confusion. "Uh, since when did Pan say 'thank you' to you guys?" Mirai asked.

Callia and I giggled. "It just happened that's all." Callia answered.

"Hey, what do you think Dr. Myuu's like guys?" Goku asked. After finding out about Dr. Myuu we made it clear to everyone to keep an eye out for the mad doctor that wanted to take over the galaxy.

"We're sure to find out soon enough," Goten said. "And we find him it's sure to be one heck of a fight."

"I know Goten," Trunks said. "We need to stop him before he takes over the universe as well."

I kind of tuned out of the conversation after that because Pan was getting mad at Giru for calling her stir-fry fertilizer. "Pan, calm down." Lucy told her.

"Not until Giru apologizes!" Pan said as she prepared to throw an egg at the little robot.

I stood in the doorway and watched the whole scene, trying my best not to burst out laughing.

"Hey, I've been thinking about something," Trunks said. "I think it might be best if we go back to Earth."

"Why would we go back to Earth?" Callia asked.

"We could go back and drop off Pan and get Gohan to come help." Trunks told us.

"It sounds like a good idea," Goten said. "That way Pan, doesn't get hurt."

That's when Pan walked into the observation deck with an egg in her hands. "You guys want me to go back to Earth?" she asked with a few strain tears in her eyes. "But I don't want to go back."

"Pan, it's not that we don't want you to come on the trip or anything," Trunks tried to explain. "It's just that it's really dangerous and we don't want you to get hurt that's all."

"Uncle Goten? Grandpa? Do you think I should go back to Earth too?" Pan asked.

"I'm staying out of this one." Goku said.

"Well Pan....I kind of agree with Trunks. It'd be safer for you on Earth." Goten told her.

That was a mistake. Pan got upset and she threw an egg at Trunks before running off.

I shook my head. "Guys, that was a bit harsh, don't you think?" I asked.

"We're just trying to keep her safe." Mirai told me.

"But you can't just tell that everything she's done so far has been a waste since you want to take her back to Earth." Callia said.

"That's treating her like a child." Lucy said.

"But she is a child." Goku said.

The 3 of us girls shook our heads in frustrations. "You guys obviously didn't think about how Pan was going to feel about this." I told them.

Several hours later, we landed on a desert planet that was Giru found a dragon ball on. Too bad he didn't tell us about the heat. Right when stepped off of the ship, it felt like we had entered in an oven. Unfortunately that was only the beginning. We were immediately attacked by some centipede monsters that attacked the ship, and caused the cooler to break. (Just our luck right?)

"I'm ready for that centipede to come back." Goku said as he stood guard at the top of the ship.

"Dad, we're glad you're having fun and all, but the ship got damaged pretty badly." Goten told him.

Callia, Lucy and I walked outside after grabbing several bottles of water and were beginning to hand them out to the others. "Here you go Goku." Callia told him as she gave Goku the water bottle.

When were walking towards Trunks, Mirai and Goten, we 3 stopped when we saw that the boys had their shirts off, showing off their six-packs. Things got out a little hotter in the desert if you catch my drift.

"Guys, did it just got hotter out here or is it just me?" I asked the girls.

"It definitely got hotter." Callia said.

"Indeed." Lucy replied.   

As we sat out in the hot desert, we noticed that Pan hadn't come back outside. I went in to check on her and found that she was gone. "Pan left to find Dragon ball." Giru explained.

"She went by herself?" I asked. "We've got to find her."

I got the girls inside and we set out to find Pan on the desert planet. However, it was difficult to fly with 3 suns blaring down on you. "It's so hot." Callia complained as she wiped the sweat from her head.

"Look guys, once we find Pan we can get back to the ship." I spoke. 'But my mouth sure is getting dry.' I thought.

We packed water of course but we didn't think it'd be that hot flying around. "Pan! Pan!" Giru shouted.

We looked down to see that a centipede was just about to eat her. "Pan!" we screamed as we flew down towards her.

I charged at the centipede and gave it a good kick and punch before smacking it in the head, knocking it unconscious. I then turned my attention over to Pan, who had become unconscious. "Pan, can you hear me?" I asked as I shook her.

She didn't respond.

"We need to give her water, now." Lucy instructed.

Callia reached into the bag we had and pulled a bottle out started to pour water into Pan's mouth. She gulped it all down and then started to wake-up. "Guys? Is that you?" she asked as she strained to see us.

"Yeah Pan, it's us." I said as she sat herself up.

"What were you think?" Callia asked. "You went out all by yourself."

"I'm sorry," Pan apologized. "I was just trying to prove to Trunks and the others that I could handle this mission."

I smiled. If I were in her position, I would've done the same.

"Dragon ball found! Dragon ball found!" Giru shouted as he came over with the 5-star ball.

"Oh Giru!" Pan said as she hugged the little robot, surprising the rest of us.

The guys soon found us and thanks to Giru, we found a water source that helped repair the ship. Plus it was great for swimming.

"Listen Pan, I'm sorry for suggesting that we should take you back to Earth. You're just as important as anyone else on this team." Trunks told Pan, making the young girl smile.

I laid down in the water, letting it surround me, when Goten decided to a cannon ball, splashing me out of the water and right into Trunks' arms. "That was awesome!" Goten said as he rose to the surface.

"Watch where you jump Goten!" I shouted at him.

"Sorry Max." Goten apologized.

"You all right Max?" Trunks asked he helped me stand up.

"I'm fine." I said as I got on my own feet.

At that moment, Trunks and I looked into each others' eyes again, causing time to slow down. I don't know how long we stood there for but when I was about to speak, I got splashed in the face by Goku. "Got you Max!" he said with a laugh.

I couldn't help but laugh. "Okay then Goku, I'm coming to get you." I told him as I jumped back into the water, still thinking about the way Trunks looked at me.
