9 : So, So Much!

Time weaves its thread,
Both joy and dread.
It heals, it reveals,
Love it conceals.
In its embrace we find solace,
Room for new love to take its place.

Jane descended the stairs, her newfound freedom evident. Two months had passed since leaving the rehab center, and she had regained strength, both physically and spiritually. Happiness radiated from within her as she embraced her new life.

In the kitchen, she pondered over what to cook. Stretching to reach a pot on the top shelf, a helping hand reached up and assisted her. With a loving smile, he kissed her cheek.

"You could've asked for my help," he said playfully, his eyes brimming with affection.

"Why aren't you working on your next chapter?" she asked curiously.

"I will, Miss Editor. But first, let me assist my lovely girlfriend in preparing lunch," he replied. Yura embraced her tightly, lifting her off the ground and spinning her around. Laughter escaped from Jane's lips as she felt the exhilaration of a joyful ride. Placing her gently on the countertop, Yura showered her face with kisses.

"Ew... that's so wet!" she protested, wiping the area and pouting. Yura gazed at her, his eyes overflowing with love and passion.

He couldn't believe that the woman he had accidentally bumped into months ago now belonged to him. Jane may not recall the encounter due to being engrossed in a phone call, but for Yura, the fiery anger he had felt towards his former editor instantly dissipated upon seeing her.

In that moment, the flames within him were extinguished.

The way Jane looked at him after he helped her pick up scattered papers from the floor sent his heart into a frenzy. Not a single smile graced her lips, yet her eyes held a power that almost drove him insane.

He couldn't even recall how many times he had pestered Eric, inquiring about the captivating woman in the publisher's office. Eric nearly lost his mind when Yura called him at three in the morning, unable to sleep with her image haunting his thoughts.

Initially, Eric had warned him to back off, stating that the lady already belonged to someone else and was deeply in love. But surrendering was not part of Yura's life motto. He tirelessly searched for any opportunity to get closer to her.

His efforts paid off when one day Eric approached him, revealing that Jane would become his new editor. The overwhelming rush of emotions that flooded Yura that day was indescribable. Suddenly, his long-delayed manuscript became a thunderstorm of inspiration, completed in a single night, solely fueled by his excitement to see her the next day.

However, upon arriving at her office, doubt began to creep into his mind. What if he treated her poorly, just as he had done with previous editors? Yura's internal turmoil shook him to the core, but he fought to quell those thoughts. He desired her with a burning passion. Thus, he fervently prayed to God, seeking solace for his restless heart and hoping she would slowly lean towards him.

And, as if by divine intervention, God granted his heartfelt wish.

"May I come in?" Eric asked, peeking into Jane's room. She motioned for him to enter, her eyes focused on a manuscript she was reading.

"How is it?" he inquired.

"Fantastic! She's truly a gifted writer," she replied, placing the manuscript gently on her desk.

"Look at that radiant smile on your face!" Jane giggled, her cheeks flushed. It seemed that Eric had noticed the positive changes in her. She was happier now, compared to the trials she had endured over the past year.

"I feel at peace now. Although I'm uncertain about what the future holds for us, I'm grateful to have someone I can rely on," Jane confessed.

"Do you have doubts?" Eric asked, his curiosity piqued. Jane set the manuscript down and nervously fiddled with her fingers before letting out a deep sigh.

"If I said I'm not afraid, I'd be lying. I'm scared, beyond words! How do I start anew? I constantly doubt myself. Can I love Yura as deeply as he loves me? He's so noble, a genuinely loving person. But what if things unfold like they did before?" Jane expressed her fears.

"What happened in the past wasn't your fault, Jane. And Yura is not David. He loves you, you know that," Eric reassured her.

"David loved me too, until he reunited with Helen."

"So you think Yura will abandon you like David?"

"I don't know. I'm just... maybe... yes... I do have doubts," Jane admitted, her voice filled with uncertainty.

It wasn't that Jane didn't love Yura. On the contrary, she loved him deeply. However, her past experiences had left her feeling insecure. She wasn't ready to open her heart fully, still haunted by the trauma of her previous relationship.

"Jane, take your time and slowly open your heart. It's not ideal to force love, but it's also not wrong to give it a chance. Yura is a wonderful man. Somehow, I believe you will overcome these feelings," Eric encouraged her. He hoped that things would work out between Yura and Jane. After all, they had endured so much to be together. It had taken them a considerable amount of time, but their love was worth the wait.

Driving back home, Jane's mind was consumed by her conversation with Eric. She pondered over her deep love for Yura, the man who had been her savior. Yet, her heart was overwhelmed by an intense fear, perhaps due to the scars of her past or simply because she loved Yura so much that the thought of him leaving felt unbearable. The fear of another heartbreak haunted her, and she couldn't hold back her tears any longer.

Suddenly, she slammed on the brakes, bringing the car to a halt. In the silence of the vehicle, she wept, unsure why her thoughts evoked such profound sadness. It felt worse than ever before, her insecurities creeping in and overwhelming her.

Her phone interrupted her moment of despair, jolting her back to reality. She answered the call hastily.

"Yes, baby?" she greeted, her voice trembling.

"Honey, where are you?" Yura's voice came through the phone.

"I'm almost home. Just a few more minutes," she replied, glancing around anxiously.

