It was hard to tell my mom but I eventually found a way to do it. I left her a sticky note message before I left for school. I wrote the 2 words down and stuck it on the table. I ran away and finally found Ares who had requested to drive me to school since I am now a 'heavily pregnant woman'. It felt strange coming to school knowing that I'm pregnant. "I wanted to tell you something that's why I drove you. I'll tell you later though." He looked sad and almost looked like I actually died. I didn't like when he was like this but there was nothing I could do to make him feel better. Later on, he dragged me into a free classroom and made me sit down like he was teaching me. "I know I said I'd stay with you but I just- can't. I'm sorry.." I looked at him, my eyes filled with tears. "There is actually another girl I like. I hid her in here." She walked in and I swear I had met her before. I knew I had from somewhere and then I remembered. It was Emma. "Babe. You look stressed. Take a cig." Ares shook his head and pushed the cigarette away from him. "Drugs?" She looked up at him and smiled. "Cigarette then." I couldn't believe my eyes. I was pregnant with his child and he just dumped me for her. "Oh don't worry Angie! I won't drug you again." I nodded and walked out the classroom. In the corner of my eye, I saw Ares and Emma making out. It made me want to vomit. I realised I had Ares' phone number still so I decided to block it. After they got together, Ares' eyes were bloodshot when he came in every day. The teachers even knew he was doing drugs but because of his family they said nothing. I saw both of them smoking cigarettes outside the school gate once just when I hit 3rd trimester. I approached them, both Emma and Ares looked confused. "Can I have one?" I didn't even know what I was saying. I was pregnant! It could kill the baby! Emma finally found one and gave it to me. "Here! Don't worry you don't have to repay me or anything! It's on us this time!" Ares looked at me with concern in his eyes. He was the only one who knew I was pregnant and not just fat. "If I was to get a pack off you how much would I have to pay?" "Every time today you ask for a cig, you get one for free! Any other time it would be 1$ for one and 10$ for a pack!" "Emma. Don't give them to her!" Emma flicked Ares on the shoulder and gave him a look that said 'Shut the fuck up. I'm making sales'. I lit a cigarette and brought it to my mouth. I sucked in and blew out. For some reason- it felt good. I took a pack and stuffed it into my handbag. "See you in form Ares." I ran off noticing that school had actually opened. I sat down in my chair looking at Ares' seat which was directly next to me. I rummaged around in my bag until I found the cigarette that I didn't put in the bin. I walked over to the bin but there was someone who I ended up walking into. It was Ares. I stayed quiet and kept my head down. I put the cigarette in the bin and sat back down quickly. "Hey.. Angela?" "What?" I looked at him with boredom. "I don't think you should be smoking while pregnant. Well at least that heavily pregnant." "Blah blah blah. I don't care." I decided that I would be very careless and rude to Ares just because of the time he dumped me. A couple months later I went into labour. I gave birth to the little girl and named her Amelia. That exact day it was my birthday. "Welcome to the world Amelia. You were born on my birthday!" I smiled at her but as expected, she stayed asleep. For a couple of months I didn't have to go to school. Once that was over it would be hard to explain to Emma why I wasn't here. After giving birth, I started to smoke, drink and do drugs a lot more. I got dressed for school and walked there gloomily. I took 10 steps outside my house before I saw Ares sat just outside his property, crying. I ran over to him and knelt down. "Hey, are you okay?" He shook his head and hugged me. "What's wrong?" "It's Emma.." I rolled my eyes because I knew it would be that. "And you.." I looked at him blankly partially annoyed. "Why should I be why your sad? You abandoned me and your own child for fuck sake! I should be doing what your doing right now! You've probably been partying while I've been having to look after a whole human being. My mum kicked me out before just because YOU got me pregnant!" I stormed off to school and throughout the school day I said nothing to him. Other time, we started to be exactly how we were before. Not knowing each other. And yes I did end up stalking him again. One day after school I got a text on my laptop.