"Come home quickly. I've missed you," his voice exuded warmth, filling her heart with a sense of security.

Without a second thought, she accelerated towards home, unable to wait any longer. Time was of the essence.

It was time to put an end to her doubts.

No more questions remained.

She was going home.

She rushed inside, desperately searching for Yura. Her tears blurred her vision as she wandered through the vast condo, consumed by her longing for him.

Finally, she discovered him in his bedroom, lounging casually. His gaze shifted to her as he noticed her heavy panting, his brow furrowing in confusion.

"What's wrong, honey?" Yura inquired, seeking answers. But she couldn't find the words to respond. Discarding her bag and jacket, she leaped into his arms, capturing his lips in a passionate, fervent kiss. Yura was taken aback, momentarily stunned. He gently pushed her away, his mind overwhelmed.

"Honey...?"

"Please promise me you won't leave, even if I can't love you completely! Just stay with me and give us a chance," she pleaded, her eyes locked in a deep, intense gaze. Yura smiled, tenderly caressing her hair.

Slowly, he cupped her chin, indulging in another deep kiss. She surrendered to it, her heart brimming with authenticity. They immersed themselves in the moment, never breaking the connection. His fingers traced along her jawline, descending to the nape of her neck. He nibbled her lips, savoring them with a gentle touch. The kiss was a sweet symphony of affection.

Jane began unbuttoning her silk blouse, exposing her bare skin to Yura. However, he, being the epitome of chivalry, guided her hand to his side, prolonging the romantic encounter. The passion simmered, but he had no intention of rushing forward.

Not just yet.

He continued to kiss her tenderly, each touch filled with care and love. His other hand played with her hair, twirling it delicately between his fingers. Jane struggled to contain her desires, not wanting to appear too eager. She slid her other hand beneath Yura's nape, pulling him closer. As her lips parted, Yura's tongue delicately explored the depths of her mouth, eliciting an immediate moan. She quivered with the intensity of their love, their skin ablaze.

Why did their desires burn so fiercely in this moment?

Despite living together, Jane and Yura had chosen to occupy separate rooms. They refrained from sharing a bed, as Yura respected Jane's need for time and space to let her love grow organically. He yearned for her to open her heart willingly, to embrace their love in its purest form. His love for her knew no bounds, so immense that it moved him to tears – a rarity for him, even surpassing the depth of his love for his own mother.

Now, at long last, that day has arrived.

Yura wanted to cherish every precious moment, etching it into his memory forever. He gently pulled away from their intense encounter, his gaze overflowing with affection. Tears cascaded down his cheeks, a testament to the overwhelming emotions coursing through him.

"Jane..."

"Give me a moment," she interrupted softly, placing a finger on his quivering lips.

Yura nodded, his heart brimming with anticipation. He watched as Jane delicately wiped away the tears that streamed down his face. Her hand cradled his chin, her eyes locked onto his own, deep and penetrating.

"Yura Black, are you free this weekend?" Jane's words caught him off guard, knitting his brows in confusion.

"Yes, but why?" he inquired, his curiosity piqued. A radiant smile graced Jane's lips.

"Let's get married, shall we?"

Yura's words caught in his throat, unable to complete the question forming in his mind. Before he could utter another word, Jane's lips crashed against his, sealing their shared joy. Overwhelmed with happiness, Yura couldn't contain himself any longer. He let out a euphoric cry and playfully rolled Jane onto the bed, enveloping her in a tight embrace that bordered on suffocating, his exultation palpable.

"Yura, I'm getting impatient down here!"

"Who asked you to make me so happy?!"

"I know, but we might not have a wedding like this..!" Jane pushed him playfully, and he laughed.

"Sorry, but I'm just so incredibly happy!! Oh my goodness! We're getting married this weekend!!" He couldn't contain his excitement, laughing and shouting like a child. Jane watched him, shaking her head with a smile.

"Look at you, suddenly bursting with excitement!"

"I'd be crazy not to be!" she gave him a playful glare.

"Honey..." he suddenly took her hand in his.

"Yes?"

"I don't think I can wait any longer. Let's get married tomorrow!" Jane playfully tapped his forehead.

"Oh, come on! Be patient! I still need to find a dress and we need rings too!"

"I already have them!" he exclaimed, bounding to the side table and retrieving a large velvet box. Opening it, he revealed a pair of beautiful platinum rings, engraved with their names.

"When did you get these?"

"The day you told me you loved me. I've been keeping them since then. I really wanted to propose to you, but you beat me to it," he pouted.

"Well, are you disappointed?"

"Not at all! This is the best moment ever!" he pulled her into a tight embrace, holding her close.

"I can't wait any longer! Please, let's get married tomorrow! Please... please!" he made a cute face, trying to persuade Jane. She shook her head.

"Nope! I need to find a dress!"

"Okay, let's get married after that!"

"Why are you suddenly so desperate?"

"I'm just afraid you might change your mind..."

"Yura, I will never change my mind. If by some chance I lose my memory, just drag me to the altar, okay?" Jane made a promise to him.

"Really?" he asked, hopeful. She nodded, and Yura hugged her tightly once again.

"Oh, honey! I love you so much!"

"And I love you too, baby. So, so much!"
